Welcome, welcome to both old friends and newcomers alike! It's time for another exciting battle in the official ASB arena. Man, it sure never gets boring around here!

Let's look at our two combatants. In one corner, we have the famed Bastiodon trainer, Leethoof, and his Solrock, Ra!

    Gen. Empoleon (open)

    Solrock [Ra] (genderless)
    Nature: Quiet (+Special Attack, -Speed)
    Type:
Rock: Rock STAB; Reduce damage from all special attacks by two (2) Base Attack Power during Sandstorm. Able to use Sand Tomb without losing focus.
Psychic: Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

    Abilities:
Levitate: (Trait) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a flying type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit. Levitate Pokemon will retain the Levitate trait when they use Skill Swap on an enemy, and will steal the opponent's ability (the user can specify if they want a foe or ally to gain Levitate from a Skill Swap.) If a Pokemon with Levitate uses Role Play, they will copy the opponent's abilities and retain Levitate.

In the other, we have C$FP, the.... C$FP. There's absolutely nothing special about him or his Steelix, Boulder!
Except they probably couldn't beat a Frozen Vault raid to save their life.
    Steelicks (open)

    Steelix [Boulder] (Male)
Nature: Adamant (+ to Attack, - from Special Attack)
    Type: Ground/Steel
Ground: Ground STAB; Immune to all electrical attacks, can Dig through almost any substance, Evasive Digging reduced from 3 per action Energy Cost to 2 per action, superior senses in darkened cave surroundings.
Steel: Steel STAB; Immune to Sandstorm, highly insusceptible to toxic attacks, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, can be magnetized. Superior senses in high-metal environments like construction sites or factories.

    Abilities:
    Ability 1: Rock Head
    Type: Innate
This Pokemon’s hard body prevents it from taking recoil damage from moves such as Double-Edge, Flare Blitz, and Head Smash.

    Ability 2: Sturdy
    Type: Innate
This Pokemon’s body is solidly constructed, reducing the Base Attack Power from an opponents incoming attacks by one (1). The effect is amplified on OHKO Moves, which are reduced by ten (10) Base Attack Power.

    Ability 3: Sheer Force (DW)
    Type: Can be Enabled
This Pokemon can energize all its attacks with secondary effect chances less than 100%. When Enabled, the Base Attack Power of every move with an effect chance less than 100% increases by two (2), but they will never have a secondary effect.

With our two contestants at full health, I see no reason why I should announce their conditions, so let's get to the battle!

Ra, the Solwreck-I mean Solrock goes first with Will-O-Wisp. The flames fly at Boulder and manage to burn the giant Steelix; that could really affect his performance in the rest of the battle!
Boulder moves next and goes for a Heavy Slam onto Ra, which really seems to hurt, despite the burn!

Ra goes first again, this time with a Fire Spin! The effect is... underwhelming to say the least. But it seems the Steelix is trapped for now!
Boulder retorts by Smacking Down Ra, disabling his Levitation and doing negligible damage.

Ra finally decides to do some real damage to Boulder and goes for a Psywave, bypassing the Steelix's Sturdy frame!
Boulder is annoyed by this trinket's attempts at attacking and gives him a crashing Earthquake for his insolence. Ra and the surrounding tri-county area look pretty shaken up by that attack! He even manged to dissipate his fiery prison!

Let's look at the status of our two contenders!

    Steelix [Boulder] (Male)
    Hp: 75
    Energy: 79
    Status: Burn
    Other: -

    Solrock [Ra] (genderless)
    Hp: 61
    Energy: 84
    Status: -
    Other: -

    Calcs (open)

    Will-O-Wisp= 7 energy
    Heavy Slam= 17.25 dmg; 10 energy
    Burn-2 Dmg

    Fire Spin= 4.5 (5) dmg; 4 energy
    Smack Down= 5.25 dmg; 4 energy
    Burn- 2 dmg
    Fire Spin- 2 dmg

    Psywave= 10 dmg; 5 energy
    Earthquake= 17.25 dmg; 7 energy
    Burn- 2 dmg
    Fire Spin- 2 dmg

Well, it seems these two are relatively even at the moment, but anything can happen next round!

    C$FP, you order first!

And, we're back in time for the action, folks! The (relatively) speedy Ra moves first, yet again and this time he decides to brighten up the arena! He creates a Sunny Day by shooting a bright sphere of energy into the sky!
Boulder seems confused at his opponent's passive strategy and goes for another Heavy Slam, trying to knock some sense into his foe.

Boulder moves fi- Wait a second, what? The ass-slow snake is moving first? Ra must have some sort trick in mind... Ahem, Boulder seems to be causing another huge Earthquake, to which Ra (and again the tri-county area) doesn't seem to like.
Ra finally moves!... To less than impressing results. He simultaneously compresses his body and smooths its edges. It's a combo of Rock Polish and Harden that has increased his speed and defense!
He tries to reflect the sun from his newly shined form, but he's just not naturally reflective!

Ra decides to just sit on the ground and relax after his combination, much to the delight of Boulder. He goes in for another crushing Heavy Slam. The audience is quite thankful for his choice as another Earthquake would threaten the structural integrity of the stands even further...

    Let's observe our combatants conditions!

    Burn- 2 dmg

    Eathquake- 17.25 dmg; 7 energy
    Harden+Rock Polish- 14 energy
    Burn- 2 dmg

    Heavy Slam- 15.5 (16) dmg; 10 energy
    Burn- 2 dmg

Ooh, it doesn't look good for Ra, now. How will Leethoof respond to this turn of events?

    Leethoof, you're up!

P.S. I asked around on IRC. No one thought the combo would have your intended effect. So I just disregarded it.
