Tynamo

Overview
########

Tynamo is infinitely versatile. The EleFish Pokemon's unique, electrifying flavor makes for great sashimi, and goes well with a dash of black pepper and mustard seed in grilled Tynamo filets. It's also mild enough to be used in applications like stir-fries and paella without overpowering the rest of the ingredients, though - a far cry from the entirely-too-strong taste of its evolutions. Ground Tynamo burgers are a Unovan cookout staple with a bit of red pepper - you name it, this fish can do it.

Oh, you wanted to talk about battles? Yeah, it's pretty shit.

Moves
========

The great thing about Thunder Wave is that anything can use it and it's technically contributing, so that's Tynamo's main job. Switch in on a Choice-locked Earthquake, use Thunder Wave on the switch-in, and then watch as, the next turn, Tynamo is scaled, gutted, and prepared as a victory meal for the victorious Trainer. Most likely the opponent, since you're the one running 5 Pokemon and a fishy 9-volt battery. In the unlikely event that Tynamo actually survives another turn, I guess you just spam Charge Beam? Look, I hadn't given it that much thought; it didn't seem terribly relevant. Spark and Tackle probably allow Tynamo to break through, I dunno, maybe Ledian or something.

Set Details
========

Tynamo will never, ever outrun anything, so the given EV spread has it hitting as hard as possible. Well, less "hard" and more "al dente", but still. Speaking of which, the Nomel Berry is there so that when Tynamo dies - which, let's not kid ourselves, is pretty much as soon as it leaves its Poke Ball - the impact of the killing blow will crush the tart fruit, providing some light seasoning that highlights the electric "kick" of Tynamo's flavor. If you can get away with it, you may want to see if the opponent will let you bring Tynamo into battle with another Berry as well, to complement the Nomel's flavor - perhaps a Tamato. This is technically a violation of the Pokemon League rules, but come on; they're already getting enough of an advantage, you're using Tynamo.

Usage Tips
========

Switch in on Choice-locked Earthquakes. These are the only opportunity you will ever get to switch Tynamo in. You may want to ask your opponent to consider the move they use to kill Tynamo carefully. The texture of the meat is delicate, and doesn't take well to being brutalized by something like Stone Edge; ideally, Tynamo will die in the flames of a Heatran's Fire Blast, and its outside will be singed to perfection while its interior remains juicy. Psychic attacks are also a good choice; Pokemon like Alakazam can filet and prepare Tynamo during the battle using the power of their mind.

Team Options
========

Tynamo works best with a selection of complimentary sides. Pureed Cherubi spread on fresh bread is a good fit, but be careful not to overdo it; Cherubi are a very strong, sweet flavor that can easily be overpowering if not used carefully. A Miltank butter sauce with Nomel and Bayleef can also work, but, again, you'll want to be very careful about how much Bayleef you use.

Other Options
########

I don't think Tynamo strictly, technically, has other options.

Let's try Locked & Outdated analyses this time.

If somebody actually wants to upload this when the new dex is up, feel free, but uh, yeah.
