I vote for speed ghilliesniper's Rain Dance Escavalier. Definitely not your average Megahorn spammer.

    Entei @ Heat Rock
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SAtk
    Adamant Nature
    - Sunny Day
    - Flare Blitz
    - SolarBeam
    - ExtremeSpeed

The mighty fire dog! This is an offensive weather setter, which is a bit harder to find than a defensive Sun setter. It's role is to set sun and possibly wreck havoc on the opponent's team with an extremely strong Flare Blitz. This Entei also absolutely destroys Hail, with the combination of Sunny Day and Flare Blitz. Solar Beam is a stronger alternative to HP Grass that wrecks any Water type's that resist Flare Blitz, and Entei still beats Qwilfish with Sun up (Waterfall doesn't 2HKO, which is pretty nice.) All in all, this set is pretty effective with or without a full Sun team.

    Entei @ Leftovers
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SDef
    Calm Nature
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk
    - Lava Plume
    - Roar

While Entei is usually seen as a physical attacker, breaking through pretty much any Pokemon that doesn't resist Fire-type attacks with a powerful CB Flare Blitz while using ExtremeSpeed to revenge kill frailer opponents, this set takes a completely different approach: using Entei's good 115/85/75 bulk to make a surprisingly good defensive Pokemon. Firstly, because of Entei's great bulk and resistance to Ice-type attacks, Specially defensive Entei makes a naturally good check to hail teams, only taking 37% maximum from even Choice Specs Glaceon's Blizzard while being able to use Restalk to keep itself healthy and heal itself from status, furthermore, Entei has Pressure to quickly drain the PP of Blizzard. Outside of hail abusers, Entei makes a good check to various other common Pokemon such as Sceptile, Lilligant, Accelgor, Rotom-C, Typhlosion, Magmortar, Klinklang, Escavalier, Tangrowth, and Amoonguss as well as an excellent Sleep Absorber, ensuring it has utility outside of being a hail check. Lava Plume is a great STAB move to have on a defensive Pokemon, functioning quite a bit like Scald, and its exceptionally useful given many Pokemon that commonly switch on Entei such as Rhydon and Kabutops hate being burned. Lastly, Roar lets Entei rack up hazard damage on the opponent and phaze out Pokemon attempting to set up on it, also, Sleep Talk bypasses Roar's decreased priority, so Entei can get a quick Roar off in some cases while asleep.

Credit to Limitless for the set concept! :)

    Entei @ Power Herb
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 136 HP / 120 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Substitute
    - Calm Mind
    - Flamethrower/Fire Blast
    - SolarBeam

That's another version about CM sweeper Entei. The idea is already proposed by FLCL for another pokemon, it's to surprise a water/rock/ground type switch in with a powerful SolarBeam, even without sunshine. Flamethrower is the choice if you prefer the accuracy, otherwise you can use Fire Blast.

    Some damages calculation:
    120 SpA Entei SolarBeam vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Quagsire (RU Physical Wall): 508-600 (128.93 - 152.28%) -- guaranteed OHKO
    120 SpA Entei SolarBeam vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Kabutops (RU Choice Band): 480-568 (183.2 - 216.79%) -- guaranteed OHKO
    120 SpA Entei SolarBeam vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Sandslash: 288-340 (81.35 - 96.04%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

    Entei @ Life Orb
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
    Adamant / Jolly Nature
    - Flame Charge
    - Substitute
    - Flare Blitz
    - Stone Edge

After just one Speed boost, Entei will be able to outspeed the entire unboosted tier and also many Choice Scarf Pokemon. Entei can force quite a few switches, allowing many opportunities to safely Substitute and then begin setting up.

    - Swagger
    - Psych Up

    - Extremespeed

Entei can use this set to boost up to +2 with a combination of Swagger + Psych Up. Flare Blitz is an awesome STAB and Extremespeed is your priority move.

Here is my submission, a different Calm Mind set than the one proposed and the one already on-site.

    Entei @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure (Flash Fire upon release)
    EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SpD
    Nature: Calm/Sassy
    -Lava Plume
    -Calm Mind
    -Hidden Power Grass/Hidden Power Water
    -Extrasensory/Stone Edge/Shadow Ball

This is the special tank version of Entei that relies on natural bulk to set up rather than Substitutes. Lava Plume is the best STAB because of its nice burn rate, patching up the not-so-good physical defense, letting Entei set up more, with Calm Mind. The coverage options have some preference in them. Hidden Power Grass takes care of most of Entei's own weaknesses (obviously replace with Solarbeam if on a sun team), to Pokemon such as Kabutops and Rhydon on the switch in. However, if your team has a lot of Fire weaknesses and not as many Water weaknesses, then Hidden Power Water is the next best choice (e.g., if the rest of the team is Cradily, Escavalier, Torterra, Amoonguss, and Magneton, HP Water would be better). Extrasensory is good for Fighting-types, especially Hariyama, as it would LOVE to get burned by Lava Plume, and also for the occasional Poison-type that is hit harder by it than Lava Plume. Stone Edge could be used to make this a mixed set and hit many Pokemon such as Magmortar, Charizard, and Aerodactyl (use this with HP Grass), and Shadow Ball is a bit situational, but leaves good dents in Uxie, Sigilyph, and Misdreavus.

    Entei @ Choice Specs
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
    Timid Nature
    - Overheat / Fire Blast
    - Shadow Ball
    - Hidden Power [Grass]
    - Sleep Talk

This is an Entei set that I found particularly useful a few months ago for catching physical walls and water/rock pokes, that 4x resist Entei's standard main STAB, that like to switch in (like Quagsire, Alomomola, Poliwrath, Intimidate Qwilfish, and Kabutops, Carracosta, and Omastar) off guard with a specially based set that can deal significant damage, or OHKO all of them. Like most choice sets this set is meant to take a hit-and-run approach, which is why it features Overheat over the other specially based options, not to mention specs Overheat has huge damage potential.

Shadow Ball is meant mostly for hitting Slowking, but is also useful for when Overheat won't suffice (i.e. when multiple turns of attacking are expected and the lost power that goes along with Overheat won't cut it). Sleep Talk is of course there to lend teams a way around sleep inducers, and because of his typing Entei makes a good counter to most of the grass type pokes that are spreading sleep in the first place.

Overall this set will never be standard, as access to Extreme Speed and Entei having a higher natural attack stat means that the physical set is overall more solid, but the potential to break down key walls on an opponents team makes this Entei a potential dangerous threat on any team.

    Some quick calcs:

    Show Hide
252SpAtk Choice Specs Flash Fire Entei (Neutral) Hidden Power (Grass) vs 4HP/0SpDef Weak Armor Kabutops (Neutral): 181% - 215% (476 - 564 HP). Guaranteed OHKO.
252SpAtk Choice Specs Flash Fire Entei (Neutral) Hidden Power (Grass) vs 4HP/0SpDef Solid Rock Carracosta (Neutral): 130% - 154% (378 - 447 HP). Guaranteed OHKO.
252SpAtk Choice Specs Flash Fire Entei (Neutral) Hidden Power (Grass) vs 252HP/0SpDef Leftovers Weak Armor Omastar (Neutral): 138% - 163% (476 - 564 HP). Guaranteed OHKO.
252SpAtk Choice Specs Flash Fire Entei (Neutral) Hidden Power (Grass) vs 252HP/0SpDef Leftovers Alomomola (Neutral): 62% - 73% (332 - 392 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO.
    252SpAtk Choice Specs Flash Fire Entei (Neutral) Shadow Ball vs 252HP/0SpDef Leftovers Slowking (+SpDef): 43% - 51% (170 - 202 HP). Guaranteed 3HKO.

I thought Flash Fire was not released. Also, why do you use Overheat over Fire Blast? In my opinion, the damage difference is too small to use Overheat as the only STAB attack, especially as Entei is weak to Stealth Rock.

I added in the option of Fire Blast on the set, as the main idea of the submission is just that it's a Choice Specs set intended to catch opponents off guard with the attack type inversion and I almost entirely agree. I'll try to add some calcs later today that look at the difference between Overheat and Fire Blast, but I have to run right now.

Imo you might as well just replace shadow ball with fire blast. Shadow Ball really isn't hitting that much at all unless it gains a notable KO on slowking, as nve fire blast does more damage than neutral shadow ball factoring in STAB.
