Project The Next Best Thing

Froakie @ Berry Juice
Ability: Protean
Level: 5
EVs: 28 HP / 228 Atk / 36 Def / 4 SpD / 188 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Waterfall
- U-turn / Substitute / Power-Up-Punch
- Acrobatics
- Rock Slide / Power-Up-Punch / Thief

Stereotypical physical Froakie with Berry Juice and Acrobatics, the second move can be U-Turn for momentum, Substitute to win some momentum too when expecting a switch or a support move and to help Berry Juice activate or PUP to boost its Attack, the fourth moveslot can be either Rock Slide to deal with Flying-types or Thief to get items after using Berry Juice even though with Acrobatics it isn't a really wise idea.

OP is rlly rlly bad (Froakie) @ Salac Berry
Ability: Protean
Level: 5
EVs: 36 Def / 184 SpA / 84 SpD / 188 Spe
Modest Nature
- Substitute
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Here, Froakie attempts to become a decent late game cleaner. STAB Hydro Pumps hurt, a lot. Ice Beam and HP grass provide coverage, gaining 2HKOes thanks to STAB. Sub allows you to get down to Salac Berry range and can defend against Fake Outs when used on a forced switch. Salac Berry makes it as fast as a Choice Scarfer, just able to switch between its moves. Petaya Berry can be used on a Sticky Web team. The option to go physical is also there as well.

Jolly Nature
- Taunt
- Thief / Waterfall
- Acrobatics
- U-Turn

I've actually almost used this once which makes me an authority on it. Essentially, itemless Froakie is and always will be the way to go to abuse Thief and Acrobatics. The point of this set is Taunt as with it, Froakie has a chance to block hazards and support your team. A potential first turn would be, say, Taunting a Dwebble and using Thief or U-turn on a switch. I don't include Waterfall since it's not necessary and since Acrobatics is your main STAB move; be careful not to steal an Eviolite when using Thief. Because that risk exists, you can use Waterfall instead of it, but it's nice grabbing Berry Juice and shit.

I like Taunt Froakie.

Blajaran is unanimously elected as winner with his taunt Froakie.

Next best thing is the "grumbler" Snubbull

Snubbull @ Eviolite
Ability: Rattled
Level: 5
EVs: 36 HP / 196 Atk / 36 Def / 36 SpD / 196 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Earthquake
- Bulk Up
- Thunder Wave / Heal Bell

The general Idea of this set it is to nab a speed boost from a Knock Off/U-Turn/something to activate Rattled and then go to town on the opposing team. Play Rough and Earthquake are obligatory while the last two moves are rather filler. Bulk Up allows you to have some decent boosts and be fairly powerful with your coverage but can be substituted out for Close Combat to hit Ferroseed harder. 12 Speed is run to hit 18 at +1 since most things in the 18/19 speed tier you don't generally want to say in on making Jolly a little useless. It's a fun set.

Snubbull @ Eviolite
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 5
EVs: 196 HP / 36 Atk / 36 Def / 196 SpD / 36 Spe
Careful Nature
- Play Rough
- Bulk Up
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

CroSnubbull. Play Rough has good coverage and no immunities, so it pulls off mono-attacking better than most mons. max spdef helps it tank special hits better, as with intimidate and BU not much def investment is needed. can be pretty hard to take down if you lack something like magnemite, and its basically the physical version of cm spritzee. it can take on ponyta and larvesta much easier than cm spritzee too, so thats nice.

Snubbull @ Berry Juice
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 5
EVs: 116 HP / 196 Atk / 36 Def / 124 SpD / 36 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Focus Punch
- Substitute
- Thief
- Play Rough / Earthquake

Set up Sub when forcing switches, hit hard with Focus Punch, Play Rough or EQ (for Poison-types) behind the sub. Substitute forces to activate Berry Juice so you can use Thief to steal an item.

why would you ever wanna give up play rough to hit poison types, run earthquake as a thief slash as thief's only offensive help is vs either archen or gastly, which will win if subdisable no matter your set.

strong doge puts up a front when forcing switches and uses Power-Up Punch to make it even stronger, Berry Juice basically ensuring it either gets a +1 or can cripple SOMETHING with Twave, which is yet another chance to a) set up another Sub or b) get a +1 or another Punch to +2. whatever the situation calls for
