    Well the trainers are both not messing around in thie battle of the bugs, I only hope my wit and insight in this flavour can be as deep as their movepools. Given they each only brought enough Pokemon for the battle, I'm gonna go ahead and send them out now to get this moving along. Tortferngatr send out his brave Burmy named Feck Knight (would have to be very brave with a name like that) and FLADoS the quirky Combee. Deck Knight welcomes a Burmy of his own in the quiet Inferlterra and finally he sends out a very naughty Nincada named Goldeneye and gosh darn it if he doesn't ruin the whole thing by bringing decent stats and a useful movepool! Anyway, let's get down to it..

    Alright troops, time to move out. (Also Nincada has 10 Spe in your roundup for some reason when it should have 40)

    Inferterra, begin with a String Shot to lower the speed of your foes. Then use a Bug Bite on Feck Knight, and Tackle FLADoS.

    Goldeneye, start the match by summoning a powerful Sandstorm, then use Hidden Power on FLADos, and end with a Silver Wind on Feck Knight.

    Bah! What is a Nincada? A miserable little pile of secrets!

    Feck Knight, spread a focused String Shot onto Nincada's eyes-ALL OF THEM, including the CompoundEyes-so he can no longer aim his hidden power! After that...KEEP SPREADING THE STRING OVER HIS EYES! He must NEVER be able to aim properly...or at least see where FLADoS is headed! Finally, Tackle Inferlterra!

    Command: Use String Shot to spread silk over Nincada's eyes and blind him-Repeat of the prior command-Tackle (Inferlterra)
    FLADoS, utilize your command of the winds to spread a TAILWIND! That ought to help counteract that String Shot! Next, I want you to hide behind a tree, so there's no chance the blinded Nincada will be able to hit you! Thirdly, I want you to come back out to unleash an Air Cutter to blast away your foes!

    Ok so one or two notes on my interpretations. As far as I'm concerned string to eyes = sand attack, rather than complete blinding. Also it's no fun if hiding behind a tree works automatically, so I gave it a 50/50 chance. Turns out the tree took the hit regardless.

    It's time to kick off this battle of the bugs, and our first round is unfortunately quite uninteresting as no one seems to want to do any damage! FLADoS and her erroneously punctuated name begin by summoning a Tailwind to help her and her teammate gain a measure of speed. Feck Knight is then able to use this to beat an otherwise speed tie with Inferlterra to fire a String Shot right into Goldeneye's golden eyes! The drop in accuracy doesn't exactly impact on the Nincada's ability to fire up a massive Sandstorm though. Inferlterra then fires off a String Shot of her own, but this is more of the traditional type and it undoes a little of the boosts provided by the Tailwind.

    Just when I though the action might pick up come action two, FLADoS just goes ahead and hides behind a tree. How boring. Feck Knight also seems to have no interest in dealing actual damage, as she just continues to shoot string into Goldeneye's face. The trainee Pokemon (really?) decides to change it up a little, summoning his Hidden Powers and firing a rocky blast at FLADoS.. which hits the tree! I guess boring strategies are sometimes effective ones. Inferlterra also decides to do something useful, with a Bug Bite on the opposition Burmy.

    Thankfully everyone decides to show some spirit to close out the round. FLADoS uses its tiny wings to cut Inferlterra and Goldeneye with a blast of air that does super effective damage to both opponents. Feck Knight also wants to hurt someone, albeit with just a simple Tackle on Inferlterra. Goldeneye conjures up a strange Sliver Wind to aim at Feck Knight, and thankfully he has so many Compoundeyes that they all but cancel out the accuracy drop. Inferlterra rounds out this portion of the battle with a Tackle of her own on FLADoS. All the while Goldeneye's Sandstorm has been doing steady damage on everyone but him.

    Inferlterra, be a dear and String Shot FLADos' Wings. Try and Drag it and append it to a tree, so it can't get any leverage. Next, Bug Bite the String Shot off of Nincada's eyes and pull the pile onto Feck Knight. Finish with a Protect on that Gust.

    Goldeneye, don't sweat any of this nonsense. Begin with Hone Claws to sharpen your senses, then use a Fury Swipes to slash Feck Knight and any String its trying to pour on you. Between your Bug Typing and Accuracy boost, that should be good for 4 solid hits. With the menace disposed of, use Hidden Power Rock on FLADoS while it's distracted.

    The battle of the bugs hots up now with the combatants sure to be out to prove that they're not useless, no matter what anyone says. FLADoS keeps on showing her skills as the most dominant member of the battle force, by flapping her wings into a Gust at Goldeneye. Feck Knight also dishes out the damage, with a Bug Bite on Goldeneye too. The Nincada doesn't respond immediately, instead honing his claws to set up for the future. The move undoes the previous accuracy drop from the string in his eyes, and also boosts his attack. Finally Inferlterra has string tricks of her own to show off, shooting hers at the opposition Combee's wings, making it harder for her to use them in attacks.

    FLADoS is far too confident (or perhaps cocky) to let this stop her, being a future queen and all, and just does what she can with her wings to create an Air Cutter that hits both opponents. Feck Knight then returns to her previous tactic, throwing more string into Goldeneye's eyes. He responds with Fury Swipes, but the string causes one of his swipes to miss. Finally Inferlterra has a tricky tactic of her own, using the proximity between herseld, Feck Knight and her team mate to Bug Bite the string off Gold's head and onto Feck, turning her own tactic against her.

    Finally FLADoS conjures up another Gust, but Inferlterra manages to block the hit with a quick Protect. Feck Knight then manages to Bug Bite Goldeneye again despite the partial blinding. And finally Goldeneye uses his Hidden Power to throw rocky energy at FLADoS, which does some very good damage. Meanwhile his sandstorm is still hurting everyone else.

    Goldeneye, lock your sights on FLADoS. Use Hidden Power Rock on FLADoS again, then strike it with Hidden Power Rock once more. Finish the round with Fury Swipes on FLADoS.

    Inferterra, start by Tackling Feck Knight off of Goldeneye. Then String Shot FLADoS into the trajectory of Goldeneye's Hidden Power Rock. End the round with a Tackle on FLADoS.

    FLADoS, set yourself down and hide behind Inferlterra! If GoldenEye wants to hit you, he'll have to hit his partner too! After that, refresh Tailwind, blowing off the string on your wings in the process, then finish by using another Air Cutter!

    Feck Knight, String Shot Inferlterra to force him in place so we can still use him for our living shield! Then I want you to use Bug Bite, attacking him the same way we did Goldeneye! FACEHUG HIM, STOP THAT STRING SHOT FROM EVER GETTING ON FLADoS! Finally, I want you to Tackle Goldeneye again."

    The next stage of the battle of the bugs begins with no team having a distinct advantage. In fact FLADoS begins the round by simply flying over and hiding behind Inferlterra! Feck Knight reinforces this cowardly tactic by shooting string to pin Inferlterra in place as a shield for the little bee! Goldeneye is a little wary about firing off an attack but he follows his trainers instructions none the less. Unfortunately his worries were well founded because his Hidden Power clocks Inferlterra right in the face! She is at least able to respond by using the power of her Tackle attack to break away from the string, but clearly not until after Tortferngatr's tactic has done its job.

    FLADoS seems a little worried about the string still weighing her down, so she uses all her might (and a little extra) to kick up a fresh Tailwind which both removes the string and replenishes the speed advantage for her team. Feck then uses the wind to propell herself forward and right onto Inferlterra's face with a Bug Bite! This leaves Goldeneye free to aim his Hidden Power at the intended target, and FLADoS does not enjoy the hit. Inferlterra finally tries to aim a String Shot at the bee, but with Feck still hanging off her face it can only hit the opposition Burmy in the face. The move wasn't all bad though, because it served to both get Feck off and also ensure her accuracy would remain low.

    FLADoS now takes advantage of her freed wings, kicking up another Air Cutter that hits both opponents super effectively. Feck Knight continues to dish out the damage, with a Tackle aimed straight at Goldeneye. He quickly shakes off the comparitively weak attack and uses up his Honed Claws just before they runs out to hit FLADoS with Fury Swipes.     It also seems that this round has acted to split the pack somewhat, with Deck Knight's team looking a lot slimmer on total HP, and one more round could be enough to knock him out of this battle for pride.

    Might as well get this over with.

    Inferlterra, rush over to Goldeneye's side and cover both of you with Protect. Put all your effort into getting that Protect up around both of you. Next, since Feck Knight will be in proximity, String Shot to lock it in place in front of Goldeneye. Sandstorm should finish FLADoS off by the end of that action. End with a Bug Bite on Feck Knight.

    Goldeneye, use Hidden Power Rock to strike FLADoS after Inferterra's Protect drops. Then Grab Feck Knight and use it as a shield. Turnabout is fair play, after all. Finish by hitting Feck Knight with Hidden Power Rock.

    Inferlterra: Protect (cover both yourself and Goldeneye, move quickly, stretch your Protect if you have to!) ~ String Shot (hold Feck Knight in place while Goldeneye grabs it) ~ Bug Bite (Feck Knight)

    I've been told previously that Protect can be used on a team mate, but it loses its priority when doing so. So thanks to Inferlterra being the slowest on the field the move failed.

    FLADoS the little Combee is starting to go in for the kill. She uses her very large speed advantage, and the Tailwind to fire off a Gust attack that does just enough to knock out Goldeneye. This result leaves the other combatants rather useless for the rest of the action, with Feck having no one to Tackle and Inferlterra with nothing to Protect against.

    FLADoS once again takes charge in action number two, with an Air Cutter aimed at Inferlterra that also finishes her off. The little bee really took the initiative here and won the match for her team!
