Only 1 fully evolved Pokemon may be used at the start of the round. You may evolve one to its final stage during the battle.

Reconstructed Ko-Koro (ignore the fact the one hut covers the guideline and the massive creative liberties taken to the Bionicle location. I don't have any of the Bionicle games set in Mata Nui, and BionicleSector01 was not very helpful in terms of pictures. The site I would normally go to in order to ask about this is transferring to more efficient forum software and isn't available right now. Credit to the Lego group for the original location.)

A gigantic hollow enclave of ice, used as a village by an unknown tribe of small icy mechanoids. The arena is massive; the ordinary huts alone are 8-10 feet in diameter, and the arena overall is about 150 feet in diameter and about 120 feet in height. The triangular pillars are about 40 feet from their tips to the wall, are about 60 feet high, and extend on the wall for an arc of 40 feet. Pokemon that can climb using sharp hooks (or Rock Climb) can climb up the pillars, but they are otherwise too slippery to climb. The stairs leading to the pinnacle are 60 feet high and 110 feet long, reinforced with wood and metal chips; they were used for guards climbing to scout for dangerous monsters and have 60/4/5 defenses. The bridges are ten feet wide, about 15 feet from the wall, 4 feet high, and are reinforced with wood and metal chips; they have 45 HP and 3/4 defenses. The bridges and stairs alike are designed to provide more traction than usual. The lookout platform is 10 feet in diameter and coated in freeze-resistant, traction-granting resin. Falling from the pinnacle out of the arena is considered to be a Ring Out (treated as a KO.) Spiral staircases, about 8 feet in radius (not drawn to scale!) located within two of the spires allow players to climb to higher up the arena-if they can fit in it, of course. Fall damage from any significant height can be calculated as the ref desires.

A key is shown here: http://www.majhost.com/gallery/ToaNeya/kits/CAP-9/OtherMons/CAP-ASB/arenakey.png

The cold environment and natural snow reserves make it easy for Hail to be whipped up. Snow Warning and Hail cost 2 less energy to execute. Ice-type attacks in general cost less to execute here thanks to both extreme cold and resident elemental energy, requiring 1 less energy than usual. On the contrary, the lack of natural gravel makes Sandstorms that much harder to summon, making Sandstorm and Sand Stream cost 2 extra energy. The trees can be used as plant matter for attacks. Stones are set beneath the deep snow; Rock Slide can be used from the bottom of the arena. Rain/Drizzle cost 1 extra energy to prevent the cold from freezing it over, and the Sun is so far in the sky that it only boosts Fire attacks by 1 point. (Solarbeam still doesn't require a charge-up in sunlight, although its base damage is reduced to 9 in sunlight.) Fire attacks require a little more power to summon; outside of Sunny Day conditions Fire attacks require 1 more energy than usual.

The huts might contain items; including rocks for attacking with (70%) and disks (50% chance, the probability is independent), which can be thrown as a Normal-typed ranged physical attack that deals 6 base damage and has 90% accuracy. The 20 foot radius giant hut, once used for their leader, contains a large stockpile of such disks.

Finally...yes, the snow can be used as a water source. It costs 2 more energy for types other than Fire (by heating up the ice) and Ice (by virtue of control), but it can be used as a water source nonetheless.

ok, and if I remember correctly, two attacks each turn for each pokemon? Also, lets make it 1 abillity per poke, items=disabled, and switch=ko...not that we'd be switching ._.

My poke abillities; Rocky=Sturdy, Orita-chan=Overgrow, Poli-chan=Water Absorb

ok, This whole place is built for them, we should also watch out to see if we cant find any of the Great Discs here, before the Vahki get them!

Orita-chan, I want you to boost our defenses, summon up a Reflecting wall of light to block physical damage, then behind the wall, construct a Substitute of 20% health to end your defensive fortress.

Poli-chan, this is your first ever battle and I have high hopes for you. I dont want hail to be set up, so I need you to wait, and if Frostbite sets Snow Warning into effect, set up a good Rain Dance to counter the snow that will begin to fall. If he doesnt set it up the first turn, use raindance anyways. Then I want you to go on a strong offensive and use Waterfall on Flare to keep it on it's toes.

Rocky, your a battling veteran, even if I've made many battling mistakes that get you into trouble. I want you to really get down with your bad self and Heavilly Slam your body onto Frostbite repeatedly. This will weaken it down to a more manageable hp level.

Orita-chan
Reflect->Substitute

Poli-chan
Wait to see Frostbite's first action, then Rain Dance->Waterfall

Rocky
Heavy Slam->Heavy Slam

"Y'know, the Vahki and Great Discs only came out in 2004. This is based on 2001.

Of course...I think it's time for a little surprise!

Alright, now that that's overwith, I'm going with Soundproof as your ability this match, Frostbite, Solid Rock as yours Flare, and Ice Body as yours, Flotsam.

Frostbite-let's punish their hesitation by using Hidden Power to slam Steelix, then Giga Draining Poliwag! (funnily enough, you're just heavy enough to take a 6 base damage Heavy Slam.)
Flotsam-start by using Hail to counteract that rain, then give a rounding Encore to the Chikorita! Let's punish it for using such energy-intensive moves as Substitute. Also, the legendary codebook known as Veekun considers Substitutes unable to block Encore.
Flare-send a roiling Earth Power beneath Steelix, then use a Heat Wave to melt them all!"

The round begins with Flare evolving! In this grim battlefield, this evolution makes for a nice twist. Frosbite begins with a Hidden Power targeting Steelix! Poli-chan follows up with a Rain Dance, aiming to take control of the weather. Orita-chan uses Reflect to up her team's defenses. Flare then sends an Earth Power through the ground, and strikes Rocky! Rocky goes for a Heavy Slam targeting Frostbite! Finally, Flotsam regains control of the weather by throwing out the Hail.

Poli-chan goes first this time, and with a Waterfall mounts an offense against Flare. Frosbite responds by targeting it with a Giga Drain! Orita-chan serenely sets up a Substitute(20), continuing to play a passive role in the fight. Flare, a bit sore, responds with a Heat Wave, targeting the entire array of his opponents, and breaking Orita-CHan's Substitute! Rocky goes for another Heavy Slam on Frosbite, and Flotsam ends by Encoring Orita-chan - she will have to use Substitute for the next 2 actions.

Hail will last for 5 more rounds. Reflect will last for 4 more actions.

While Solid Rock might have failed to factor in (and I'm pretty sure we used more energy than reffed)...oh well. Amazing round.

Frostbite-use Giga Drain to keep wearing down Poliwag, then release a Blizzard!

Flare-Flame Burst and Earth Power at Steelix!

Flotsam-keep an eye out for any attempts at Rain Dance and use Hail accordingly! If Poliwag doesn't do that, use Blizzard!

Abomasnow: Giga Drain (Poliwag), Blizzard
Camerupt: Flame Burst (Steelix,) Earth Power (Steelix)
Spheal: Blizzard-Blizzard (Hail if Poliwag uses Rain Dance.)

The round begins off with a quick Toxic targeting Flare from Poli-chan! Frostbite responds with a Giga Drain as revenge! Orita-chan, stuck with her actions, sets up a Substitute(20), and Flare takes the chance to use a Flame Burst! Since the Pokemon are scattered around, to Doran Dragon's bad luck, Tortferngatr's Pokemon are not hit! Rocky goes for a Thunder Fang on Flotsam! This is countered by Flotsam's Blizzard, which also breaks Orita-chan's Substitute!

To follow up, Poli-chan goes for a Waterfall on Flare - that must have sucked for that walking volcano! Fortunately the referee remembers to account for Solid Rock Frostbite counters by unleashing another Blizzard! Rocky faints! The other 2 are really feeling the frost here.....

Orita-chan, still proud of an earlier Encore uses Substitute(20), which is followed by an Earth Power from Flare - but it has no target! Finally, Flotsam ends the round with a Blizzard - and it's a critical hit on Orita-chan's Substitute, which fades! Both Pokemon are left teetering on the edge of consciousness here, and while Poli-chan can barely hold out against the buffeting hail, Orita-chan finally gives way and faints!

...flotsam's rewards/the KO counters? (also, even though it matters jack, the Thunder Fang damage?)

Decent match-make sure you keep an eye on the opponent's movepool. Light Screen would have given you a much higher chance of survival, since Earthquake is coming off Flare's weaker attacking stat, your team's better resists, and on Steelix's stronger defending stat.
