The ASB Tournament Arena

Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokemon fans, the ASB Arena can be best described as a standard Pokemon battling arena. In the center of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Pokeball center). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about fifteen feet wide and creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is eighty feet wide, one hundred feet long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it's an outdoor arena with a large water source and packed dirt. Pokemon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying Pokemon, who cannot leave the arena and cannot fly higher than sixty feet). This prevents Pokemon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are no outside interruptions by fans, Pokemon, or other elements not associated with the current battle

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen! And welcome to our brave battlers, AlphaJolt and Glacier Knight! We're only at the first stages of this tournament, but the climate is already incredibly heated! So... let's go!

Fernando opens... his mouth, yawning loudly! Geez, I feel somehow drowsy... although not as much as Argos, who already is starting to struggle standing on his paws! He probably didn't appreciate the hit, and makes a rude gesture (well, as much as a dog, or sort of, can do) at his opponent, sending the little monkey on a confused rage!

The Pansear is so angered that he ends up wounding himself in the confusion, while Fernando sprays a noxious cloud all over the ape, poisoning it! Fernando attempts to retaliate, but his rage-driven charge ends up with him tripping over and hurting himself again! Argos exploits the mistake and bites into the foe ferociously! Thankfully for the fiery monkey, his enemy finally falls into slumberland, so he can back off a little to lick his wounds...

Seeing himself in dire difficulties, Fernando loses any previous care he held and goes on an all-out offense. Argos repels the initial assault with a blast of fire, but the Pansear is still not defeated!

Speaking of the Growlithe, he barks loudly as another beam of sun shines over him, mending his wounds with its energy. Still, Fernando keeps ravaging the opponent relentlessly.

As the Pansear attacks yet again, Argos, tired of this melee, knocks him back with an explosion of flames which, combined with the noxious effects of the poison he injected before, overcomes Fernando's endurance and causes him to faint.

My face turned pale as my fiery companion fainted at the paws of his enemy. "return Fernando, you did your best." i called, summoning back my pokemon. i took a dragged out breath, releasing my last pokemon in the process. "Truffles, the odds are against us but let's make four people proud!" sweat started to form on my brow as i gave my dear swinub orders, praying this would work.

Truffles, this is going to sound crazy, but the best move to do right now is Mud-Slap! do that twice, and hopefully luck will finally be with us. Finish the round with a Mud-Bomb!

haha good job! yeah some unnatural force was out to get me o.0 haha but still i had fun :) can't wait for the next tournament though! haha this was only my second battle (ever), so maybe next time when i have a little more experience under my belt :)
 
GG Glacier Knight, you did well for someone with only prevos and a single battle of experience under your belt. You have potential, and I'm fairly certain that when the next tournament rolls around, you'll be a serious contender.
 
Thanks Spenstar, i appreciate it :) although now that it's over and i can look back, i really should have sent truffles out first. that way he could take out whichever one Alpha sent out because he has moves super effective against both. if he and Argos were out first i'm pretty sure they would either ko each other or something, and then Fernando could have damaged his Scyther pretty good. ah well, trial and error :D
