    The ASB Tournament Arena

    Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokemon fans, the ASB Arena can be best described as a standard Pokemon battling arena. In the center of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Pokeball center). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about fifteen feet wide and creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is eighty feet wide, one hundred feet long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it's an outdoor arena with a large water source and packed dirt. Pokemon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying Pokemon, who cannot leave the arena and cannot fly higher than sixty feet). This prevents Pokemon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are no outside interruptions by fans, Pokemon, or other elements not associated with the current battle.

    "Well, this is a buzzkill..."

    I agree this is a bit of a rut. Fortunately Chew Toshio, I do have a plan.

    Start off with Agility for a quick burst of speed to evade any attack Spiffy might have. It'll also put you on top of the speed war. I want you to fly around in a wide arc and head toward Cyclohm's backside, we have some "pollen" to get.

    Once you maneuver behind Cylcohm, carefully attach yourself to its backside and gather some of its Shield Dust. You're a bee, think of it like getting some pollen from a big yellow and err, dark blue, flower. Once you've got your stingers protected, inject a Poison Jab straight into its body from your stinger to Poison it directly. Shield Dust doesn't regenerate that quickly and gathering it up should make Cyclohm vulnerable, in addition to warding off some of its internal static.

    If Cyclohm uses Trick Room on the first action, move your other actions up and make your third action Endeavor. Cyclohm is a cloud-dragon, it likes to err, pour it on.

    Agility (Evasive maneuver and circle around to Cylchlom's back) ~ Gather and Apply Shield Dust ~ Poison Jab (direct injection).

    If Cylcohm uses Trick Room as its first action, move all attacks up and use Endeavor as your third action.

    Right, not much you can do against these RPlike commands, they sovle everything(n/o, that's what ASB is intended for) <_<

    Activate Sheer Force first, as part of schedule. Now use Surf to hit the entire arena, stopping Beedrill's dodge attempt. Follow up with a 180 degress turn and Flamethrower Beedrill. Close with a Thunderbolt.

    BEGIN ROUND ONE

    Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the second round of the FIRST ASB SINGLES TOURNAMENT! I'm your host for what should be an incredible match between two of the finest ASB battlers in the league! Let's meet our competitors. Creative, inspiring! A man who isn't afraid to take chances for a win! Give it up for Deck Knight! Deck Knight is joined by his trusty sidekick Chew Toshio the Beedrill! Bold, decisive! This mouth has more bite than bark! Put your hands together for Destiny Warrior! His friend Spiffy the Cyclohm has accompanied him today. Chew Toshio seems raring to go, confident in his skills. Spiffy seems kind of nervous, hesitant to start the fight himself. Let the battle begin!

    Spiffy starts out the round by using the water surrounding itself to create a massive Surf attack! Chew Toshio tries to use its Agility to dodge the attack, but the waves encompass the entire arena, making it impossible to dodge the attack! Chew Toshio is flung into the side of the arena by the tidal wave, knocking into the wall and back into the arena.

    Spiffy quickly takes this time to fire a hot Flamethrower at its target. The stream of fire lights up Beedrill, and hits for major damage! Chew Toshio quickly hovers its way to Spiffy, and manages to latch on to its belly, right under its three heads. It quickly rolls around in the cloud-like substance and attracts Shield Dust particles onto itself! It will have the dust's traits for six (6) actions! The lost particles on Spiffy regenerate, leaving Chew Toshio attached to the fluffy clouds.

    Spiffy doesn't take kindly to intruders on its own body. It gathers electricity from within itself and strikes with a mighty Thunderbolt! The bolts of lightning hit Chew Toshio, but since Chew Toshio is attached to Spiffy, the attack also hit Spiffy! What a shocking way to start off the first round, folks! Chew Toshio, feeling a bit fried, uses its pointy drills to Poison Jab its opponent for revenge. The needles go deep within the dragon, but its cloudy, Shield Dust exterior simply absorbs the poison that was released from the attack. You can tell Spiffy sure didn't like the pain it received from the blow, though, as it appears to have stricken a CRITICAL HIT!

    Alright Chew Toshio, time to get busy. Start by using String Shit to bind Cyclohm's three heads together. You'll have to take a hit in the meantime, but its no big deal. It should also lower its Speed as it tries to aim and untangle itself.

    After that, strike it behind its heads with Endeavor. With its necks bound it won't have the proper range of motion, and you'll be able to get a clean hit. Finish with Swords Dance.

    Welcome back to this match! I'm afraid to say that the current referee is currently in the restroom, regurgitating the remains of his meager meal. I'll be reffing for now!

    Spiffy looks around the arena, attempting to locate the infuriating bee. Spotting Chew Toshio pretty quickly, Spiffy turns all three heads towards him and spews a jet of red-hot fire from each mouth. It seems that Chew Toshio takes a rather large amount of damage from the Flamethrower, but he's got plenty of fighting spirit left. Hearing his trainer's orders, Chew Toshio doesn't even hesitate, spurting some sticky String Shot string at Spiffy, lowering his speed by one stage! But what's that? It seems that Chew Toshio is flying around and around Spiffy while shooting the string! Would you look at that! Spiffy's head is entirely bound with string! Moves requiring the use of heads will fail!

    Now behind the completely bewildered Cyclohm, Chew Toshio Endeavors to smack Spiffy with the power of... pain. Yeah, that's kind of lame, but it deals quite a bit of damage. Spiffy roars in pain and wheels around, attempting to shoot another Flamethrower, but his heads get all tied up and he is unable to aim it properly! It seems that Chew Toshio lives to survive another day!

    Getting pumped up at this success, Chew Toshio performs a spinning dance in the air and gets himself excited by watching whirling swords. Yeah, that's an aggressive bee for you. However, Spiffy quickly changes tactics, releasing a crackling bolt of electricity from his body. With some luck, it manages to land a hit on Chew Toshio, dealing significant damage!

    Welp, we had a good run Chew Toshio, so lets keep the pressure up. Finish up with Endeavor, and if by some miracle you're still around the second and third actions, go in for a direct attack with Poison Jab.

    If Cyclohm uses Thunderbolt the first action and you'll successfully be able to create a Lightning Rod to ground it with String Shot, use that to lower Cyclohm's speed a little more, otherwise stick to the plan.

    Endeavor ~ Poison Jab ~ Poison Jab

    If a String Shot Lightning Rod would work to redirect Thunderbolt, use that as the first action to lower Cyclohm's speed further and then use Endeavor followed by Poison Jab.

    BEGIN ROUND THREE

    Yep, still regurgitating. Takes quite a long to time to rid the acid from your mouth. Back to the match!

    Though he knows his end is coming, Chew Toshio knows the part he has played and the part he is to play. Circling back once more, he pounds Spiffy with the power of hardships and pain, dealing a significant amount of damage. However, Spiffy is ordered to forget about Chew Toshio and just relax in the arena, healing off a large portion of the damage dealt. It seems that Chew Toshio isn't willing to give up yet, though.

    Relentlessly attacking, Chew Toshio drills his stinger into Spiffy's fluffy exterior, inflicting more pain on the giant behemoth. As he pulls the stinger out, a bit of the toxin drips onto Spiffy, but his wondrous dusty coating somehow makes the poison disappear. It doesn't seem like Spiffy is feeling any pain at all as it relaxes its muscles yet again, healing more health! It's a good thing that there's a limit to recoveries, otherwise we might've been sitting here watching Spiffy relax all day long!

    Chew Toshio jams his second stinger into Spiffy, dealing a good chunk of damage yet again. Finally retaliating, Spiffy rears his head back and roars loudly, shooting a jet of fire straight at Chew Toshio... or not. Heads still bound together, Spiffy can't determine which side is left or right, resulting in a burnt section of the bleachers! There's no insurance :o

    It seems that Chew Toshio has survived another round, though his end is looming...

    BEGIN ROUND FOUR

    This is the fourth round! Everyone knows that four is equated to death in China, so we'll be seeing some death today!

    Spiffy prepares to launch a crackling Thunderbolt at Chew Toshio, quite eager for blood, but he suddenly stops the attack and opts to relax in the arena yet again, restoring energy instead of health this time. Who knew there were different types of relaxation -_- It seems that Spiffy has predicted Chew Toshio's move, which is to fly around the arena like a demented bee searching for honey (wait...), conveniently avoiding a hypothetical attack. Of course, this wasn't on purpose; the postal worker dressed in a honey suit with honey slathered over him isn't a ruse to get Chew Toshio to dodge attacks.

    Invigorated with speed, Chew Toshio is able to outpace Spiffy once more, opting to jam not one, but two poisoned stingers through Spiffy's fluffy exterior and into his flesh, dealing a good chunk of damage.     BEGIN ROUND FIVE

    As Chew Toshio is called back into the Pokeball, Deck Knight selects his second Pokeball, throwing it out into the arena. Of course, how it magically returns to him is a mystery. Will Powers comes out in a flash of red light, swirling around in the dirt like the iron snake he is. Each metal section rotating, Will Powers arches up and glares down intimidatingly at Spiffy. It seems that he wants... vengeance.

    However, Spiffy isn't going down without a fight. Spiffy quickly collects the water stored in his cloud-body, spurting out a massive torrent of water that engulfs Will Powers and deals significant damage. Will Powers is unperturbed, retaliating by summoning a massive earthquake that deals quite a bit of damage to Spiffy in addition to throwing half the audience into the arena.

    While those audience members scramble back to their seats, hoping for a slightly less physical experience, Spiffy seems to charge up even more water in his body. But what's that? It seems like he's continuing to charge up water for a massive blow! Unfortunately for Spiffy, Will Powers is able to get another hit off before he finishes charging. The second earthquake ripples through the arena and smashes into Spiffy, finally knocking out the cloud.

    Alright Will Powers, we'll start this off right. Begin by summuning a Sandstorm by surrounding the front of your body with a sand column and see if you use it to absorb Will-O-Wisp's flames. Missy might be too fast for you to use the sand column defensively, but try anyway. Either way it will balance out residual damage. Next use Smack Down to remove Misdreavus' Levitation, then Taunt it. It will be a lot less mobile afterward, and you'll remove many of its nasty tricks.

    BEGIN ROUND SIX

    As Will Powers roars menacingly at the several cameras snapping away at him, Spiffy is quickly recalled into a Pokeball with a flash of red light. Seconds later, another Pokeball is tossed out, and another terror is revealed: Ms. Ardy the Mismagius. Breezing by the sides of the arena, she seems to have some sinister powers in her; let's get on with the show, shall we?

    Ms. Ardy starts the sixth round off, creating strange blue-white flames that oscillate in the air, flickering. They quickly make their way towards Will Powers, who frantically tries to conjure up a wall of sand to block them. Being about four times slower than Ms. Ardy, this fails quite miserably, though he does manage to get a sandstorm going in the arena. The audience members quickly mob the small box of headscarves to protect themselves and their young from the sand, but who cares about that?

    Taking minor damage from the raging sandstorm, Ms. Ardy releases some of her innate power in a fabulous ring, pulsating out from her small body. The ring smashes into Will Powers for significant damage. Shaking the hit off, Will Powers picks up a small rock in the arena with his tail and hurls it at Ms. Ardy, energizing it in the process. It hits for some small damage, but it also seems to be dragging Ms. Ardy down. What's that? It seems like Ms. Ardy is unable to Levitate!

    Scooting herself around the arena, heavily discomforted by the swirling sand and loss of levitation, Ms. Ardy shoots more rings of energy out from her body, dealing more damage to Will Powers. Will Powers seems to take the hit in stride, though, waving his tail around like a hooligan, taunting Ms. Ardy into a blind rage!

    Will Powers seems to be steadily weakening under Ms. Ardy's repeated assaults as well as the cruel burn. Can he turn things around before it becomes too late?

    Well, the first thing we're going to do Will Powers is Activate Sheer Force We won't be using it this round but it will be nice if our plan works out. Now its time to get the lead out. Begin by moving into the water and generating an Earthquake. I sumise that the moat also constitutes part of the arena and is its size primarily to avoid damaging the crowd, but is still well within bounds.

    Hopefully the Water will help soothe your burn. More importantly the quake will generate a wave that will wash Mismagius away from you to the other side of the arena, and without its ability to float, it won't have an effective movement response. The wave should carry it far enough away that it can't aim Hidden Power (or any of its other attacks) very well.

    After that we can try something unique. Burn is usually an external injury, so what I want you to do is hide under the water on the other side of the arena and use Harden to renew your skin. Hopefully between the soothing water and your own energy you can not only use the water for cover, you can heal off that burn.

    End the round by Earthquaking Mismagius from your side of the field. it's always fun when the very earth is your opponent's enemy, and you can still use the bank to hide behind to avoid Mismagius' attacks.

    Move to the water and Earthquake to sweep Mismagius away with a wave ~ Harden underwater to renew your skin ~ Hide in the embankment and use Earthquake to damage from a distance.

    Two can play at that game Deck!

    OK Ms.Ardy, we're like nearly 4 times as fast as that iron snake, you should be able to pull through this!

    Start by approaching where Steelix is going(if Steelix going to water != an action, this isn't either). You should beat it there! Then, as it Earthquakes, Hex Steelix so as to torture it. The torture should stop the wave from throwing you away, and even if it does, get back to him! While it Hardens, fire off a Hidden Power at it through the water(shouldnt be affected because it is special, and fighting and water are neutral to each other), and as it attempts to hide in the embankment, Hidden Power it again(should beat it to attacking since I'm so fast)!

    (if my calcs are right, Deck's Steelix should take 8 + 2 + 14 + 2 + 14 + 2 = 42 damage, leaving it with 5 HP, if burn gets healed on action 2, then it should have 9 HP :D)

    BEGIN ROUND SEVEN

    Both Ms. Ardy and Will Powers make their way towards the moat on the side of the arena as fast as they can; unfortunately, due to their loss of locomotion and general slowness, respectively, it takes them quite a long time to get there. It doesn't help that the arena is ridiculously big. Ah, well, at least we've got a splash zone where Will Powers is now! I'm warning you, keep those cameras away!

    Snickering evilly, Ms. Ardy casts a hex at Will Powers, who takes some minor damage from the attack and continues to soothe himself in the water. I don't know why a Ground-type would enjoy staying in the water, but maybe we'll see later! Hmm? Will Powers gets up and swings his tail around in the moat, creating a large splash of water that drenches a small section of the bleachers and washes Ms. Ardy halfway across the arena! That looks like it hurt!

    Getting to as high altitude as she possibly can (read: 3 feet), Ms. Ardy releases more white rings of pure, glowing energy from her body and makes them smash into Will Powers with as much dignity as she can possibly muster. Will Powers takes the hit and renews his skin with an iron Harden, which also has the great effect of raising his defense! Let's see what these trainers will order next!

    BEGIN ROUND EIGHT

    Feeling confident in her abilities, Ms. Ardy slowly approaches Will Powers, not wanting to make any mistakes. Will Powers quickly takes advantage of this, stretching his serpentine body out and quickly crunching on the small ghost with darkness-infused fangs. Ms. Ardy takes quite a bit of damage from the attack and is left especially weak after the relentless sandstorm.

    Choosing to attack, Ms. Ardy releases more glowing white rings of energy that smash into Will Powers, dealing the same amount of damage it's done every other time. At low health now, Will Powers pulls out a last resort, flailing wildly around the arena. At the climax of his desperation, he snakes towards Ms. Ardy and crunches her body again with those dark fangs, doing an absolutely ridiculous amount of damage. Low at health and energy, it seems that Will Powers has managed to defeat Ms. Ardy! Congratulations!
