Not exactly something new but it hasnt been used at all lately while it definitely has potential as the best set in this meta without mega steelix and there isnt much shit to trap left so might as well use this.

Magneton @ Choice Specs
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest / Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def / 30 SpA
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Water] / Hidden Power [Ice]

Flygon usually prefers speed over bulk rn so it can really start wearing it down

252+ SpA Choice Specs Analytic Magneton Flash Cannon vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Flygon: 318-375 (87.3 - 103%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO

Amazing at wearing down registeel trying to switch in and eat a volt switch for the team.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Analytic Magneton Volt Switch vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Registeel: 126-148 (34.6 - 40.6%) -- 60.5% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Isn't Analytic standard right now? Magnet Pull is still cool and all for your Venusaur and Meloetta or whatever but Analytic is so much better and there are limited defensive switching (depending if you are HP Grass / Water or Ice there are different switchins)

Magneton @ Eviolite
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid / Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch / Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Magneton has a crappy movepool and besides Dual Screen or Sub + 3 Attacks, this was what I could figure out. Analytic is better since Magnet Pull isn't really going to trap anything relevant with this set and Sturdy seems kinda counter-productive. RestTalk + Eviolite gives it longevity; Nature is either outspeed Modest Venusaur (in fack this is a nice switch-in to SP Venusaur though guessing the Knock Off is a hard task) and alike or Modest gives more power. But most important, this set wrecks HP Ground-less Vivillon and SubNP Jynx, two underrated and stupidly powerful mons. Not much else to say here.

Magneton @ Light Clay / Eviolite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon

This one looks a fun set for more offensive teams that rely on setup sweepers to win. You setup a screen when you have a free switch and then you switch out to the setup sweeper if you know you can setup, otherwise you go to another pokémon that can threaten the opposite team and it will take not a big damage unless super effective hits because of the screen!

Magneton @ Life Orb / Expert Belt
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder Wave
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch / HP Ice / HP Water

This Magneton is very simple. It can T-wave stuff that likes to switch in to it. LO is for damage but E-Belt can be used to bluff Specs. You can burn off Lum Berry from SD Virizion or better yet paralyze CM Virizion. CM Virizion is a pretty safe switch in to Specs Magneton when locked into Tbolt especially if Virizion is at full health. This makes an Expert Belt lure very effective if used right. It can get past swtich-ins like Camerupt with HP Water if the team does not care about Volt Switch. I used Virizion as an example, but other offensive checks to Magneton that don't like T-wave include Emboar, Gallade, Houndoom, Delphox, and AV Tangrowth.

That's all!

Magneton @ Zap Plate
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Lock-On
- Zap Cannon
- Flash Cannon
- Volt Switch

Bluff Choice Specs with Zap Plate, then when they least expect it, Lock-On and hit them with a powerful, paralysis-inducing Zap Cannon. You might want to run a Dugtrio and a lure for stuff like Flygon and Seismitoad since this set isn't running a Hidden Power. You could probably run a Hidden Power like Water over Flash Cannon.

I don't have to take this. I'm going for a walk.

Magneton @ Eviolite
Ability: Magnet Pull / Analytic
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Toxic
- Hidden Power Water / Hidden Power Fire

Nothing fancy with this set other than Toxic over Magnet Rise. The nice thing about Toxic is the fact that all common Ground types bar Flygon and Gastrodon has access to reliable recovery which makes Toxic a good option to wear down threats such as Mega Camerupt and Rhypherior without have to predict with HP Water and its nice for wearing down Seismitoad, as well as opposing Electric types like Eelektross and Rotom-C . HP Fire remains here to hit Bronzong, Escavalier, and other Magnetons. If not running HP Fire, then Analytic is better here over Magnet Pull.
