The Winner of Week 20 goes to z0mOG's Skull Bash Venusaur! Congratz for entering the Hall of Fame!

The Pokemon for Week 21 is Lopunny!
/

Mega Lopunny is one of the few Pokemon in OU that you don't want to mess around with as it has ridiculous speed to outspeed the entire unboosted tier, and enough power to make use of. Mega Lopunny gets the ability Scrappy, making able to hit through Ghost types making it a very hard Pokemon to switch into, making you rely on checks instead. This does make Mega Lopunny sounds broken as Pokemon in the OU tier, but it has it's flaws. Tank Chomp is a very simple and effective way to check Lopunny has it will take about 25% of HP every time it hits it; same goes to Landorus, but the difference is that it lowers Lopunny's Attack instead of recoil damage. Anyway good luck to you innovaters :]

P.S. Remember to check the SmogDex before posting your set to make sure it isn't on there (yet).

Hey when did this go from being "serious non-standard sets" to "who can create the funniest set?"

Anyway...

Offensive Utility Mega Lopunny

Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Encore
- Healing Wish
- Return / Fake Out
- High Jump Kick

Lopunny has a number of things going for it as a supporter. Its blazing speed and small-yet-perfect movepool gives it a niche over other common supporters. Usually, Lopunny will carry one utility move. However, by giving it two you give Lopunny the ability to adjust its supportive strategy according to the matchup and gives it more flexibility to account for unexpected circumstances such as a crit on a teammate or a chance to lock something into a move which is setup for its teammate (e.g. pairing it with SD/Double Dance Lando can allow for free setup on something like T-wave locked Thundurus).

Of course, there is a reason that this isn't the standard set. Carrying both Encore and HW makes it more flexible from a supportive standpoint, but it also leaves it with an arkward case of 4MSS where it has to choose between being able to hit Talon switch-ins for solid damage/having a 100% reliable STAB in Return and having the ability to net chip damage/pick off weakened scarfers/give itself a "free" mega evolution with Fake Out.

SubToxic

Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Toxic
- Substitute
- Frustration
- High Jump Kick

This is vaguely innovative I guess. Anyway Toxic is always a decent option on M-Lop, since most of its typical balanced counters (bulky Grounds and Waters) are vulnerable to it. Substitute > Fake Out is optimal imo, despite making M-Evolving against offense very prediction reliant. Sub allows you to Toxic-stall bulky threats, takes advantage of Fake Out being standard, takes advantage of opponents saccing things to you, and eases prediction. Pretty fun and effective set overall.

Banned deucer.
How does running sub > fake ease prediction? You're only toxicing the obvious bulky switchins like hippo or lando, which aren't going to do anything substantial back to you. If anything it puts more pressure on predicting right because you need to find good sub turns and a way to mega evolve lopunny without using fake out... You should probably just use fake out over sub and use toxic as the oft-switched 4th coverage move, fake out's pretty necessary, comes in handy way more often, sub is just is fucking shit, and you arent really stalling anything you toxic by subbing without sacrificing your lopunny in the process, which kind of defeats the purpose of running it in the first place.

Jesus. Obviously Sub eases prediction re when to use Toxic. Equally obviously, it makes it harder to Mega against offense, which outweighs this. However, Sub also gives the benefit of Toxic-stalling, blocking status, and taking advantage of opponents saccing mons to you. Spamming Sub to accumulate Toxic damage is actually fairly common lategame against things like Hippo, Slowbro, Lando-T, etc etc. From experience the set is a decent option.

Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Return
- Heal Bell
- Power-Up Punch

M-Lop has 2 very flexible moveslots and a huge movepool so there's plenty of choice here. With that said it's pretty hard to find something decent which hasn't already seen use. Heal bell is rarely seen, but effective - sacrificing the utility of fake out for the ability to easily come in and set up on common wisp, t-wave and toxic users such as M-Sab, Klefki and Hippo which can usually ruin Lopunny's day. It's recommended to set up at least one PuP before removing status the first time to keep the element of surprise. It also allows Lop to support its teammates - true, there are more reliable clerics, but Lopunny has the advantage of not sacrificing momentum and fitting much better on offence than the likes of, for example, Alomomola, Chansey and Clefable.

Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Teeter Dance
- High Jump Kick
- Return
- Substitute / Thunder Wave

So this set is probably going to lose because of the "comical set" that was posted on the previous page. So this set uses Teeter Dance. For those who don't know Teeter Dance confuses the target and we know how devilish confusion is. In tandem with Substitute this really drives the opponent mad since they need to hit you to even break the Sub. If you want to go a more evil way Thunder Wave along with Teeter Dance makes hitting you even harder while offering speed control support. I mean you could run all 3 but I prefer having offensive prowess

This is a serious set btw if anyone was wondering.

Lopunny @ Assault Vest
Ability: Klutz
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Return
- Switcheroo
- Magic Coat
- Healing Wish

So this set might be gimmicky, but can surprise the opponent by crippling defensive mons like Slowbro, Rotom-W, Celebi, Skarmory, Hippowdon and others that would normally fare pretty well against the expected M-Lopunny. Specifically, Slowbro can't Slack Off / T-Wave / CM, Rotom-W can't burn and regain some HP, Celebi becomes useless (except being a status absrorber), same for Skarmory, Hippowdon can't setup SR nor can it Slack Off and all of them lose their precious Leftovers. Return is the obligatory STAB move. Magic Coat is used to bounce back entry hazards, and, more importantly, M-Sableye's Will-O-Wisp (M-Sab, like all megas are immune to Switcheroo). Lastly, once Loppuny has done its job, it can sacrifice itself to heal one of its teammatesThis set especially works well with other potential megas to better bluff the standard M-Lop set.

(Shamelessly stolen from -Snow on the old Creative and Unrated sets thread)

ninja'ed by Clair but reserving Agility Lopunny

Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Return
- Substitute
- Agility

General idea: this set comes from the fact that Lopunny forces many switch-outs due to Fake Out and a good Spe tier. Not only that, but despite its good Spe Choice Scarf users such as Landorus-T, Keldeo, Latios, and Garchomp as well as faster Pokemon such as Mega Aerodactyl, Mega Alakazam, and Mega Sceptile can outspeed Lopunny and take it out without too much difficulty.
The set is the Substitute's one listed in the dex with the addition of Agility in the place of Encore. You can use Substitute in the first turn predicting a switch (or towards a Pokemon with less than 307 in Spe) or going straight for an Agility to reach 614 Spe which is enough to outspeed Choice Scarf users. Substitute is good towards status.

EVs spread: Max Atk + Adamant nature (reaching 408 Atk) because Agility replaces the need of a Spe enhancing nature. Max HP are to have a little more bulk.

ok moving on

Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Substitute
- Return
- High Jump Kick
- Endeavor

This set heavily benefits a teammate that's also weak to Lopunny's checks, such as Scarf Jirachi. Endeavor allows Lopunny to bait out its checks and counters after being worn out, putting them at an extremely low amount of health and allowing them to be easily KOed by Lopunny or a teammate the next turn. Substitute makes lowering your own health much more consistent, while also protecting Lopunny from priority and revenge killing in situations where Endeavor is less useful.

Baton Pass Mega Lopunny with Cosmic Power
Lopunny-Mega @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Substitute
- Baton Pass
- Cosmic Power
- Power-Up Punch

So some stupid shit. Still have no idea how skull bash venu won. Anyway basically throw something like azelf on the team or a mon that can get dual screens up and memento/explod/ whatever. Then go to mega lopunny, get a sub, cosmic power/ pup up, then bp to the fast sweeper. Then u make some money. Beware of Talonflame.

Lopunny-Mega @ Lopunnite
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 236 Atk / 20 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Return
- Fake Out
- Blizzard

This set obviously lures lando and chomp so you don't get weakened by helmets and intimidate. Not much else to say, but its really fun. It works well if you need these weakened for another team member so that they can sweep like talonflame.
4 SpA Mega Lopunny Blizzard vs. 252 HP / 8 SpD Landorus-T: 232-276 (60.7 - 72.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

20 SpA Mega Lopunny Blizzard vs. 252 HP / 76 SpD Garchomp: 212-252 (50.4 - 60%) --

20 SpA EVs guarantees the OHKO on standard Tankchomp:

Edit: yeah it's not so common anymore but for the sake of just 16 extra EVs you might as well IMO

Circle Throw Lopunny
Lopunny Mega @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 ATK / 160 HP / 96 SPE
Nature: Adamant
Circle Throw
Thunder Wave
Return/Substitute
High Jump Kick/Focus Punch

Sorry, didn't add description!
This set basically works as a parashuffler. I think itshows Loppuny mega in an offensive AND defensive light, taking advantage of offensive stats and a support movepool.
Early game, offensive teams are crippled by Lopunny's paralysis which she can spread using circle throw to force out opponents.
Substitute can be used to avoid paralysis from Rotom, Thundurus, Klefki and Mega Slowbro, Whilst helping with powerful defesnive mons such as Hippowdon, Gliscor and again, Mega Slowbro. Focus Punch works the same way as with Breloom (with Substitute), but Return + High Jump Kick can be used for more coverage.
You may wonder (with it's bad defenses) why it would be used over other parashufflers, but mega Lopunny holds the ability to OHKO the most dangerous cleric in the OU meta and an incredibley powerful mon anyway: Chansey. I rest my case.
