The Royal Guard said:

*<Growlithe> [Korlyam] (Male)
Nature: Naughty
Type:
Fire: Fire STAB; immune to burn, emit a low glow in dark places, takes additional damage if active open flames are exposed to a water attack. Superior senses in volcanic or brushfire areas.

Abilities:
Intimidate: (Can be Activated) When this Pokemon initially goes out into the battlefield, it generates an intimidating roar or war cry that shakes all opponents on the battlefield, reducing their Attack stage by one (1). The attack drop is maintained at the end of each round. If an opponent switches in a new Pokemon, Intimidate can be activated again as an Action, and will affect all opponents.
Flash Fire: (Innate) This Pokemon thrives in high temperatures, and takes the energy of any opposing fire attack, nullifies the damage, and uses the additional power to boost its own fire attack’s Base Attack Power by two (2). Self-targeted attacks do not give the boost.
Justified (DW): (Innate) This Pokemon's body reacts to dark energy, invigorating its passions. When hit by a Dark-type move, the Pokemon's attack will increase one (1) stage. A boost gained this way by another Pokemon's attack will be maintained at the end of each round. Self-targeted attacks do not maintain boosts.

If a Pokemon has a type immunity to Electric attacks, Lightning Rod will not activate.
(DW) Minus - (Dormant) - (Innate) This Pokemon possesses a negative electrical charge, when a Pokemon with Plus is on the field, this Pokemon’s special attacks increase their Base Attack Power by two (2). If this Pokemon also has Plus, the boost does not stack.

Born and bred to help protect against monumental adversaries, Valentine has had little in the way of development as it is normally considered. Having spent her formative period training to fight, she often has little in the way of opinions on a given matter.
[a]Dratini[/a]

Dratini ♂ - Oros

Type: Dragon
Dragon Type - Dragon STAB; More in touch with legendary or special auras in arenas. Able to use Hyper Beam and Giga Impact without losing focus.

Eldest of a clutch, Oros has the headstrong nature of a brother who makes all of the mistakes of early folly, so that the rest of the brood might learn from such. The school of hard knocks claims Oros as one of their highest alumni, and he is ready to barrel headfirst into whatever his next challenge has in store for him.
[a]Nidoran♀[/a]

Nidoran♀ - Helen

Rivalry - (Innate) This Pokemon has a primal response to competition and mating, increasing the Base Attack Power of all its attacks by two (2) when it attacks an opponent of the same gender in the same Egg Group, and decreasing the power of all its attacks by two (2) when it faces an opponent of the opposite gender in the same Egg Group (Monster/Ground are used for Nidorina/Nidoqueen).
(DW) Hustle - (Dormant) - (Can be Enabled) This Pokemon puts immense force and speed in its physical attacks, increasing the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by three (3), but the haste used lowers their accuracy to 80% of normal.

Physical Moves - Bite, Counter, Double Kick, Fury Swipes, Poison Sting, Pursuit, Scratch
Special Moves - Venoshock
Status Moves - Endure, Growl, Helping Hand, Protect, Tail Whip, Toxic

Helen can be described as considerate or kind for the most part, although the sincerity simply isn't there. She sits in idle thought until called upon or otherwise addressed, and then responds almost autonomously and with little emotion.
You all know how this goes. Hop to it.

Dratini (M)

This battle, between The Royal Guard and Lou, certainly heated up quickly. TRG's Growlithe faced a poor matchup against Lou's Dratini, and luck was not on its side. Close Combat left it vulnerable to further assaults, while a lucky strike with Thunderbolt dramatically slowed it down. Furthermore, Growlithe's other two strikes did piddling damage while Dratini's Dragon Pulses tore away at the hound's hide. Can the puppy hope to prevail? Tune in next round to find out!
