It's been a long time coming, but I think it's about time to get this started. This project aims to collect all information about ways to obtain Pokémon in mainseries compatible games other than standard wild 'mons. We'll be cross referencing every available source, checking anything that can still be checked, and generally trying to assemble the bits and pieces of the puzzle into one organized database, which will be freely available and used to correct Smogon's learnsets, simulator learnsets, move legality, and most likely add the biggest thing veekun's missing to their brilliant collection of information.

The first step will be finding as many sources as possible. I've been on the lookout for them forever, but there will be many I am unaware of so please help. Then we'll be scraping and organizing each source into a consistent form for easy comparison (well.. first create a sensible syntax for them), comparing them all and trying to work out what is correct, then finally putting together a massive list of everything.

So. This is quite a gargantuan project. But, in my opinion, definitely worth doing. I'm going to need some help if this is going to be finished within the foreseeable future, if there are people here up for helping out I'll start creating some sync.in pages with instructions for each. Probably the ones which require the least direction will be the ingame special encounters, and given that I'll be away from the 21st-28th of this month, that's probably a reasonable place to start.

Here's our general sync.in pad: http://sync.in/72bKpEc2Tu
I'll be keeping that, not this post, up to date. Go there.

Gen 1/2
There were many Mew and Celebi Events around the World.

Gen 3
Be aware that pkmdb Colosseum pkm to download are edited.
First, it's impossible to have both starters untouched with same OT/ID and anyway the experience those have when you start the game is wrong.
Most accurate on 3rd Gen Events are Secure/GoldUrsaring Faq

Gen 4/5
Most accurate are Secure/ProjectPokemon/GoldUrsaring Faq
