This is sure to be an interesting and unique battle, and I am excited to ref it! Few words about myself before we start, I will certainly try to update whenever I get the time and I'm usually pretty good at getting out updates fast. However, I may be a little slow on updates later in the week, if the match lasts that long, but I should be able to keep up. I applaud creativity, so try out new things and I'll be happy to reward you for them (just make sure it make logical sense).
Without Further to do, let's get started shall we?

Two battlers find themselves in a strange place, to their right they surrounded by the beautiful outdoors, while an eerie abandoned room haunts them to their left. This could only be the work of one space-bending pokemon, but it seems like the legendary beast is long gone leaving the distortion that lies before the young trainers. However, there isn't much think about this strange occurrence. The trainer's eyes have met, and according to the rules of pokemon, no matter where they are, or whether they want to or not, they must battle.

    Battle Order:
    Spenstar sends out his pokemon
el Dino sends out his pokemon and orders
    Spenstar orders

Remember, only first staged pokemon in the baby room. Other than that, not much else to say, so let's get this battle started!

Ok, so Death the Gengar will be taking on Starmie, while Destiny the Scyther will be able to destroy Scraggy in the toy room.

Death will start off by using Hypnosis until it hits, and the he will follow up by using Shadow Ball and then Thunderbolt on the Starmie.

Destiny will begin firstly by using Swords Dance. He will then follow up with a Technician boosted Wing Attack, and finally, he will attack with U-turn while moving to the other corner of the toy room.

    Lets do this guys!

Okay Ruby, listen up, I know how to counter that hypnosis. Go underwater and divert yourself from Gengar's focus.Hypnosis will fail. He'll keep using it until it hits, but you'll be underwater and unable to see Gengar. You're faster, so in between the first two hypnosis attacks, use Psychic to deal some damage to Gengar, but then immediately drop the focus lest you get hypnotized. Do the same for the third action: Psychic and then focus on something besides Gengar.

Go underwater and don't focus on gengar-Psychic and then immediate focus on something besides gengarx2

Brick, begin with Rock Slide! Then use Counter as he wing attacks you. Then just Rock Slide again! If Wing Attack misses or fails for whatever reason (flinchhax lol) use Payback instead

Rock Slide-Counter(sub Payback if Wing Attack doesn't hit)-Rock Slide

The first pokemon are released, initiating the battle! In the waterfall field, Rube the Starmie emerges from its pokeball, immediately making itself home in the water! It is soon joined by Death the gengar, who wears an evil grin as he thinks of ways to dispatch his new foe!

In the baby room, Brick the Scraggy is the first to be released! Being a dark type, he immediately finds himself at home in in the darkness. He immediately starts opening up drawers and checking shelves for toys to play with, but is sorely disappointed when all he finds is rocks. Destiny the Scyther soon joins the little fighter in the room. He tries to stretch out his blades in the room, but finds himself a little cramped. Looks like his speed and flight advantage might not help out here! Not to mention, the darkness is really making it hard to see, reducing his accuracy by one stage.

Because this is pretty much two simultaneous battles, I will reffing each round separately.

    Waterfall Field:

Ruby starts things off by delving into the water, hopping to dodge the incoming hypnosis! Death tries to lull his opponent into sleep, but finds that the hypnotic waves can simply not penetrate through the water's surface! As a result, the waves merely dissipate as they enter the new medium. Ruby takes advantage of this fires off a powerful Psychic! The super effective attack hammers Death, ripping off a chunk of health! Ruby, remembering its master's orders, tries to look away, but finds that the psychic attack required far too much concentration to pull off! Death takes full advantage of this and responds with another Hypnosis, this time directly hitting the starmie and putting it into a Deep Sleep! Now incapacitated, Ruby can do nothing but slumber on, allowing for Death to charge up a Shadow Ball! The attack hits directly on the jewel on Ruby's face, forcing it to plop right into the water! Death smiles smugly, waiting for the opportunity to bring on more pain!

    Baby Room:
Meanwhile, in the creepy room, the praymantis and a lizard-thing prepare to duke it out until one is left standing. Destiny starts things off with a majestic Swords Dance! The move is so captivating and yet so deadly, substantially sharpening the bug's blades while also increasing his attack! Brick scoffs at the dance, claiming his grandma could do better, and responds by chucking a mighty Rock Slide at his opponent by using the rubble he found in the drawers! The rocks pile up on Destiny, hitting his double weakness for some nice damage. Not one to take criticism well, Destiny flies towards his his opponent and hits with a technician-boosted Wing Attack! The attack nearly sends his opponent flying back, but Brick is strongly determined to win and holds his ground. Destiny gives a smug smile at the scraggy, believing that this fight will be over quick;that is until Brick responds with a grin of his own. A dreaded feeling comes over Destiny, this was Brick's plan all along! With a burst of energy, Brick releases a powerful Counter attack, blowing the scyther into the crib, consequentially reducing the child's bed into a pile of broken wood! Destiny gets up in a fit of rage and charges forward with a U-Turn! The attack hits Brick square in the chest, sending him flying backwards into a wall! Destiny finds himself up against a wall on the other side of the room. Cornered and unable to escape, Destiny has no choice but to brace himself for another one of brick's rockslide! The rocks pile up once more on the bug, leaving him pretty injured as he finds his attack boost beginning to slowly fade away.

Things are going by very very quick! Destiny is almost down for the count, how much longer can it hold up? Meanwhile, it looks like Death has a slight advantage over Ruby thanks to the sleep, let's see how much longer this holds up!

Alright Brick! You're awesome, man x) I want you to use Rock Slide until it hits, then spend the next 1 or 2 rounds Bulking Up if the ref'll let you.

Rock Slide until KO-Bulk Up-Bulk Up

Ruby, you're asleep for an action, but that's okay. When you wake up, Recover, but keep underwater and keep the focus off Gengar so he can't use another one of his tricks on you! After that I want you to use Psychic again, but if you sense a hypnosis coming on that third action, use Surf instead. It'll be easier to focus on the surf itself and not on Gengar, to avoid Hypnosis completely.

Snooze-Recover underwater-Psychic (sub with surf in case of third action hypnosis)

    Right, lets end this thing.

Death, use Taunt to stop him from using Recover. Then Hypnosis as he wakes up, and then finish off with another Shadow Ball.

Destiny, we're almost done here. Use Wing Attack 3 times.

    Waterfall Field:
As round two starts, Ruby still finds itself taking a nice long snooze, giving Death just the opportunity he needs to strike! The mischievous ghost starts to Taunt Ruby by saying obscene things about its mother, how obscene! Ruby hears these words through her dreams and is angered, so angered in fact that it gets up in a fit of rage! Ruby immediately delves into the lake once more, still and attempts to recover off the damage, but gengar's still linger in its head! The starmie is so angry that it forgets how to use recover and only seeks to tear the ghost to shreds! Poor Ruby, if only you realized that you're species is genderless, and thus probably reproduces asexually, meaning you don't have a mother. Well, that's debatable, but right now we're not interested in pokemon reproduction, we got a battle to finish! Death starts rolling in the air in laughter, and tries to make Ruby's life even more miserable! Once again, Death sends hypnotic waves in order to put Ruby to sleep, but looks like he didn't learn from his mistakes! Ruby is still underwater, and thus the hypnosis dissipates in the water once again! Ruby emerges from the water looking steamed and unleashes a mighty Psychic at Death, wiping the smile off of his face! Death, now wearing a more serious frown, retaliates with a Shadow Ball! The attack hit each of their respective targets at the same time, sending the two pokemon flying back into the water! When they both re-emerge from the lake, they find that they are more determined than ever to win this battle! However, Ruby notices part of her jewel is cracked; the shadow ball must have done this, lowering its special defense!

    Baby Room:
Back in the nearly-destroyed child's bedroom, Destiny and Brick are still going at it. Despite his low health, Destiny still charges forward with a Wing Attack! However, because of his shoddy accuracy in this room, the attack completely goes off target and misses, sending him flying into the nearby shelves! Brick concentrates his power, and attacks with a full blown Rockslide! Destiny is simply unable to dodge in time, and the rocks crush Destiny's final ounce of energy, KOing the poor bug...

Seeking to take advantage of this situation, and prepares to bulk up his body for his next opponent, but before he has a chance to do so, time seems to suddenly stop around him! Out in the sky is Dialga, the pokemon of time! Looks like he came here in order to challenge Palkia again, but instead stumbled upon a pokemon battle! It appears he's been here since the beginning, but no one has noticed him since they were so dedicated to the battle, how strange indeed. Dialga doesn't want anyone gaining a fair advantage in this fight, as he has found it thoroughly entertaining. Thus, he will keep Brick frozen in time until Death and Ruby's fight is completed!

Now that was an eventful round! We had our first KO of the battle while Ruby and Death seem neck and neck, though Death may have gained a slight advantage this round! Plus, the appearance of the legendary beast Dialga! Looks like our trainers have even more pressure on them now, because if Dialga is not pleased with the battle, he might just decide to destroy them all!

    [IMG]ENTERTAIN ME MORTALS!!!!!

Ref note: I checked with Flora, taunt does indeed work when a pokemon is asleep, as strange as that is. Also this dialga is just for flavor, it wont be effecting anything the during the course of the battle

    elDino, you're up!

Go Ruby! Start with Psychic and target the shadow ball coming your way. I want you to reflect it right back at Gengar, or failing that, just use it to block the damn thing. Now use Psychic again to throw Gengar into the water. This will make him wet and his thunderbolt will backfire on him! Finally, use surf! Since he's in the waterfall, you'll get more bang for your buck and surf will do more damage.

    Psychic(reflect/deflect Shadow Ball)-Psychic(throw Gengar into water)-Surf

As for Brick, I want you to see if there's a phone in the room. If so, call a freaking psychiatrist. I'm concerned about Ruby's mental health after a match like this.

PS: Brick, if you can, tell Dialga I want to meet him ^_^

EDIT: If Brick does end up facing Gengar, in addition to the stat rank boost he'll get as a prevo, Brick will also get a +1 attack boost due to Moxie. JTLYK

A brief recap: Destiny the scyther is currently chilling in that big bug's nest in the sky, Brick is in an awkward state of limbo after being frozen in time, Death and Ruby are still trying to rip each other to shreds, all while Dialga munches on popcorn and takes a sip of soda as he enjoys this free entertainment. Anyway, back to the battle!

    Waterfall Field:

Death starts things off by charging off another shadow ball, trying to finish this fast and quickly! However, Ruby just waits till the menacing ghost fires his glob of shadowy matter and responds with a psychic, catching the attack in mid flight! The ball of energy cannot take this much stress and merely bursts, dissolving into the air! Ruby quickly gets out of the water and responds with another Psychic! Using all its might, the starmie chucks Death into the lake below, drenching him from head to toe! The angered gengar responds summoning a wicked ThunderBolt, striking the star directly! However, because of the water, Death suffers some minor recoil from the damage! Ruby is quick to act and attacks with a powerful Surf! At this point, Death has managed to float above the water's surface, but is still hammered by the gigantic tidal wave! Death, also quick to respond, returns the favor with another Shadow ball! The hit penetrates Ruby's defenses, resulting in a Critical Hit! Oof, that has got to hurt! And with that, the jewel on Ruby's face starts to blink, until it fades, causing the fainted pokemon to plop into the water! Well, at least now spenstar has the time to take it to therapy, seriously, Ruby has got to work on its anger issues!

    Death:
Shadow Ball: 0 Damage, 9 Energy
Thunderbolt: 23 Damage, 4 Damage recoil, 7 Energy
Shadow Ball, Critical Hit!: 29 Damage, 5 Energy

After Ruby is called back into its pokeball, Dialga lets out a mighty roar, indicating that the match is still not over! The legendary beast transports Death into the Baby room and unfreezes time! Brick is released from its limbo prison and finally feels the moxie boost it should have gotten ages ago! Dialga has one more gift for the patient little fighter, granting it an increase in most of it's stats! Death has to just sit there and take it, barely clinging on to life (or death? since he is a ghost...).

Can Death possibly make a come back, or has Brick already won it all? We're soon to find out!

You did great, Ruby. Now Brick, let's get ready to rock! Gengar's almost down for the count! I want you to use Payback until Gengar lives up to its nickname! Don't worry about will-o-wisp, you'll still KO the bastard. HOWEVER, if it uses hypnosis, there's not much you can do. Oh wait, yes there is. If Gengar uses hypnosis, close your eyes to avoid getting hit, and then just KO him with Payback

Payback-Payback-Payback (close eyes in case of hypnosis)

Ok, since he's closing his eyes, pretend to use Hypnosis, but then smack him with a Thunderbolt. He'll probably miss since his eyes are closed! Then, actually use Hypnosis, and then finish up with another Thunderbolt.

Of course, once Brick realized that it wasn't a hypnosis, (he moves second) he'll open his eyes to deliver that payback. x)

Looks like the climax of the battle is just about to start! Death starts things out with a hypnosis, or atleast that's what he wants Brick to think! Brick immediately closes his eyes to brace the attack, falling for Death's trick! Instead, Death charges up a Thunderbolt that ends up being a critical hit! Brick gets hit back, but is here's his masters orders to open his eyes too late, leading him to wildly swing a payback and miss completely! Pokemon are truly loyal creatures, listening to their trainers whether it makes sense or not. Death smiles and prepares a hypnosis! Brick immediately covers his eyes, but embarrassed from his last move, he can't help but peep a bit to see what Death is really doing. Just at that moment, Death releases his hypnotic waves directly at brick! The hypnosis comes flying faster, and brick looks in terror as it comes closer and closer until it finally, misses? Yes, it's a miss! Brick jumps in glee and promptly whacks Death with a payback, winning Spenstar the battle!

Brick gives Dialga a thumbs up, and Dialga nods in approval. Looks like Brick has made a new friend! And with that, Dialga lets out a mighty roar before disappearing into a different dimension, probably to continue to search for palkia. Suddenly the ground starts to rumble and the two fields fuse together, becoming one, reverting the place to its former state! And with that, all evidence of the battle disappears, and the two trainers depart to lead their separate journeys.

Congrats to Spenstar for his victory! Here are the prizes:
    Both players get 2 TC
Destiny: 1 EC, 2 MC, 1 DC counter
    Death: 3MC, 1 KO counter
Ruby: 2 MC, 1 DC counter
    Brick: 1EC, 2MC, 1 DC and 2 KO counter

Finally I get 4 Ref counters
