Terra points the ancient sword at the mysterious shape!

As if on cue, you hear a gruff -

"Oowehdehh!"

- from up ahead. "Looks like it's just a Nosepass," Cassida reports. "He doesn't seem too happy about us tromping around, but I suspect if we leave him alone, he'll do the same...wait, I think there's something attached to his upper left. Can you point me th-yeah, thanks. It looks like he's carrying some broken hilt."

A broken hilt, huh? What would a Nosepass be doing with something like that?

"Hmm, that sword hilt might be the key we're looking for, but I don't want to fight it if we can avoid it. Hmm..."

Terra thought for a moment, how to get that item off of the Nosepass? Could try Knocking it Off, but then it would just attack them and possibly bring allies with it. We could Trick it but then Colossoil doesn't have it...but Revenankh might. A lightbulb went off in her head.

"I've got it, Sir, does that Revenankh have Trick? If so, you might want to have it hand you the Focus Sash there, then use Trick to get that sword hilt from the Nosepass. Then we'll just leave it alone and it probably won't attack us!"

"Didn't a certain AOPSUser use to smash people's Fighting mons with Lucy's Dunsparce?"

"Excellent, now to head on up and finish this leg of the job."

Maxim put Malus into his Pokeball and went on his way. Unfortunately for him, the Gyarados still had one trick up it's sleeve.

"GYARRRRR!"

After roaring, the Gyarados, quick as lightning, slammed Maxim into the river with an Aqua Tail using the last of his strength. Maxim gave a horrified yelp before plunging into the water and being swept away by the current.

Naturally, this commotion caught the attention of the adventurers.

Cave Area 4: Southwest Lake Cavern

Despite the sounds earlier, you see nothing of note among the rushing rapids. Continuing along the riverbank, you reach a cavern where it runs off into a vast lake. It doesn't look too deep at a glance, but it's probably deep enough to house life, as you suddenly hear the unmistakable ehhboogh of a Magikarp.

You notice a figure laying down at the edge of the lake. It looks humanoid...wait...is that Maxim?
