THE REMATCH (S0L1D G0LD vs. Tavok)

The last battle for reference.

We are here for another match between S0L1D G0LD and Tavok. The last one went easily in favor of the more experienced S0L1D G0LD, who decimated Tavok in his inaugural battle. However, Tavok has played and even reffed a few battles since then, and so this one promises to be much closer. Now, to the rules.
The Rules said:
- Training Items
- 5 Chills / 2 Recoveries
- 2 Day DQ
- Switch = OK
- All Abilities
- 2 Subs
-ASB Arena
Team Tavok:

Gambo (Munchlax (M))
Nature: Quiet (+SpA, -Spe)

Type:

- Normal: Normal STAB; +1 BAP on attacks that match dominant arena type after 3 actions. Unable to have Thrash or Outrage disrupted by oncoming damage.

Abilities:

- Pickup (Passive): This Pokémon has a natural habit of collecting items. Whenever a hold item (its own or an opponent’s) is thrown away with a move like Fling, or knocked onto the ground with a move like Knock Off, this Pokémon will immediately pick up that item without using an action. It can also grab dropped or naturally occurring hold items in arenas.
- Thick Fat (Passive):This Pokemon has a great deal of extra fat or muscle that increases its resistance to extreme heat or extreme cold, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire- and Ice-typed attacks to the next level of resistance (2x weak becomes neutral, neutral becomes resistance, etc.)
- Gluttony (Locked) (Passive): This Pokemon devours healing and stat increasing berries at 50% health (flat) instead of 25% health (flat). It also regains two (2) HP per action when holding Leftovers.

Randy (Metang (-))
Nature: Quiet (+SpA, -Spe)

Type:

- Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.
- Psyquic:Psychic STAB; can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:

- Clear Body (Passive): This Pokémon's body structure makes it immune to stat-lowering moves used by opponents. (e.g. Intimidate, Growl, Screech etc.)
- Light Metal (Passive): The Pokémon's body is made of a lightweight but extremely strong alloy. It weighs half as much as other members of the species, but is equally sturdy. The Pokémon executes weak attacks much more effectively, adding +1 priority to all their attacks with 6 or less Base Attack Power (after other ability adjustments). Priority is applied to the summed Base Attack Power of a multi-hit move (e.g. Double Kick has priority at 6 BAP, Skill Link Bullet Seed doesn't at 15 BAP.)

Team S0L1D G0LD:

Doublade (Infinity Blade)[M]
Nature: Brave
Type:
Ghost/Steel

Ghost: Ghost STAB; immune to the effects of full trapping moves and the Arena Trap, Magnet Pull, and Shadow Tag abilities. Ghost types can switch out while affected by a partial trapping move, but they will be damaged every action by their effect.
Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.

Abilities:

No Guard:

Type: Passive

This Pokemon has an immense confidence from perfecting each of its attacks, giving them all perfect accuracy. As a result, it feels it can weather every strike, and will not dodge an attack even if ordered to. Only when an OHKO move is issued by the opponent does sense return, and the Pokemon acts normally. Additionally, even with their extra skill, the power and exhaustion involved in using OHKO moves prevents them from being benefited by No Guard; they will have their normal accuracy.

WHY DID YOU BRING THEM BACK!? T.T

"Well, this doesn't look well... seems like we should have bought EQ for Randy. Let's try our best anyway.

GO,
Gambo @ Amulet Coin!"

Quite frankly put, tavok, because these are the two I'm grinding with. Made no difference who I was fighting.

So, If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Sending out Dom @ Exp. Share

High Jump Kick - Drain Punch - High Jump Kick
If counter is used, use Focus Blast that action and push back.
If a successful p/e move is used, switch that action to chill and push back.

Also wtf this escaped my alerts.

No problem. But I hate how they completely counter - team me T.T

"Let's try and not lose as horribly..."

I don't know what Gambo is thinking here. First he decides to Protect, but apparently he didn't see Dom's sub, so Dom simply Chills. Dom then releases a powerful High Jump Kick as Gambo tries to poison him with Toxic. Finally, they both repeat the first round, with Gambo again failing to notice Dom's sub and Protecting as the Riolu chills.

Hey, I can't do much ¬¬ Also, I did see his sub, but he has full and then almost full energy, so let him waste his chills.

Psychic - Zen Headbutt - Psychic
IF physical fighting type move (I learned my lesson), THEN Counter and push actions back.
IF Dominic Santiolu has Double Team clones when you would attack, THEN Earthquake and push actions back.

That Hi Jump Kick hits like a truck T.T

Ah yes, this is one of those limited chill battles.

Drat.

Anywho, you can reorder if you want, tavok. I'm a bit curious to see how you'll order. Plus, I am looking to see how interesting this will turn out.

And swf, Riolu's accuracy bonus means you do not need to roll for hjk to hit.

Acually, I was ordering S0L1D G0LD xD

Well... this sucks. Let's at least get some damage off...

Psychic - Zen Headbutt - Psychic
IF Hi Jump Kick, THEN Counter.
IF Dominic has Double Team clones up when you would move, Earthquake and push actions back.

Time for the old one-two punch.

Onwards to victory!

Drain Punch - Focus Blast - Drain Punch

(Alright, then, tavok. Didn't mean to make you feel rushed.)

I need to go a few hours over DQ, I was planning to ref it tonight but it looks like I am going to end up staying late at my Grandmother's house for XMas eve, so I'll ref it first thing in the morning.
Sorry!

Gambo's damage calculations are wrong. Gambo has rank 3 Atk AND SpA, so both rank bonuses should be 4.5. Also, Riolu receives less damage from Zen Headbutt, since it's defense is rank 2, so defense rank bonus should be 3 instea of 1.5. Also, gotta love Focus Miss: I can't believe that even with Gambo's evasion reduction and Santiolu's accuracy boost it managed to miss.

No way we're going down without a fight.
