Challenge The Scramble Challenge - Mark 2

13laze13oy, take Boing! (or some other onomatopoeia) the Spoink. Boing! is always in motion, to the point where it can't focus (in other words, it can't use special moves with more than 60 BP) or Rest. It also has a habit of switching out after 3 turns in battle. This rule does not apply to soloes. It feels that its moveset should move around as much as it does, so whenever it tries to learn a move by level-up (barring Psychic, Rest and Snore), it must learn said move. Also, it is always under the effect of Torment. Finally, it hates how Slaking are so lazy, so Boing! must solo every Slaking you encounter.
Catch Spoink, nickname Boing! (or some other onomatopoeia if you'd prefer)
Can't use special moves with more than 60 BP
Can't use Rest
Can only stay in battle for 3 turns, barring soloes.

Boing! must solo every Slaking you fight

RODAN

Banned deucer.
aight crystal dragon

take dogman the houndour

hes a dog

so he can only use the following moves

growl/roar/howl/bite/dig/crunch/rest

dog

Fire Blast, take Arceus the Chimchar.
This Chimchar thinks he's the god of all Pokemon, so he tries to make things a little easier on his opponent.
He can never use super-effective moves, and can only use Fire-type moves if Blaze is active.

He must solo your rival every time, and can evolve after the second and fourth times.

Over a year later, revenge is complete...

@Fire Blast
Take Zap the Skorupi
Zap hates electric types, so every route where an electric type is the first encounter, you must solo the entire route with Zap. Zap also hates you for naming it Zap, so you must teach it Frustration ASAP and use it every other turn. Other turns, a move that has the same type as Zap can only be used. To evolve, solo Sunyshore Gym. Also must solo Flint's Magmortar and Flareon.

Fire Blast, take Arceus the Chimchar.

He can never use super-effective moves, and can only use Fire-type moves if Blaze is active.

That seems a bit too grindy. I dont really want to spend a lot of time getting to a point where i can Scratch my rival to death.

Also, I can trade in stuff from other games, so if you want to give me a pokemon that I wouldnt normally get in Platinum, Ill trade in a Lvl 1 version.

Fire Blast, take Ecuador the Starly. Ecuador's goal in life is to start a family, and to do this, he feels as if he must solo every male Flying-type Pokemon you encounter, to eliminate the competition. Solo 10 male Flying-types to evolve to Staravia. Said Flying-types must be within 5 levels of Ecuador.
Eventually, Ecuador finds a mate, a female Staravia. Catch it without doing damage to it or statusing it. Ecuador must also lead your party when catching it. You don't have to nickname the mate, but if you do, nickname her Bolivia. Unfortunately for Ecuador, Bolivia isn't exactly taken by him, so to win her heart, Ecuador proceeds to:
learn Return (and never forget it), and solo 5 trainers with Return alone. Bolivia must be in the party during this solo.
demonstrate his expertise in hunting prey (solo 10 Bug-types with Ecuador). Bolivia must be in the party during this solo.
spend 3 in-game and 24 real time hours with Bolivia in the Day Care.

After these things are done, Bolivia warms up to Ecuador and becomes his mate. They then mate, and after the egg hatches (with Ecuador and Bolivia both in the party), Ecuador becomes so overjoyed that he evolves to Staraptor. You don't have to nickname the hatchling, but if you do, nickname it either Manaus or Amazon. Finally, since Ecuador is unsure about his ability to protect his child, he decides to solo Byron. Bolivia and Manaus/Amazon have to be in your party when you fight Byron. You can have them partake in the battle, but if either of them faint, you'll have to reset.
Have fun!

So far I have
Spoink
Catch Spoink, nickname Boing! (or some other onomatopoeia if you'd prefer)
Can't use special moves with more than 60 BP
Can't use Rest
Can only stay in battle for 3 turns, barring soloes.
Boing! must learn every move it learns by level-up, barring Psychic, Rest, and Snore
Boing! is always under the effect of Torment
Boing! must solo every Slaking you fight

Tentacool
Take a Tentacool, name it whatever you like. This must be the first Tentacool you encounter.
Solo a gym leader against which you do not have a type advantage to evolve.
May only have one move with >60 BP, and must always (ASAP) have a move that deals no direct damage.
Solo six pokemon in the pokemon league (E4 and Champion). If possible, solo at least one from each member.
RNG a number from 1 to 17. Arrange the types in alphabetical order, and the number you generate is the type which Tentacool cannot fight.

Numel
13aze13oy, take a Numel and name her Mr. Humpy
This Numel is fiercely convinced she is in a Nuzlocke run, so she believes that fainting is death.
Each time she faints, she comes back with harder restrictions, to punish you for your carelessness.
After the first time she faints, she can only use STAB moves if they have full PP.
After the second, she can only use ground-type moves at full health, and fire-type moves from below half health.
After the third, she cannot use super-effective moves.
After the fourth, she can only use Normal-type moves and cannot be healed by healing items.
To evolve, she must solo three trainers in Norman's gym.
She must solo three Pokemon in the elite four, no matter what.

Minun
13laze13boy take Navi the Minun!
Have you ever wondered why Minuns are so small and adorable? Obviously its because they are fairies! Navi heard about how Link hated his/her mother the other Navi, because of this Navi only wants to help its team to prove it is good and not useless and annoying. It can only have 1 attacking move because it doesn't like to hurt people. The other 3 moves must be support moves (like T-wave or helping hand but not stuff like charge that only helps itself.) Navi also can only attack 3 times before switching out. Lastly, Navi must come in on every double battle if it can.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed love the unique challenges.

Good enough?

13aze13oy, take a Numel and name her Mr. Humpy, after the Numel in Nuzlocke's Nuzlocke.

Good luck, Nuzlocker! (Be honest!)

I'm gonna start my ruby scramble soon so before I start here is my team. I changed 2 pokemon (Ninja and Shakespeare) because they don't make sense if the creators have a problem with this we can work something out.

THE TEAM
TheMagicalCake:

Herd the Mudkip grew up during the "I Herd U Like Mudkips" fad and is obsessed with people liking him. His dream is to win all four Tough Contests in Hoenn, and will only learn Tough moves because of that. He also will only evolve after winning two Tough Contests (per evolution). However, he can't stand the taste of Pokeblocks and refuses to eat them, and he also refuses to sit in the Box while his friends battle. Finally, he must solo Wattson, the only Gym Leader to never buy into the fad.

Recap:
- Must be in the party at all times.
- Only Tough moves
- Solo Wattson.
- Win the Fallarbor Town Tough Contest to evolve to Marshtomp.
- Win the Lilycove City Tough Contest to evolve to Swampert.
- No Pokeblocks.

there once was a famous man named willy shakespeare, he wrote shit

anyway hes a pokemon now and hes a classy gentleman but hes also quite feminine so hes a skitty

in order to evolve him you must beat a pokemon or trainer with him that starts with each letter in "The Taming of the Shrew" (Repeated letters each time they appear)

once he is a delcatty you may only attack 3 times before switching out
TheMagicalCake, take Ninja the Nincada. Ninja obviously aspires to become a ninja, and it feels that to accomplish this, it must learn the ways of the ninja by learning Toxic, Sandstorm and Flash and also by soloing every Ninja Boy in the game. After these actions are done, Ninja can evolve. If Ninja gets in the yellow or statused, it must switch out immediately and never fight again until it gets back to full health/its status gets restored. Proper ninjas are independent, and thus Ninja refuses to use any items.

After Ninja evolves, it gets into an offscreen accident and dies. It is then brought back to life in Mt. Pyre, as a Shedinja, by Hex Maniacs. Because Ninja was revived by the Hex Maniacs, it decides to solo the Magma Grunts on Mt. Pyre, to restore peace to Mt. Pyre and the spirits that rest there. Ninja still feels like it must repay it's debt to the people of Mt. Pyre, so it soloes Groudon, the result of Team Magma's work. After the solo, Ninja realizes that it's time in the world is short, and decides to help you out one last time by leading your party through Victory Road. After this is done, Ninja departs this world. You must keep Ninja in your party for the rest of the game, but you may not use it when fighting the Elite Four or Steven.
Good luck!

Recap Catch Nincada, nickname Ninja
You may not use items on Ninja
If Ninja gets into the yellow or gets statused, you must switch it out and may not use it again until it's health/status is restored
Ninja must learn 3 status moves, one of which must be Toxic, and must solo every Ninja Boy in the game to evolve
After Ninja evolves, you may not use it until you get to Mt. Pyre
Ninja (which is now a Shedinja) must solo all of the Magma Grunts on Mt. Pyre
Ninja must solo Groudon
Ninja must lead your party through Victory Road and never be used again

A Zubat shall give you this "hard" challenge you are looking for. Just gimme a few minutes to write it. :)

Well TheMagicalCake, you get a Zubat named Flapper. This Zubat is the latest in a long line of Cheri Berry Zubats, all named Flapper, these bats lurk in the darkness of Granite Cave, holding Cheri Berries & trolling unsuspecting challengers who catch them by refusing to battle without a Cheri Berry. That is, the basic restrictions of these creatures is that they must hold a Cheri Berry to Fight. If it loses it mid-battle, it must switch out. No Exceptions. This Cheri Berry Zubat, however, is rather suicidal, & because the internal clocks on all R/S Games by now have dried out, you only have 8 Cheri Berries to last you throughout the game. The number of Cheri Berries you consume adds an extra restriction each time.

0 Consumed: No Extra Restrictions.
1 Consumed: Flapper may only use Level-Up moves.
2 Consumed: Flapper must come into the battle against Electric-Type & Grass-Type Pokemon you face, excluding when another Pokemon has a mandatory solo.
3 Consumed: Flapper may only use attacking moves.
4 Consumed: Flapper can never switch out against all Electric & Grass-Type Pokemon you face, nor can you run from these battles, unless Flapper loses its Cheri Berry, excluding when another Pokemon has a mandatory solo.
5 Consumed: Flapper must lead the party at all times, the only exception is when another Pokemon has to lead the party.
6 Consumed: You may never use Items on Flapper.
7 Consumed: Flapper can never switch out, nor can you run from battles, excluding when another Pokemon has a mandatory solo.
8 Consumed: You lose the Scramble.

To make this harder, Flapper may never leave the party at any given time, must stay within 5 levels of the highest leveled Pokemon on your team at all times, may never evolve, & to get the ball running, Flapper must lead the party in all battles in the Mauville Gym, even Wattson, in which case, you must switch Flapper out Turn 1. Flapper may never switch out against Wattson's Gym Lackeys, unless it loses its Cheri Berry.

One more thing, Under no circumstance are you allowed to Soft Reset (Turn off the game without saving first, with the intention to recover lost Cheri Berries). If you do, you must throw out 2 Cheri Berries, plus the ones you consumed before soft-resetting, each time you break this rule. This counts as consuming Cheri Berries for the purposes of this challenge.

Another thing, Selling or throwing away Cheri Berries also count as consuming Cheri Berries for the purposes of this challenge, just to make this challenge less exploitable.

Have fun. It is not my fault you asked for a Hard Scramble, you only have yourselkf to blame; We just give you the challenges. Go on, reject this, you know you want to...
TheMagicalCake, you get Bandit the Zigzagoon.

You must catch Bandit ASAP. He must have Pick Up. Every time Pick Up activates, it will be considered stealing for the sake of this challenge. Bandit also has the philosophy of "There can only be one", so you cannot have any other Zigzagoons or Linoones.

Bandit wants to be the very best, that no one ever was. Of course, he doesn't want to be a pokemon master. That would be silly. No, Bandit wants to be the bets thief in the world. Every time Bandit steals an item, you must discard that item and items in your bag with a price equal to or greater than the item that was stolen (Item Prices in Ruby / Sapphire ) ASAP, because you aren't a thief, but everyone accuses you as the thief. If you cannot, you must add this price to your dept. As long as you are in dept, you cannot buy items unless you are buying items to pay of your dept (for example, you can only buy a potion in the store while in dept if it's to pay off your dept.) or enter Pokemon Centers. They do not do offer their service to people in dept because hey, they should be paying off their dept, not buying items or healing! If you black out while in dept, it's game over (because you can't use them).

Bandit must learn Thief ASAP so he can start stealing during battle. You can never give Bandit an item, because then he cannot steal, and that makes Bandit sad. Bandit can also never be the lowest leveled party member, because Bandit is competitive. If he is, you must grind him up until he is the highest leveled pokemon in your team. Bandit can also never be boxed because you can't steal from inside a box, and Bandit must steal all the things. Bandit can only evolve after it stolen 10 items.
The price for a Pokemon Center trip is 250 x the number of pokemon in your team. Hey, what did you expect, free healing? Someone has to pay for the electricity of the machine. Electricity doesn't grow from trees. If you only need to heal one pokemon, you can always use the box trick. It cost 250 per pokemon, so it's cool if you need a heal for one pokemon. If all of your pokemon faint and you cannot afford the Pokemon Center, it's game over. Also, if you beat Steve while in dept, you lose the challenge.

Well Organized Version
- You must catch Bandit ASAP.
- He must have Pick Up.
- Bandit is the only Zigzagoon/Linoone you can own.
- Pick Up = Stealing.
- Every time Bandit steals an item, you must discard that item and items in your bag with a price equal to or greater than the item that was stolen (Item Prices in Ruby / Sapphire ) ASAP.
- If you cannot, you must add this price to your dept.
- As long as you are in dept, you cannot buy items unless you are buying items to pay of your dept (for example, you can only buy a potion in the store while in dept if it's to pay off your dept.) or enter Pokemon Centers.
- Instant game over if you black out and cannot afford healing
- The price for a Pokemon Center trip is 250 x the number of pokemon in your team.
- Box healing is allowed, but it cost 250 for each pokemon healed this way.
- Bandit must learn Thief ASAP
- If Thief steals an item, it counts as stealing obviously.
- You can never give Bandit an item
- Bandit can also never be the lowest leveled party member
- If he is, you must grind him up until he is the highest leveled pokemon in your team.
- Bandit can also never be boxed
- Bandit can only evolve after it stolen 10 items.
- If you beat Steve while in dept, you lose the challenge.

Take Random the Spoink.

As we all know, Spoinks are pretty random (Like seriously a pig on a spring come on GameFreak), but this one is especially so. Even among the Spoinks and Grumpigs, there is a code of normality. No Spoinks are to be *too* random or *too* boring. In general, Spoinks' randomness levels are rated on a scale of Pip (0) to OINK (100). Random's randomness level, however is (somewhat fittingly) random, so it's somewhere between PING (80) and OINK (100).

[Randomly generate an integer between 80 and 100 inclusive; this is Random's randomness level.]

However, before they are allowed to evolve into Grumpigs, they must show that they are balanced enough to handle their new forms; they must have a randomness of Squeak (45) to Boing (55).

But Random can't help being random! He wants to become an epic rebel!

THE TASKS *GASP* Random's randomness level is gonna go WAY UP! Pick any seven of the following ten tasks:
THE RANDOM TASKS
Use Taunt at the start of every battle after you beat Winona
Use a PP Max on one of Random's moves
Use only physical moves for an entire Gym. Solo this Gym
Win 2 Master Rank Contests
For one Gym, only attack if your SpA is at +6. Solo this Gym
For one Gym, only attack if your Evasion is at +6. Solo this Gym
Use Snore successfully 100 times before you enter Victory Road
Use Psych Up successfully 10 times before you enter Victory Road
Use up all of Splash's PP in a single battle
Paralyse 42 Pokemon with Bounce before you enter Victory Road

Alternatively, if you can get ALL 10 REQUIREMENTS DONE, the Grumpig Squad will recognise your utterly flawlessly random and rad performance and allow you to evolve! Yay!

Fire Blast take St.Nick the Delibird Formerly living at the north pole Nick learned to be happy and caring. In every battle St.Nick is in he must give the opponent a present. Presents aren't cheap so if it heals the opponent thats $2000 down the drain. If he doesn't give a pokemon he fights a present he has to give the next one 5 presents. St.Nick also really respects the Pokemon centers so he get presents for them every time their team is healed (500$ x the pokemon healed you can use the box trick if only one pokemon needs to be healed.) If you black out and don't have the money to heal YOU LOSE!!!!! Have fun :3.

Hey, Blast, why don't you take Speedy the Zubat.

Speedy loves speed and will not take no for an answer. There are 5 rules of Speed.

1). Must have a +Speed nature.
2). Must know two "Flinching" moves ASAP.
3). Must always know 2 stab attacks.
4). Can only become a Golbat after taking 10 SE hits and surviving.
5). To become a Crobat, it must solo an entire gym as a Golbat.

Why these five rules? Ok, I'll explain:
1). To get the best speed, one has to have a speed boosting nature, right?
2). To take advantage of this speed, you have to use moves that require speed to be most effective.
3). In order to maximize your power you have to be able to take a stab at high speeds.
4). You must prove yourself durable in order to help avoid high speed crashes.
5). Only the best of the best can become the fastest of the fast. What better way to do that than soloing a gym?

Good Luck ^_^

@TheMagicalCake
I didn't realize those moves were the only status moves Nincada could learn, and I apologize. How about just Toxic and 2 other non-attacking moves, rather than 3 status moves? Although, I did mean status as in non-attacking when I wrote that challange. I should probably just stick to calling them "non-attacking" moves from now on...

Ok that's cool, also when it becomes a shedinja does it keep all the rule of ninja?

13laze13oy
take Eat-ums the Gulpin.
First off, Eat-Ums must be Male.
He has the habit of eating important items, so any non-hold item that is worth over 300 must be consumed by him ASAP. He also must eat (toss) any hold item that does not help him or a pokemon of the same type in the party. To evolve, he must solo every pokemon with the chance of holding an item in the wild (this restriction is lifted once he evolves). Also solo Glacia.
Feel free to reject if you really don't want it.

^I was hoping I'd get a Gulpin I'm just a little confused on the evolution restriction if you could elaborate.
If it means just Ko all wild pokes that could hold an item then could you lower the amount because otherwise I'd have to basically get to the Elite Four before it could evolve.

BlazeBoy, I have your final Pokemon coming right up.

Take a Solrock and name it Sol. Sol believes it IS the sun, and therefor a fire type. It must always have at least two fire type move at all times (ASAP), and should learn solar beam as well (ASAP) to reflect this. It also thinks that when it goes out, it's going to go out in a supernova! Have it use Explosion on Drake's Salamence during the elite four to allow it to go out in a blaze of glory. After this, it can no longer battle for the rest of your challenge.

The restrictions on this seem quite simple but Solrock actually has pathetic special attack so being forced to use two fire type moves and solarbeam actually cripples it greatly. It should be suitably challenging without being overly frustrating.

EDIT:

Oh yeah.

I'm back bitches.

Sounds like a great challenge however this means that the earliest poke I could get is Minun or Gulpin which would require me to beat at least one or two gyms before I could even get my first scramble mon. I'd rather have a starter or at least a poke obtainable very early on in the game so I don't have to basically start the challenge at the third gym.

I'll change mine instead, 13laze13oy. Give me a minute?

EDIT: Right. Swap my Numel for a Treecko, and name him Poplar.
This Treecko manages to get his hands on your Pokedex, and decides to follow it blindly.
Emerald Pokedex (Treecko) said:
It makes its nest in a giant tree in the forest. It ferociously guards against anything nearing its territory. It is said to be the protector of the forest’s trees.
Poplar sees every foe as a threat to his territory.
In trainer battles, he must Leer at every foe before he can attack, to let them know he means business.

To evolve, he must solo a trainer in Roxanne's gym without STAB moves.

Emerald Pokedex (Grovyle) said:
Leaves grow out of this POKéMON’s body. They help obscure a GROVYLE from the eyes of its enemies while it is in a thickly overgrown forest.
As a Grovyle, Poplar believes himself to be invisible, camouflaged among leaves.
If hit with a contact attack, he must use Quick Attack on his next turn to swiftly disappear into the greenery.

To evolve, he must solo three trainers in Norman's gym.

Emerald Pokedex (Sceptile) said:
In the jungle, its power is without equal. This POKéMON carefully grows trees and plants. It regulates its body temperature by basking in sunlight.
As a Sceptile, Poplar has trouble controlling his grass-type power.
Whenever he is sent out, he must use Grass-type moves on odd-numbered turns and odd-numbered turns only.

He must solo two Pokemon in the Elite Four.

Good luck!

^Thank you EndQuote for changing yours and thank you to everyone who has given me my scramblemon. It should be a very interesting run. My final team is
Spoink
Catch Spoink, nickname Boing! (or some other onomatopoeia if you'd prefer)
Can't use special moves with more than 60 BP
Can't use Rest
Can only stay in battle for 3 turns, barring soloes.
