To Glacier, the Stratons were pretty much his only "family" in the world; his biological parents had been valiant environmentalists that had sacrificed their lives in the name of preserving the world's nature. He met Lee on the trails deep within the Fromag mountains, and hitting it off immediately, the young trainers became good pals quickly.

Both trainers lived busy lives; While Lee was tied closer to the family establishment to keep up the business, Glacier was constantly travelling, spanning the entire globe twice or thrice every few months. But they would constantly chat whenever Glacier found an interesting new biome or place to battle, or whenever Lee had a comical story to tell about his interactions with the ASB Guild. And Glacier had to return back to civilization every now and then too; as adaptive hecould be, he was no super tarzan. The Straton's would always offer their home and company, and having really nowhere else to go, the orphan trainer would gladly accept the invitation. Glacier could keep up hearty conversations about the wild with Don, helped Louise cook the family meals every night he stayed with the family, and constantly played with the young twins- they loved racing on the back of Truffles, Glacier's trusty Mamoswine.

So when Glacier didn't answer his pokegear like he did every thursday, Lee got worried.
When he hadn't heard from Glacier two weeks after that, the whole family was on high alert.

That was about two years ago.

Glacier never faded from their memory though
Lee kept Glacier's number under his favorites, the twins couldn't be in close proximity to a swinub or piloswine without tearing up.

Fallen leaves and rain water collected into puddles get swept into the gale, cloaking the family in a flurry of nature's wrath. As the voice climaxes, Lee strains his eyes to see a small, crimson red and tyrian purple swirl of a vortex, open near the center of the temple.

Thrawn methodically walks along one of the ruined walls, searching for a particular Unown. He finds an Unown-R, snatches it in his claws and hands it to Cheyenne.
"Just start singing while holding this one. You might surprise yourself. Now, I have other matters to attend to. Trust the girls, its something you'll have to learn to do someway or another."

[I am partial to say that Nature Power would turn into Ancient Power, because of the mysterious unown temple ruins we are residing. But I can accept Rock Slide/Power Gem]
[Secret Power, if we ever get to that, would probably have a 30% chance to confuse? Mysterious unown psychic powers are running amok, I dig it]

"Perfectly positive. I've only been this way myself once, but Glacier guided me and made sure I had the route memorized in case I needed to traverse it by myself."

"Don't make me laugh Tristan; YOU of all people are going to question the legality of what we're about to do? Besides, right past the sign is... the fork, see? The right waterways are prohibited because they get really treacherous and they don't want anyone getting lost and stuck way down there in the torrents. But, we're going left, which honestly should be open for the public. Lots of different cave systems, but as long as you're smart you can't really get lost."

"Hmmph, whatever. Just don't get us los-"

Suddenly, a dim blue light began to emit from Cheyenne's satchel. Almost instantly, she snapped at Tristan to be dead silent and whipped through her belonging to pull out the source; a small cobalt trinket. Through the combination of Infernape's dim flames and the trinket's own glow, Tristan could make out the shape of some sort of ocean creature, fused to a thin chain of cobalt necklace.


"...He's never activated it by himself..."

The glow of the trinket expanded suddenly, causing the two trainers to be momentarily blinded; once their eyes adjusted, a small Krilowatt appeared before them, looking quite panicked.


"It's usinFg us. It's usinIg us anGd you neHed to come quiTck quick."


"Reginald what are you talking about? do you know where Gla-"

Reginald finished with a small remark as his whole body was coated in an ominous crimson aura. Then as quick as he appeared, he was sucked back out of reality with a red flash of light. This time though, when Cheyenne and Tristan's eyes refocused, they discovered the small trinket to be nothing more than a reddish powder in the latter's hand.


"Oh shit. Okay new plan, we have to drop our lead and follow this one NOW."

Cheyenne quickly released Bidziil, and with a quick "Téléporter à fonder à la hâte!" the Gallade curtly transported the party through the fabrics of psychic prowess and back to a small but lavishly decorated tree house in Cherrygrove City.

"Restock our essentials NOW Tristan, I've got to figure out where in the world Reginald and Glacier ar-"

"I know what Reginald was talking about."

Cheyenne quickly turned back towards her partner, whose held was hung low and fists clenched.


"The 'Scary Vine's House'. When we were nine, Glacier's parents took us to the base camp of an archaeological dig deep in the southern jungles of Arriba, for a 'vacation'. We got bored of playing around in the camp, so after a few days we snuck away from camp and found... this temple. Not the one the researchers had found, but this small damp rocky piece of shit covered in thick growth. It wasn't until we walked in and the entrances were sealed up with vines did we realize it was home to a clan of Carnivine and Victreebel. Thank god he brought Truffles, hah. That swine was just a nub back then... but Glacier was smart. Got Truffles to coat the decrepit ceiling thick enough with ice to make the whole thing crash right on top of the Clan leaders. That's where I found Champ too, he was just a little sprout."

"...YOU can restock our essentials. Let me call someone and get us a quick ride."

Blood had been shed from both sides. As the Straton family cheered and strategized, the remoraid began to glow crimson once more and convulse.

The possessed fish jerked its head towards its opponents, and then towards the walls of the temple, the unown hiding in the crevices and dark spots.

The Remoraid was sent into a bout of seizures as the voice rumbled and roared through the temple. A Crimson aura appeared once more
But this time it engulfed one of the Unowns.
The poor little glyph gave a small squeak of disapproval, but was no match for the powers of the superior unknown. It was quickly flung towards the Remoraid, and froze right in front of its water orb.

And then, with a sharp cry, it began to shake and seize as well.
Until with a loud *POP* it crumbled into dust; the crimson aura grew brighter and reentered the Remoraid.
