The mathematical values of p (p4r6g6 vs P2X7)

The rules:

rules said:
3v3 Doubles (NFE Pokemon only)
Subs: 4 Subs per Pokemon
DQ: 32 hours
Abilities: All
Items: Training Only
Switch = OK
1 Recover / 2 Chills per Pokemon
Arena: Let's try one I just made up, SSBB Spear Pillar
Type: Neutral
Complexity: High
Restrictions: None, All moves and abilities are allowed
Format: Any

This arena is like the Spear Pillar in the game Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Wii.

Trainers will battle each other atop this mountain. A ruin of what appears to be some kind of temple covers the battlefield. The stage also has an underground layer. The underground layer has sea green crystals growing out of the ground at random that give off a beautiful glow. One can feel power emanating from all around. This power is so intense that it will make weaker trainers feel uncomfortable. Legends even speak of Legendary Pokemon frequently appearing on the platform in the middle that will interfere with the battle.

Arena's Effects on battles:

-At the beginning of every round there is a 50% chance of either Dialga, Palkia, or Cresselia appearing. When the round ends, the Legendary Pokemon will disappear. Each legendary will use it's powers to affect the battle in a variety of ways. Each Legendary has 3 powers it can use. It will use one of these powers at random before disappearing.
- If Dialga appears:
- Dialga uses it's power of time to mess up all Pokemon's Speed stats. Trick Room is in effect until the end of the round.
- Dialga attacks a random Pokemon on each trainer's side of the field. This attack is a 6 BP Special Dragon type move. It is treated as if it is being used by a Pokemon with a rank 3 Special Attack stat. This attack occurs AFTER all actions have been performed during the round.
- Dialga uses Roar. This causes both players to switch one of their Pokemon out at the end of the round. The player that is supposed to order second for the next round chooses which Pokemon to switch out first. Entry Hazards apply like normal. If a player has only Pokemon with the Ability Suction Cup, Pokemon that are under the effect of Ingrain, or Pokemon that have any other effects that prevent switching then this Roar will "Fail" against that player. The other player would still switch unless they also have effects that prevent switching. In the case a trainer has no Pokemon to switch in, then the Roar will fail for that player.
- If Palkia appears:
- Palkia uses it's power over space to influence gravity. This round is treated as if Gravity is in effect.
- Palkia attacks a random Pokemon on each trainers side of the field. This attack is a 6 BP Physical Dragon type move. It is treated as if the attack is being used by a Pokemon with an rank 3 Attack stat. This attack occurs AFTER all actions have been performed.
- Palkia uses it's control over space to change the location of some of the Pokemon on the field. A random Pokemon on each trainer's side of the field changes layers (meaning a Pokemon that was on the Aboveground layer is moved to the Underground layer and vice versa, see below for rules regarding the layers of the stage). This happens AFTER all other actions are performed this round.
- If Cresselia appears:
- Cresselia uses Lunar Dance, which will heal a random Pokemon on each trainer's side of the field by 15 HP. This happens AFTER all actions have been performed.
- Cresselia attacks with her moon blades. This attack is a 5 BP Physical Psychic attack. It is treated as if it was used by a Pokemon with an Attack rank of 3. This attack occurs AFTER all other actions have been carried out this round.
- Cresselia uses her healing powers to remove ill statuses on the field. ALL Pokemon on the field are cured of any negative status conditions, such as Poison and Sleep.

- This battlefield is divided into two layers. An Aboveground layer and an Underground layer
- When a Pokemon is sent into battle it will always start on the Aboveground layer.
- Pokemon can only attack other Pokemon that are on the same layer.
- If a trainer orders to attack a Pokemon, but the target changes to a different layer before the action is executed, then the action will target another opposing Pokemon instead on the same layer instead. If there is more than one possible target, a random one is chosen.
- There are four ways to change layers:
- Give the command "Change Layers". When this command is issued, the Pokemon will move to the layer that it currently isn't in. This command has 0 priority and costs 6 Energy. Taunted Pokemon cannot use this command. This command cannot be Disabled, but it can be Encored.
- If a Pokemon is on the Aboveground layer and it uses a Ground type move, after the effects of the attack and damage is inflicted, it will move to the Underground layer.
- If a Pokemon is on the Underground layer and it uses a Flying type move, after the effects of the attack and damage is inflicted, it will move to the Aboveground layer.
- One of Palkia's abilities can change a random Pokemon on each trainer's side of the field to the opposite layer. See above.
- The attack Thunder can target a Pokemon on the Aboveground layer, even if the user is Underground.
- The attack Earth Power can target a Pokemon on the Underground layer, even if the user is Aboveground.
- Pokemon in the Underground layer are unaffected by Weather effects. The Weather is always treated as "Clear" Underground and it cannot be changed. However, if a Pokemon that is Underground uses a Weather move it will change the Weather on the Aboveground layer.

- Everything else on this stage is normal. There are no attack restrictions. There is enough grass growing to allow moves like Grass Knot and enough water in the underground reservoirs to allow the use of Water moves (regardless if the user is in the Underground layer or not).

Summary:
- There is a chance a random legendary Pokemon will appear at the beginning of a round. This random legendary will cause a random effect to happen, then disappear when the round is over.
- The stage is divided into two layers. A Pokemon can only attack another Pokemon on the same layer. Pokemon can change layers by using the command "Change Layers" or by using certain types of attacks.

Is Murkrow still Paralyzed? In the Status it still says None. DId it wear off or did you forget to edit it in?

Also, you may have forgotten that this battle doesn't take place in the standard arena, but rather Spear Pillar. Every round a Legendary Pokemon has a 50% chance to appear and influence the battle, as described in the description of the arena.

1.( It was my understanding that moves with a ten percent chance to paralyze inflict ten percent or less paralysis.

2.( Will fix.

Edit fixed.

At least no changes had to be made due to the legendaries :]

According to the guide in the Handbook:

"15%: (Effect Spore, Tri Attack, all moves with 10% chance of paralyzing)"

Wouldn't that mean that Paralysis is at 5% now? Two levels of Paralysis has passed, because of one Full Paralysis and one round, so I believe that leaves him with 5%.

If I am wrong I am sorry. I don't quite understand this games Paralysis system because I am dense.

I won't order yet because I want to know if my target is faster than me or not. Sorry for the delay if I'm wrong and I'm just wasting time :[

It's fine. I had to read the section at least 4 times. We all make mistakes and that was a rather small one.

Now that I can order, let's get serious!

Sun WuKong the Monferno: Fire Blast @ Delibird ~ Protect ~ Will-O-Wisp @ Murkrow
IF the target uses Protect, Instead use Slack Off and push actions back. Do this only once.
IF the target isn't on the same layer that you are, then use Nasty Plot instead.
IF Taunted during a2 and/or a3, then use Heat Wave

Nora the Helioptile: Glare @ Murkrow ~ Thunderbolt @ Murkrow ~ Parabolic Charge
IF the target uses a protective or evasive move, attack the other Pokemon.
IF you are Taunted a1, then use Thunderbolt @ Murkrow instead that action.
IF there are no targets one the same level as you during an action, use the action Change Layers and push actions back.
IF Delibird isn't K.O.ed a1, then use Thunderbolt @ Delibird instead.

(This is why I always sub for "IF target is under the effects of a P/E move" rather than "IF target uses a P/E move".)

"This should work!"

Murkrow: Protect (Delibird) - Confuse Ray (Helioptile) - Brave Bird (Monferno)
IF Delibird is KOed when you would act a1, use Brave Bird (Monferno) that action instead.
IF Monferno has 16 or less HP when you would act a3, use Wing Attack (Monferno) that action instead.
IF your target is KOed when you would act a2 or a3, target your other opponent instead.

Delibird: Wind Strike (Aerial Ace + Fake Out combo) (Monferno) - Cooldown (Brick Break (Helioptile)) - Aerial Ace (Monferno)
IF Aerial Ace + Fake Out combo is illegal, use Fake Out (Monferno) that action instead.
IF your target is KOed when you would act, target your other opponent instead.

To come.

Quick as hell, Delibird moves like the wind to strike Monferno, cutting him wide open and leaving him flinching in pain, as Murkrow diverts a protective barrier to guard its partner, just in time to block Helioptile's icy stare, while Monferno's doom arrives, rending its mind and leaving the ape in mental tatters, panting and barely able to kneel on the ground, clutching its chest with one hand and its head with the other. Monferno then protects itself after the last series of attacks, but ends up wasting time and energy as no attacks come. Instead, Murkrow wafts a prismatic sphere of light over to Helioptile, who, much like a cat with a flashlight, is mesmerized by it, and ends up hurting itself instead of its planned action. Monferno tries to mimic Murkrow again, but ends up burning him. Murkrow then decides the time for fun is over, and delivers an attack with its wing leaving Monferno bleeding out on the floor, unconscious. Helioptile then tries to avenge its comrade, but the flickering light has token it's toll, and the lizard then slips and falls instead of attacking. Delibird immediately takes advantage of this slip-up, and delivers a blistering slash to Helioptile's face, but dealing no where near as much damage as before.

Nora... Why couldn't you at least get one attack through!? I must make a burnt offering to the hax gods.

I'll send out Florence the Espurr, no item.

S0L1D G0LD, I'm pretty sure that Aerial Ace + Fake Out should be dealing less damage.
(6 + 2) + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 - 3 = 17 * 1.5 = 25.5

So, this means that Monferno should still be alive until Delibird acts.

"Keep the pressure on!"

Murkrow: Assurance (Espurr) - Pursuit (Espurr) - Assurance (Espurr)
IF your target is under the effects of a P/E move, target your other opponent instead.
IF both of your opponents are on a different layer than you when you would act, use the command "Change Layers" instead and push back.
IF Delibird is KOed when you would use Assurance, use Brave Bird (Espurr) that action instead.
IF you are unable to act, push actions back.

Delibird: Aerial Ace (Espurr) - Brick Break (Helioptile) - Aerial Ace (Espurr)
IF your target is under the effects of a P/E move, target your other opponent instead.
IF both of your opponents are on a different layer than you when you would act, use the command "Change Layers" instead and push back.
IF you are unable to act, push actions back.
IF Reflect is up on your opponents' side of the field when you would act, use Brick Break (Helioptile) that action and push back.

Also, p4r6g6, if you wanted to maintain full accuracy with the arena, shouldn't there be a chance for a member of the Lake Trio to appear as well?

In the Super Smash Bros Game, the Lake Trio does appear. However, they never do anything. They are really just decoration unlike the other legends. I guess they just spectate? I actually didn't think of them, so it is possible I may add them. I don't want to make it more messy though. I may make two versions of the stage.

I'll edit in my commands later. I don't want to make bad orders at 3 am.

EDIT: COMMANDS

Maybe I can do this... Maybe... I have the power of friendship. That always seems to win in the anime and this anime based battling.

Alright Nora, let's believe in the Heart of the Cards.

Nora: Parabolic Charge ~ Thunderbolt (Delibird) ~ Parabolic Charge
IF Delibird is K.O.ed when you would act, change target to Murkrow.

Florence, You can do this girl!

Florence: Thunderbolt (Delibird) ~ Thunderbolt (Delibird) ~ Thunderbolt (Delibird)
IF Delibird is K.O.ed on a turn in which you were targetting it, use T-Bolt on Murkrow instead.

I don't know if Solid Gold saw my post, so I am double posting (I know it isn't encouraged...). If you have seen it and just haven't gotten around to it yet I apologize.

(Yes, p4, I saw your post. I am busy, though.)

And just like that, the advantage is now p4's. But can he keep it against p2's Argalis, a quite threatening mon and one of p2's original?

(Sorry, I didn't want you to feel rushed. I just didn't know if I was noticed. You weren't taking a long time or anything.)

Parabolic Charge ftw!

The legendary bug... Right now it's movepool isn't too impressive, but from my brief experience on the CAP Showdown Ladder I know this thing can learn all kinds of crazy moves. Florence, Nora, we must still be cautious.

Dark Pulse spam seems like a viable strategy. Keep up offensive momentum in addition to possibly getting a Flinch. Seems like fun :]

Florence the Espurr: Dark Pulse ~ Shadow Ball ~ Dark Pulse
IF the target is under the effects of a Protective or evasive move, then use Light Screen.
IF the target changes layers, change layers as well that action then push action back.

Nora the Helioptile: Dark Pulse ~ Thunderbolt ~ Dark Pulse
IF the target is under the effects of a Protective or evasive move, then use Substitute (25 HP).
IF the target changes layers, change layers as well that action then push actions back.

Florence, you are looking like you can't take too many more hits. As long as you get at least one or two off Nora should be able to handle it. Both of you got K.O.s, which means I couldn't be prouder of any of you. This is probably your first kill Florence. You'll be a Meowstic in no time!

"I have faith in you, Argalis. Let's hope for the best."

This it it. It all comes down to this. P2 has sent out his trusty Argalis to try and reclaim the fight, who on the send in is bombarded with pulses of malicious intent, and then raises its arm and shoots a net of electrified silk at its foes, tangling them up and shocking them. Argalis then, in a lapse of judgment, goes on the defense, creating a shimmering shield of light to try to protect it, but is shocked and mangled by the incoming attacks. Argalis then buzzes out in pain, nearly fainting Espurr, who responds with a pulse of darkness, which coupled with the weakening effects of the shadow ball last action and the incoming attack from Helioptile, faints the might cocoon.

Wow... Florence died... My cute little psychedelic cat is... gone... Pokemon battles are safe they said... Pokemon only faint they said... I'll avenge you my beloved friend!

Nora, hit him with all of your hatred. Focus it all into each Dark Pulse, then let it rain on your foe. Put all your love for Florence and all your hatred for that murdering insect into the dark energy and obliterate that frickin' pupa. For justice.

Dark Pulse ~ Dark Pulse ~ Dark Pulse
IF Protect, then Chill

Don't rest until that bug is dead.
