Challenge The Scramble Challange

Status
Not open for further replies.
Now I have 5 pokemon in my scramble challenge. The only one left is my starter. Whoever does the starter gets to name the trainer too.

Reserved for starter/trainer

OK, fireblast, your trainer is named Trebek.

As your trainer is also struggling with criticism for insane amount of knowledge that any contestant needs to win his trivia show, he must overcompensate by having Water Boy the chimchar as your starter. Water Boy is not very smart and always needs to be the first pokemon in your party when surfing. Besides not being smart, Water Boy is also an Adam Sandler fan. In the movie Water Boy, Adam Sandler does not like to fight, so your chimchar cannot use any fighting-type moves (including status moves).

Enjoy and good luck.

My Scramble Challenge is now ready.
The trainer's name is Trebek (Server_Crash)
The rival's name is Random (Its A Random)

The team is:
1. Bidoof -- to evolve must solo gym and learn 2 HM moves -- After evolving must keep it within the top 3 pokemon as far as levels -- must solo Bertha of the E4 -- must have the ability Simple (Lightsabre)

2. Capers the Gligar -- must know & keep Earthquake, Swords Dance & U-Turn before Giratina -- If evolved must replace Earthquake with Roost & the move of choice may not be Earthquake -- Must solo 5 Pokemon in the Pokemon League (Its A Random)

3. Peek'A'Boo the Chingling -- evolve ASAP -- it has a certain move it must learn another move of the same type -- must solo one gym leader or E4 memeber: +Attack-Flint, +Defense-Bertha, +Special Attack-Lucian, +Special Defense-Volkner,
+Speed-Candice, Neutral-Your choice (pokemagnificent)

4. Gen5Sux4me the Rotom (Sprocket)

5. Skorupi -- cannot fight against Croagunks or Toxicroaks -- can't use Bug STAB--
has to solo 10 Galactic Grunts and 2 Byron Trainers to evolve -- once evolved cannot learn Poison STAB -- once evolved, must solo every Croagunk and Toxicroak it sees--can't be used against Candice (DetroitLolcat)

6. Water Boy the Chimchar -- must always be the first pokemon in party when surfing -- cannot use any fighting-type moves (including status moves) (Server_Crash)

@BlocksRcool: I'm being lazy and quoting an old challenge :P.
Evil X, you get what I was going to give to Random.

You get "Snookums" the Timid Whismar (excuse for spelling)! As a Whismar, it is afraid of everything, especially entering battle with other people. Due to this he/she is unsure of his special skills and is too scared to find out about them! In fact, it's especially afraid of loud sounds; it hurts his/her poor little ears:pirate:. However, one day Snookums evolves, and decides it’s not afraid to enter battle now! As he/she trains to get stronger, Loudrod builds confidence in himself, and when he evolves again, he is able to use his special skills. In fact, it loves them SO much, Exploud won't use anything but them! Sadly though, Snookums' fear of sound turns out to be a life long phobia, as such he/she will forever remain to be scared of them...

Recap:
  • Get a Timid Whismar, NN Snookums
  • As a Whismar: Can’t use STAB, can’t use or be hit by sound based moves (if you do get hit, you must ether switch out or use a healing item), cant enter trainer battles.
  • As a Loudrod: Can’t use or be hit by sound based moves, can’t use STAB.
  • As an Exploud: Can only use STAB moves, Cant use or be hit by sound based moves.
Good Luck!
And with that, it's my (0.)1k post. Thanks guys for being awesome, and I put off a LOT of bad warstory trolling/critisizing to make this post. See ya in 900 posts!

Now it's time for the 100 post Props and Slops!

Props:
  • You guys, for being creative and allowwing me to have a good read.
  • My "Wiggles" Octillary, for pissing Texas off.
  • My five Smogon friends, for being bothered to ask (wink, wink).
  • Lots of stuff I cant remember right now.
Slops:
  • Texas Cloverleaf, for regecting my Octillary the second time (haha jk)
  • Me, because Chocolate_kipp joined a month before me, and she has 1100 more posts. Seriously, look at her, shes pure evil!

  • A1, for not being able to give me a MEP yet.
  • Dummy007 for making my Solo Scamble challenge too easy (more on that soon)
  • Meh, I could go on but I woun't. After all I AM a nice person.
And now, to celebrate I present to you the end and the begining of a scramble!...

..After this short break!

EDIT: Ok, since no one's posted...

Solo Scramble Update 1 (and only)!

The... um... "team":
(Second frame sprites <3)
Feraligatr "Epic Win" Lv. 90something @ That water boosting item
EVs: Who really cares?
Nature: Jolly (HELL YEA!!!)
-Waterfall > Main STAB move. Mostly used overall.
-Ice Fang > Saved me from... other stuff.
-Strength > Meh. Couverage is couverage
-Agility > Hardly used. He was too overleveled for it to be needed.

To make to entire story short: Does ok against Fawkner, sweeps rest of game due to overleveledness. This scramble was a very fast (I finished this ages ago, just didn't get to post it Xp)and interesting one. Too bad "Epic Win" was too broken... My MVP.

The HM slaves: (aka the Hounorable Mention section)
"bluecookie" the Ratata- Lv.3
"Pidge" the Pidgey- Lv.3
"Soihrdulik" the Sentret- Lv.2 (The NN is said as "So i heard you like" if you cant read it)

Ah yes, three very loyal slaves NNed after Smogon users (bluecookies, Pidge, SoiherdulikeSENTRET). Too bad that was about it. Tied LVPs.

And with that, I conclude my Solo SoulSilver Scramble...

...and begin my Platinum Scramble! (I found the game card after six months! Yay!)

  • No Trading
  • Make it Creative, you don't need to make a "creative" scramble just to get creative challenges people!
  • I hold the right to refuse a challenge for what ever damn reason. Thank you for understanding :).
  • Requesting Gible. I've never used him in my intire pokemon career (not even 'chomp!), and I had the erge to use him.
  • I need a starter, flyer and surfer not utirely necessary.
Hit me.

Congrats on 100. Actually the biggest milestone people come across, imo. I'll edit in with a challenge, with Gible.

EDIT: Okay then, your challenge is that Gible is an angry Gible. His rage is such that it needs to be vented at least once per gym, and so he needs to finish a Pokemon in each gym, of which at least 6 must be owned by leaders and 4 must be the main Pokemon of the leader, with Dragon Rage. However, after this he finds that he can cool down by Surfing, which means that he can only do it outside of gyms, unless he has already done his Dragon Rage KO for that gym. Over the course of the game, however, his rage builds, until he finds he needs to solo one Pokemon from each trainer in the Pokemon league with Dragon Rage just to cool down. And so you take him to a move tutor, to teach him to properly vent his Outrage, and he finally gets over his problem by using Outrage against his only equal in Sinnoh: Cynthia's Garchomp. At this point, he has no more restrictions.

Congrats on the 100. I can recall my 100th post on here, I celebrated my first scramble completion.

Even though it will probably be rejected, I'll reserve anyway. :P

Give me a few minutes, & I'll have the challenge for you, which...

EDIT: How cruel of you, your Gible when you caught it, was taken away from his Rocky buddy, Pile the Geodude. The poor thing saw his pal get caught in front of his eyes! Catch him in the same location as Gible, & the distress of the capture has got to him so much, that he cannot be used in battle until Gible evolves...Then see sees his pal evolve & wants to evolve too, & in that time, you may not use anyone else until he evolves into Graveler. From that point onwards, he must appear in every battle that Gible appears in and vice versa, because they're best friends, & in 2v2 battles, if one's on the field, the other must come on the field. Ultimately, Pile must solo 2 of Flint's Pokemon & Cynthia's Spiritomb.

Have fun, even though you'll be likely to...

Thank you to Random for.. you know.. haveing a non CBZ challenge. Also Atheno for ggiving the requested Gible challenge.

2 down, 4 to go.

(God I'm bored right now, hence the unnecessary "thank you" post)

iggdrasil, take a cranidos it can only evolve into rampardos by soloing maylene's lucario, after which it must land the ko on the e4 and cynthia's main pokemon. To get the skull fossil your id number must end with an odd number.

This requirement is stuffed up by Atheno's challenge. Cynthia's Garchomp is supposed to survive a (I'll assume) high powered Outrage? That's probably not going to happen. Fix this in some way or I'll regect the challenge.

Look at me being a mini-mod.

EDIT: I've just noticed that BlockRCool needs a 6th poke with surf for her (?) challenge. Anyone?
EDIT2: Clarifiyed. Thanks to Qwertyuiop.

BlocksRcool, take an Aron. It must learn and keep the move Surf as soon as you get it. It may never know any physical moves, and thus, it cannot have any STAB moves. Its final moveset must be Dragon Claw/Surf/Thunderbolt/Protect. It may never be the lowest level Pokemon of your party. To evolve to Lairon, it must KO at least one Pokemon of Brawly, Wattson and Flannery. To evolve to Lairon, it must solo your rival in every battle after Aron is caught. It must KO at least six of E4 Pokemon (including the champion), two of which must be from Drake's team. Nickname it whatever you want.

And so you take him to a move tutor, to teach him to properly vent his Outrage, and he finally gets over his problem by using Outrage against his only equal in Sinnoh: Cynthia's Garchomp. At this point, he has no more restrictions.
FWIW, the Outrage move tutor in Platinum is in the Survival Area, which you can access after defeating the E4 at least once.

Iggdrasil, you get a Budew. This Budew must be caught before your second rival battle, and must KO your rival's Starly every time you meet him. It must evolve to Roselia whenever, but you must teach it Toxic Spikes as soon as it evolves, and it must set up two layers of TS in every Rival/Gym Leader/Galactic Boss battle after it learns it. You can evolve it to Roserade if it can KO two of Candice's Pokemon OR solo Saturn in the Galactic Headquarters. As a Roserade, it no longer needs to set up TS in every battle, but must keep it, and set it up in the battle against Cynthia, where it must be your lead Pokemon. It must have Toxic Spikes, Petal Dance, Synthesis and any other physical move. Nickname it whatever you want, I'm not good with NNs anyway.

I'm gonna start an emerald scramble.

Rules:

-No trading
-No forced grinding
-I need fly =P
ok heres your surfer
you must take a makuhita from the entrance of dewford cave and escort it at the front of your party to the back room where steven is. You may switch in other pokemon to battle but it must be in the front of ur party and must not die. From here it must retain arm thrust and belly drum ( when it learns it) after beating dewford gym, you realise the makuhhita had a fear of flying types, because of this you must not fight any flying types and it must not evolve until you solo winonas altaria with your makuhita. After this point it may evolve into a hariyama. It must also defeat on of wallaces pokemon. Enjoy!!!

aron cant learn surf. Aggron can, however since it must solo juan to become aggron, there wont be a surf before juan which is impossible.
Sorry for double post.

Sorry for double post.
Soloing Juan was optional, as Aron could have soloed Brendan/May every time, and the last Rival battle in Emerald is at Lilycove. Removed it anyway.

I know, but generally Platinum Scrambles finish by defeating Cynthia the second time, and then by finishing the rest of the storyline. Also, I have never heard FWIW before. Explain?

EDIT: Don't worry Iggdrasil. I go to the city nerd school, so I'm very confident in my 1337/\/355

I second that. I didn't want to sound like an internet noob asking it, but I guess I'm not alone. (No, I'm not calling you a noob Atheno :p)
It's an acronym meaning "For what it's worth".

I think I'm the noob here, because I didn't know how Platinum scrambles ended, lol.

Also, BlockRCool, just forget my challenge, because I just realized that you need Surf after Petalburg, and even if I removed evo restrictions, it requires an insane amount of grinding to make Lairon Lv 42 by Norman. :/

THIRD UPDATE

This one takes me Through Ilex forest to Morty.

Original Post
Updates: 1 2

-Special attacking Cyndaquil cannot be used with a type advantage in boss battles. Only evolvable after being taught flamethrower via TM
-Crobat with four different move types named Xerxen
-Gyarados without Blizzard, Thunder or Fire Blast
-Nidoqueen that can only use moves that would be boosted by Encourage

I got through Ilex forest with my new Oddish as an HM slave for Cut. The Farfetch’d were easier to catch than last time I played. I soloed my way to Goldenrod with Cyndaquil and was about to beat Whitney, but I needed something else first: The TM for Flamethrower, a whopping 10k coins and The TM for substitute, 2k coins. A couple of hours later, I had two Flamethrowers, a Thunderbolt, an Ice Beam, a Substitute, a Dratini and an Abra (I am awesome at the Voltorb flip game). I then went to the Bug Catching Contest, evolving Cyndaquil on the way, but it was too late because the time of day changed as I entered. I then caught my Nidoran for the next challenge. I gave it Boltbeam and started training it (found out the first moonstone is in Tohjo Falls). What was left to do but challenge Whitney at that point? Nidorina (new MVP material) soloed her way to Whitney, and then the battle began

Whitney
Nidorina vs. Clefairy: Thunderbolt does 75% while Clefairy’s metronome uses Lucky Chant(lol). I Bite on the Super Potion use, dealing 33% and then Thunderbolt KO’s
Nidorina vs. Miltank: Stomp and Bite do next to nothing to one another. Stomp and flinch. She then Stomps again and Poison Point takes effect. Apparently, Miltank has a lum berry, so it does nothing. T-bolt gets her in KO range. Ice Beam for the match.

Whitney cries a little but I get my badge and TM for Attract. Luckily, most of my Pokemon are female =, otherwise this battle would have been all the more annoying. By the end of it, 3 out of my 4 Pokemon knew Bite, so Morty was going down. En route, Golbat evolves into Crobat. And I now have a new new MVP! I go to Burned Tower to find Morty and the legendary dogs, but I find my rival instead!

Rival
Gastly vs. Gyarados: Bite OHKO’s
Magnemite vs. Nidorina: Well shit. I can’t use Quilava against this guy, who as of now is my only answer. Luckily, Thunderbolt deals 50%. He Thunderwaves, paralyzing me. Next turn, Supersonic misses but I am fully paralyzed. Another Supersonic misses and Ice Beam KO’s.
Croconaw vs. Crobat: Wing Attack does 50% as Scary Face misses. Win Attack barely misses the KO as Scary face hits. I still go first and KO the Croc with Leech Life.
Zubat vs. Quilava: Flamethrower crits and KO’s.

This makes me want to sing Dynamite, you know? “Now I’ve beat you once, now I’ve beat you twice. I’m Gonna light this up like its Dynamite.” Anyway, the dogs run away. I go to Morty and battle him

Morty
Gastly vs. Quilava: Flamethrower OHKO’s
Gengar vs. Quilava: Sucker Punch does 8%, but Flamethrower does 50%. The next one KO’s
Haunter vs. Quilava: Flamethrower OHKO’s
Haunter vs. Quilava: Flamethrower OHKO’s

And that’s a wrap

-Fuego the Quilava (Female)
Level 27
Moveset:
Ember
Quick Attack
Smokescreen
Flamethrower
This rodent is my MVP. He OHKO’s everything with Flamethrower thanks to insane base power and special attack

-Kraken the Gyarados(Female)
Level 24
Moveset:
Tackle
Splash
Bite
Dragon Rage
Sadly, this guy is my LVP. Her shallow movepool and lack of STAB made him se little use.

-XeRxEn the Crobat(Male)
Level 24
Moveset:
Leech Life
Wing Attack
Confuse Ray
Bite
This guy is a beast in terms of a revenge killer. Ridiculous speed + crazy movepool give him a near MVP status. His lack of raw power though keeps him away from the MVP spot

-Toxin the Nidorina
Level 24
Moveset:
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Poison Sting
Bite
I saw the BoltBeam coverage and I was immediately in love. Unfortunately, subpar special attack hinders what could be an amazing Pokemon. She takes hits like a champ and Poison point helps stall (useful if I ever get that Umbreon)

Reserving Iggdrasil's starter

You get twigster the Turtwig. You MUST roll a dice BEFORE you get twigster to see what is gonna be your challenge.

If you get 1: You can only use 1 attacking move per battle. You can switch out to reset your attacking move. Can't be used against Roark or Volkner. Solo 2 of the following gym leaders/ elite 4/ galactic executive of your choice: Maylene, Gardenia, Byron, Candice, Aaron, Flint, Lucian, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn.

If you get 2: You must solo Gardenia to evolve to Grotle and you must solo two Team Galactic executive (or one executive and the boss) of your choice every time you fight them. If you choose Mars and/or Jupiter, the battle on top of Mt. Coronet doesn't count as a solo.

If you get 3: Can only have 1 STAB move at all times as soon as you get one. If you learn a new STAB move threw level up, roll a dice to see if you replace the old STAB move with the new on (even number) or not (odd number).

If you get 4: Like the Snookums challenge but a little different. Can't be hit or see any grass type move. If Twigster is hit or sees a grass type move, you must switch it out. Can't use STAB moves until it evolves to torterra. As Torterra, roll a dice to see wich STAB your using (Grass STAB is even and Ground STAB is odd). MUST BE TIMID.

If you get 5:Must land the KO of every pokemon Twigster fights with bite as soon as you get it. Every time you fail or faint, you must solo 2 elite 4/ champion pokemon. Can't replace bite with Crunch.

If you get 6: You can only use Twigster and another pokemon in EVERY Team Galactic battle. In double battles against them, you can only use Twigster because your partner's pokemon counts as the other pokemon.

Have fun with which ever poison luck picks for you.

Platinum Challenge II Update! Forest Badge Edition!

http://www.smogon.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3213107&postcount=5559

Challenges:
I restricted the Starter to one of Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Mudkip or Torchic because I was tired of Sinnoh starters. I also had a requirement that one Pokemon only be available after the Elite Four, as my challenge goes until post National-Dex Cynthia.

OK, you get Joe the torchic. The reason it's called Joe is Blaziken, in the 4th gen anyway, is just considered average compared to Infernape. This torchic, however, has a burning desire to see that changed. It wants to prove that it can be better than Infernape, so it must solo any and all pokemon that are weak to fire or fighting, and it must have one of both of these moves at all times. On top of that, it must solo any chimchar/evo that it sees. (start with a turtwig, so your rival will have chimchar) It must solo your rival's chimchar every time. To evolve it must prove to itself that it can beat chimchar, by defeating your rival's chimchar. Then to evolve to Blaziken it must prove itself against something that is usualy called a hard-counter to itself(i.e. a bulky water type at full evo.), as well as beating your rival's chimchar/evo. 3 more times. Re-nickname it "Master." Now that it has evolved, it steels itself for its final challenge, so it must learn and keep Bulk Up as well. The final challenge will be to solo your rival completely on the final match up before the E4, and solo the Fire Type E4.
HotDave, I'm giving you a bad ass, and useful, HM slave. It is the most bad ass of all HM slaves you will ever encounter!

It must learn only HM moves when it's possible to teach it HMs (pre-evolved it can learn Surf, Strength, Rock Smash, and Waterfall. After evolution it can learn Rock Climb). It must also be the highest level Pokemon in your party at all times. (edited to be a bit more fair)
*edit* Saw you had a nickname requirement. Nickname it Aspirin, because it's going to need a lot of it.
You get Will the Drifloon.
He must be male. To show off his vast masculinity, Will can only use physical moves (status moves are fine too). Once the Fly HM is obtained and once he has evolved into Drifblim, he must be taught the move. Once you get Blackglasses from Celestic Town, he must be equipped with them.
@HotDave: Take a Meditite named Broken. Your Meditite has mad skills when it comes to fighting, but it is mad that Medicham is NU. Your rival, named Eo, is one of the greatest OU battlers ever; for this, Broken hates him. Broken must KO three of his Pokemon every time you fight him after you get Broken (I don't know how many times this is). Broken must learn at least one HM move to show its superiority (it rocks with bad moves), and it must learn one STAB move of each type. It sympathizes with its NU brethren and may not even attack any Pokemon in the Elite Four that is in NU as of the most recent Gen IV tier list. However, it must KO every Pokemon in the Elite Four that is in the OU tier. It must also solo Cynthia's Garchomp.
@Hotdave: You get Boxer the (male) Duskull. This Duskull has seen Fighter so many times and has watched WWE for so many years that he HAS to be a fighter. It has to punch everything into the ground. Teach it Shadow Punch and any other elemental punch of your choice. Its nature determines it's next move

+Atk- Earthquake
+Def- Will-o-wisp
+SpAtk- Night Shade
+SpDef- Substitute
+Spd- Shadow Sneak
Neutral- Confuse Ray

To evolve into a Dusclops, it must solo Maylene. It has to evolve into Dusknoir after defeating Iron Island but before beating Byron.
You get Dancer the Cacturne. It must know the on-site Evasive Subseed moveset (You will need a Heart Scale for Leech Seed). Have it solo Bertha (2nd Round).
Notable things that happened:
I beat the crap out of some guys who were trying to take this other guy's sweet, sweet honey. My Pokemon also defeated their Pokemon. I got my ass to Mars, and Aspirin beat Zubat with no problems, then Joe beat Purugly. I got a time machine and set it for 2 days in the future, and wouldn't you know it, a Drifloon showed up. After catching Will, I went back to the past. After grinding to get Aspirin up to Joe's level, just so Joe can solo Gardenia, Joe did so with little problem.

Things I learned about this team:
Joe must solo everything weak to Fire and Fighting. Aspirin must always be the highest level. These two challenges still do not mix well. Every single wild Pokemon in the Eterna Forest not named Gastly is weak to either Fire or Fighting. At no point was Will able to gain a single experience point.

The current team:
Joe the Level 26 Combusken
Lax (+Def, -SpD)
Blaze
-Double Kick
-Growl
-Peck
-Ember

Aspirin the Level 25 Psyduck
Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
Damp
-Water Pulse
-Scratch
-Confusion
-Rock Smash

Will the Level 15 Drifloon
Lonely (+Atk, -Def)
Unburden
-Minimize
-Astonish
-Cut
-Focus Energy

Hmmm... I think I will have fun with this :p. Accepted.
iggdrasil, take a cranidos it can only evolve into rampardos by soloing maylene's lucario, after which it must land the ko on the e4 and cynthia's main pokemon. To get the skull fossil your id number must end with an odd number.
Thanks to being clarified, Accepted. Currently planing how to beat Lucario without grinding...
It must have Toxic Spikes, Petal Dance, Synthesis and any other physical move. Nickname it whatever you want, I'm not good with NNs anyway.
Accepted. You kinna did give me a nickname, or the insparation for one. He/she'll be called "WHUT?!" (whatever u want)

Accepted. EDIT: Rolled a 1.
@Iggdrasil Your team seems to be a little ice weak, so I want to help. You get Frosty the Froslass. She does not have the best vision, so give her a Wide Lens. Unfortunately, her vision is so bad that she thinks they are Choice Specs. As such, she can only use attacking moves that would be boosted by Choice Specs. She must use every move at least twice in a row or switch out. She is also a Haxor, so she needs Snow Cloak and Hail. She can evolve from a Snorunt once you beat Candice
Accepted. Thanks for noting the ice weakness :).

Done!

It's an acronym meaning "For what it's worth".

Also, BlockRCool, just forget my challenge, because I just realized that you need Surf after Petalburg, and even if I removed evo restrictions, it requires an insane amount of grinding to make Lairon Lv 42 by Norman. :/
Oh okay,

UPDATE: HM02 the Torchic is beasting his way through everyone to get to Rustboro. Off to catch that danged timid whismur now.

^a little... About a minute ago I realised Candice is gonna rape me. Thanks though, thats 6 (unless I decide to drop a poke).

EDIT: Using an online Dice simulater (couldn't find a real one) I rolled a 1 for my Turtwig challenge. I'm all set to go now, wish me luck!
