[OVERVIEW]

With great moves in Superpower and Outrage and the coveted ability Rock Head, which removes recoil damage taken from Head Smash, Tyrantrum is one of the best Choice Scarf users in the tier. Tyrantrum has access to Rock Polish, which makes it a very threatening late-game sweeper. Tyrantrum has a monstrous Attack stat that complements its high-Base Power STAB moves, which makes it a fearsome wallbreaker. Tyrantrum also has great physical bulk which lets it switch into many physical attacks safely. This is further coupled with Tyrantrum's great defensive typing that grants it resistances to Fire- and Flying-type moves and lets it take on Houndoom and Braviary. Unfortunately, Tyrantrum's low Speed makes it very vulnerable to revenge killers. Its typing is also a double-edged sword, as it is weak to Hitmonlee, Seismitoad, Mega Glalie, and Mega Steelix, all of which are very common. In addition, Tyrantrum's extremely low Special Defense means even some resisted special attacks can 2HKO it.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Head Smash lets Tyrantrum wallbreak thanks to its high Base Power. Outrage has great neutral coverage with Head Smash and allows it cleave through various Head Smash resists, such as Fighting-types. Superpower nails Registeel and Mega Steelix hard but at the cost of lowering Tyrantrum's Attack and Defense by one stage. Aerial Ace allows Tyrantrum to revenge kill Virizion from full and not rely on Outrage to do so when it's slightly weakened. Dragon Claw, on the other hand, provides a safer yet weaker STAB move compared to Outrage that is useful to pick off Flygon without having to lock itself into Outrage.

Set Details
========

Choice Scarf allows Tyrantrum to outspeed a majority of the unboosted metagame. Rock Head allows Tyrantrum to use Head Smash freely without receiving any recoil damage. Maximum Speed investment with a Jolly nature allows Tyrantrum to outspeed threats such as Jolteon, Delphox, and Choice Scarf Emboar when equipped with a Choice Scarf. The 252 Attack EVs maximize Tyrantrum's high Attack stat.

Usage Tips
========

This set is used generally on teams that need a revenge killer. It should be noted that most Choice Scarf users in RU such as Flygon and Rotom-C can outspeed Tyrantrum, as it has an average base Speed. Players can switch Tyrantrum into several physical attacks throughout the game safely due to its great natural physical bulk but should not switch it recklessly into special attackers or status moves, as they can heavily damage and cripple it, respectively. Tyarntrum can be used as a late-game cleaner when its checks and counters have been weakened or knocked out.

Team Options
========

Bulky Water-types such as Alomomola and Quagsire can pose a problem to Tyrantrum, so Grass-type Pokemon such as Tangrowth, Virizion, and Rotom-C make for good partners; the latter can also provide momentum with Volt Switch. They also resist Ground-types for Tyrantrum while Tyrantrum can handle Poison- and Flying-types for them. Entry hazards from Pokemon such as Mega Steelix, Seismitoad, and Qwilfish can greatly benefit Tyrantrum, wearing down its foes and picking up crucial KOs for Tyrantrum. For example, Tyrantrum fails to KO Virizion without any prior damage but can OHKO it with Stealth Rock and one layer of Spikes. Pokemon that can handle Steel-types such as Mega Steelix and Durant make for good partners. Seismitoad, Mega Camerupt, and Emboar are fine examples. Wallbreakers such as Medicham, Mega Glalie, Sigilyph, and Exploud work well with Tyrantrum, as they can weaken the opposing team for Tyrantrum to clean up late-game with more ease.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Rock Polish increases Tyrantrum's Speed by two stages, which allows it to outspeed a majority of the tier. Head Smash allows Tyrantrum to severely dent holes in opposing teams. Outrage hits Pokemon that can eat up a Head Smash such as Seismitoad, Quagsire, and Gurdurr. Dragon Claw is an option over Outrage, as it is safer yet weaker option.. Earthquake forms great coverage with Tyrantrum's dual STAB types, as it nails Steel-types such as Registeel and Mega Steelix, which would otherwise wall Tyrantrum.

Set Details
========

Life Orb is used to provide Tyrantrum with an increased damage output. Stone Plate is an option over Life Orb to exclusively boost the power of Head Smash without recoil and also allows Tyrantrum to bluff a Choice Scarf against opponents. Rock Head allows Tyrantrum to use Head Smash freely without receiving any recoil damage. 252 Attack EVs with an Adamant nature are used to maximize Tyrantrum's high Attack stat. Maximum investment in Speed allows Tyrantrum to outspeed threats such as Accelgor and Choice Scarf Flygon after a Rock Polish boost.

Usage Tips
========

This set is primarily used as a late-game sweeper. It should be noted that if Tyrantrum is not your win condition, it can be used as a decent wallbreaker to break defensive cores due to its powerful attacks. Tyrantrum also does not get too many chances to set up, so it should set up on Pokemon that cannot do much damage to it such as Golbat, Fletchinder, and Emboar locked into Flare Blitz. Players should only attempt to sweep with Tyrantrum once its checks and counters have been eliminated.

Team Options
========

Wallbreakers such as Emboar, Meloetta, and Mega Glalie make for great partners, as they can weaken Tyrantrum's defensive checks and counters such as Bronzong and Quagsire to help it sweep teams easier. In addition, Uxie and Bronzong can provide dual screens support for Tyrantrum to ease setup. They can also provide Stealth Rock support for Tyrantrum. Tyrantrum also appreciates Healing Wish support from the likes of Mesprit to give it a chance to play more recklessly early-game and be revived to sweep teams late-game. Tyrantrum is very susceptible to priority moves such as Mach Punch from Hitmonlee and Ice Shard from Sneasel and Mega Glalie. Therefore, Pokemon that can take a Mach Punch such as Sigilyph and Uxie are great partners. Steel-types such as Mega Steelix and Escavalier can beat Fairy- and Ice-types such as Aromatisse and Mega Glalie, which can hinder Tyrantrum's sweep, while Tyrantrum handles Fletchinder for them.

Moves
========

Head Smash can easily punch holes in opposing teams. Outrage is used for great neutral coverage with Head Smash, hitting Pokemon that can eat up a Head Smash such as Seismitoad, Quagsire, and Gurdurr. Superpower nails REgisteel, Bronzong, and Mega Steelix but at the cost of lowering Tyrantrum's Attack and Defense by one stage. Earthquake is used to heavily damage Steel-types such as Mega Steelix and Registeel without having to drop Tyrantrum's Attack. Lastly, Dragon Claw is an option over Earthquake to have a safer Dragon-type STAB option, though the power difference between it and Outrage is noticeable as it fails to 2HKO Rhyperior.

Set Details
========

Choice Band is the item of choice in order to amplify Tyrantrum's monstrous Attack stat. Rock Head allows Tyrantrum to use Head Smash freely without inflicting itself any recoil damage. An Adamant nature with maximum Attack investment maximizes Tyrantrum's wallbreaking capabilities. The Speed investment is used to outspeed slower Pokemon such as Modest Exploud and Adamant Emboar. A Jolly nature is used so that Tyrantrum can outspeed Timid Hoopa.

Usage Tips
========

This Tyrantrum set is primarily used as a wallbreaker to weaken defensive cores. It is encouraged to bring Tyrantrum in safely via U-turn, Volt Switch, or double switching, as it does not like taking unneccesary damage. Players should be careful of revenge killers that can easily outspeed and knock out Tyrantrum due to its low Speed and mediocre Special Defense. It is also advised for players to clear any entry hazards from the field, as Tyrantrum would get worn down easily otherwise.

Team Options
========

Setup sweepers such as Calm Mind Meloetta and Swords Dance Virizion benefit from Tyrantrum's ability to weaken their defensive checks and counters to open a path for them to sweep. Pokemon that can deal with offensive teams such as Accelgor, Jolteon, and Choice Scarf Medicham are also great partners, as they can clean up late-game and easily handle offensive teams that Tyrantrum has trouble against. Tyrantrum likes entry hazard removal support from the likes of Hitmonlee and Togetic, as it does not like being worn down by entry hazards. Opposing Dragon-types such as Druddigon and Flygon pair well with Tyrantrum, as they can form a very threatening wallbreaking core and the former can provide Stealth Rock support while the latter has Defog, Tailwind, and U-turn support.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A Dragon Dance set can be used but Tyrantrum is still rather slow after a boost and can be revenge killed easily. Crunch is an option to hit Bronzong harder but is generally not worth it, as Tyrantrum loses out on much-needed coverage. Stealth Rock is also an option, but other Pokemon are better at this role and, again, Tyrantrum loses out on coverage. Lum Berry is a viable option on the Rock Polish set that gives Tyrantrum a safety net against status, which can ease setup. Substitute can be used to ease prediction and setup against opponents. A set with Rock Polish and Substitute holding a Liechi Berry is another alternative. Lastly, Dragon Tail is an option for phazing Pokemon, but Druddigon does a much better job at it.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Steel-types such as Mega Steelix and Registeel can take a hit from Tyrantrum's coverage moves, and the former can retaliate with a powerful Steel-type STAB move while the latter can cripple it with Thunder Wave or set up a Curse on it. Bronzong, though it takes a lot of damage from a Choice Band-boosted Head Smash, can take any of Tyrantrum's other hits and retaliate with a Gyro Ball.

**Special Attackers**: Because of Tyrantrum's subpar Special Defense and typing, it is very susceptible to powerful special attackers. Special attackers that naturally outspeed Tyrantrum such as Meloetta, Delphox, Rotom-C, and Jolteon can heavily damage it with their strong neutral or super effective coverage moves. Bulkier special attackers such as Tangrowth, Seismitoad, and Mega Camerupt all can take an unboosted hit if needed and retaliate back with their strong special attacks.

**Physically Defensive Pokemon**: Bulky Water-types such as Alomomola, Quagsire, and physically defensive Seismitoad can eat up any hit from Tyrantrum and potentially burn it with Scald. Bulky Fairy-types such as Aromatisse and Mega Audino can take a hit from Tyrantrum and hit it with their Fairy-type moves. Bulky Ghost-types such as Spiritomb, Jellicent, and Cofagrigus can all also take a hit from Tyrantrum and proceed to burn it with Will-O-Wisp, which cripples it severely. Cofagrigus is noteworthy for being able to turn Tyrantrum's ability into Mummy, which causes Head Smash to have recoil damage. Hitmontop can also sponge any hit from Tyrantrum, thanks to Intimidate and its great physical bulk, and KO back with a Close Combat.

**Revenge Killers**: Faster Choice Scarf Pokemon such as Hitmonlee, Rotom-C, Medicham, Flygon, and Meloetta are able to heavily damage Tyrantrum due to its low Speed. Mach Punch and Ice Shard from the likes of Hitmonlee, Sneasel, and Mega Glalie, while they will not OHKO it, can pick off Tyrantrum easily when it is weakened. Non-Choice Scarf variants are even more susceptible to revenge killers. Gallade, Hitmonlee, and Virizion are prime examples.

Dinos are fun.

[Overview]
- I'd put Houndoom if you're going to put a Fire-type. Emboar can blast Tyrant with Superpower...

[Choice Scarf]
- I really see no use for EQ. In fact, I always use Smash Outrage Superpower DClaw. Superpower just seems to hit everything EQ does, but harder. You're only staying in for one hit usually anyway and you should be cleaning with Smash or Outrage.
- Most Scarfers in RU outspeed Tyrant actually. The only common one that doesn't is Emboar
- Uh, Steel-type killers? They kind of laugh at both STAB options. Seismitoad can switch into and beat most. Fire-types (Emboar, Mega Camel, etc.) are also nice
- General wallbreakers to make it easier to clean with Head Smash. Gallade, Scrafty, Hitmonlee, Emboar, etc.

[Rock Polish]
- Setting up on Fletch is a bad idea as most carry Wisp. You're really just looking for a choice locked move that you resist or can at least take as you set up with at least 40% left.
- Defense against priority, especially Mach Punch and Ice Shard. Stuff like Uxie, Aromatisse, and Togetic handle Hitmonlee (Mach Punch) Steels like Cobalion and Durant are fine Ice Shard responses to keep the pressure on.

[Choice Band]
- DClaw may not be as important here, but I still think it deserves at least a moves mention for being an option over EQ as a safer Dragon STAB option
- Note that Flygon can, depending on the set it runs, provide U-turn and / or Tailwind support to aid Tyrantrum

[Other Options]
- Elemental fangs just to say they're terrible
- Dragon Tail if you want phazing, but Druddigon is prolly better for that

[Checks and Counters]
- Bronzong isn't a hard counter. It takes around 50% from CB Head Smash. It can take any other common attack from Tyrant though.
- Make special note of Cofagrigus turning Rock Head into Mummy and it instantly causing Head Smash recoil damage. It's kind of hilarious actually
- Note that Accelgor outspeeds any variant that doesn't have +2 Speed.
- Non-Scarf sets are susceptible to a whole host of threats OHKOing it. Gallade, Hitmonlee, Cobalion, Durant, and Rotom-C all outspeed non-Scarf Tyrant (Cobalion can handle one EQ from the Rock Polish set if it's already set up when Cobal comes in. The rest lose if it has already set up tho)

No, let's not do this. If you're going to add something to other options, it should have merit. Why would you add something there just to say it's bad, especially when it gets no usage?
Whoops. Thought I had deleted that point. My bad. I'm tired. My eyes suck LOL (tho not really. that was kinda terrible...)

hm, i think dark pulse is superior to crunch in this metagame (i advocated crunch doomer way back b.c it was drag meta and spdef momo was it's good set, but meta shifts make crunch dookie once more), but i'll leave that alone for an overview bit. i wouldn't discredit setting up on fletch, b.c choice sets as a whole overshadow rp usage to the point where wisp is a sub-optimal play under normal circumstances (ofc, if the opps lacks switch-ins at w/e stage in the game, or they're able to gauge risk to the point where they fear the rp that much, then that's moot, but this boils down to game-to-game ish really). aromatisse and togetic seem like ridiculous options b.c a.they burn momentum like anything and you don't splash rp tyrantrum on balance, b.tyrantrum takes priority from above, like, 60% iirc anyway (meaning plate variants still can totally eat an attack and clean), and c.there aren't a ton of times where you get a free turn to rp, do it, then switch it out to preserve it for a later point. that'd mean that you're playing an offensive team that would readily concede multiple free turns to a pokemon that sweeps them, even when having already taken > 40% (b.c it needs to be that low for the priority to ko), or you're somehow assuming they'll also allow you to pass a wish off to it, which again doesn't mesh w/the whole "rp tyrantrum shouldn't be on balance" bit. uxie's cool, b.c it keeps momentum and makes sense on these types of team, but ech.

but yeah, nitpicky, this looks good

Emphasize on it's special defense. It's not just low, it's abysmal. I even think twice switching this thing into Fire moves sometimes.

In choice scarf moves, for Superpower, you say it nails Bronzong while hitting Mega Steelix. That wording kinda sounds awkward because it certainly doesn't nail Bronzong, it wouldn't care too much about it (32.5 - 38.4%, and it'll keep decreasing) while it can Gyro Ball in return, so fix that.

I'd add a mention of how Tyrantrum is one of the best Choice Scarf users in RU (if not the best).

Here's a tip when it comes to making the overview more informative which I think you'll find useful: Try to avoid adding information that you can find via the dex already, such as moves this Pokemon has access to, stats, or abilities. In general, when writing the overview, just stick to saying what the Pokemon does and tie in pros and cons where applicable when doing so. In Tyrantrum's case, it can function as a wallbreaker, choice scarf user, and cleaner, and only one of those is mentioned in the overview as far as I can see.

Some other things:

add liechi berry to other options, works well with sub + rp

I wanna see the overview changed b4 I give you the final check

[OVERVIEW]

With the transition from XY to ORAS, Gamefreak Game Freak has blessed Tyrantrum with great moves in Superpower and Outrage. They also gave Tyrantrum the coveted ability, (RC) Rock Head, (AC) which removes recoil damage taken from Head Smash. These factors have made Tyrantrum to be one of the best Choice Scarf users in the tier. Moreover, Tyrantrum has access to Rock Polish, which makes it a very threatening late-game sweeper. Furthermore, Tyrantrum has a monstrous attack Attack stat that complements its high Base Power STAB moves which and makes it a fearsome wallbreaker. Tyrantrum also has great physical bulk which lets it switch into several physical attacks safely. This is further coupled with Tyrantrum's great defensive typing that grants it resistances to Fire- and Flying-Types which lets it take on Houndoom and Braviary. Unfortunately, Tyrantrum's low speed Speed lets makes it be very vulnerable to revenge killers. Its typing is also like a double-edged sword, (AC) as it is weak to Fighting-, Ground-, Ice-, (AC) and Steel-Typestypes, which leaves it very susceptible to pokemon common Pokemon such as Hitmonlee, Seismitoad, Mega Glalie, (AC) and Mega Steelix, all of which are very common (makes things a bit more concise). In addition, Tyrantrum's extremely low Special Defense greatly hinders it, (AC) as even some resisted special attacks can 2HKOes it.

Moves
========

Head Smash is used for an extremely powerful STAB move due to Tyrantrum's high attack Attack stat and Head Smash's high Base power Power. Outrage is used for another a powerful secondary STAB and has great neutral coverage with Head Smash. Dragon Claw, on the other hand, provides a safer yet but weaker STAB Dragon-type move compared to than Outrage. Lastly, Superpower nails Scrafty and Mega Steelix harder all in one moveslot (awkward phrase) but at the cost of lowering its Attack and Defense by one stage.

Set Details

A Choice Scarf allows Tyrantrum to outspeed a majority of the unboosted metagame. Rock Head is the ability of choice which (can be trimmed down, not really needed) allows Tyrantrum to use Head Smash freely without receiving any recoil damage. A Jolly nature is an option in order for Tyrantrum outspeed Modest Seismitoad and Adamant Medicham, (AC) which could be prove crucial, (AC) though it loses out on at the cost of some power (sounds a bit less awkward).

Usage Tips
========

This Tyrantrum set is primarily used as a wallbreaker to weaken defensive cores. It is encouraged for players to bring Tyrantrum in safely via U-Turn, Volt Switch, (AC) or double switching, (AC) as it does not like taking unneccesary damage. Due to Tyrantrum's low Speed and mediocre Special Defense, Players players should be careful of revenge killers that can easily outspeed and knock out KO Tyrantrum it due to its low Speed and mediocre Special Defense (sounds a bit better to me, though since it's an am check it's up to you ofc). It is also advised for players to clear any entry hazards from the field, (AC) as Tyrantrum would get worn down easily

Team Options
========

Setup sweepers, (AC) such as Calm Mind Meloetta and Hone Claws Durant, (AC) benefit from Tyrantrum's ability to weaken their defensive checks and counters to which opens a path for them to sweep. Pokemon that can deal with offensive teams, (AC) such as Accelgor, Jolteon, (AC) and Choice Scarf Medicham, (AC) are also great partners, (AC) as they can clean up late-game and easily handle offensive teams that Tyrantrum has trouble against. Tyrantrum likes entry hazard removal support from the likes of Hitmonlee and Togetic, (AC) as it does not like being worn down by them. Opposing Other Dragon-Types, (AC) such as Druddigon and Flygon, (AC) pair well with Tyrantrum, (AC) as they can form a very threatening wallbreaking core and . (add period) the The former can provide Stealth Rock support while the latter has Defog, Tailwind, (AC) and U-Turn support.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A Dragon Dance set can be used, (AC) but Tyrantrum is still rather slow after a boost and can be revenge killed easily. Crunch is an option to hit Bronzong harder, (AC) but it is generally not worth it, (AC) as Tyrantrum loses out on much-needed coverage. Stealth Rock is also an option, (AC) but other pokemon Pokemon are better at this role and, (AC) once again, Tyrantrum loses out on coverage. Lum Berry is a viable option on the Rock Polish set which gives Tyrantrum a safety net against status which can ease setup. Substitute can be used to ease prediction and setup against opponents. A set with Rock Polish and the aftermentioned aforementioned Substitute, holding a Liechi Berry is another alternative that can be used. Lastly, Dragon Tail is an option for phazing out pokemon Pokemon, (AC) but Druddigon does a much better job at it.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-Types**: Bulky Steel-Types, (AC) such as Mega Steelix and Registeel, (AC) can take a hit from Tyrantrum's coverage moves, (RC) . (add period) the The former can then retaliate with its powerful Steel-Type STAB moves while the former latter can cripple it with Thunder Wave or set up a Curse on it. Steel-Types that naturally outspeed Tyrantrum, (AC) such as Durant and Cobalion, (AC) can outspeed and KO it with their STAB attacks. Bronzong, though takes a lot of damage from a Choice Band Head Smash, can take any of Tyrantrum's other hits attacks and retaliate with a Gyro Ball.

**Special Attackers**: Because of Tyrantrum's subpar Special Defense and typing, it is very susceptible to powerful special attackers. Special attackers that naturally outspeed Tyrantrum, (AC) such as Meloetta, Delphox, Rotom-C, (AC) and Jolteon, (AC) can heavily damage it with their strong neutral or super effective coverage moves. Bulkier special attackers, (AC) such as Tangrowth, Seismitoad, (AC) and Mega Camerupt, (AC) all can take an unboosted hit if needed and retaliate back with their strong special attacks.

**Physically Defensive Pokemon**: Bulky Water-Typestypes, (AC) such as Alomomola, Quagsire, (AC) and physically defensive Seismitoad, (AC) can eat up any hit from Tyrantrum and potentially burn it with Scald. Bulky Fairy-Types such as Aromatisse and Mega Audino can take a hit from Tyrantrum and hit it with their super effective Fairy-Type moves. Bulky Ghost-Types, (AC) such as Spiritomb, Jellicent, (AC) and Cofagrigus, (AC) can all also take a hit from Tyrantrum and proceed to burn it with Will-O-Wisp, (AC) which cripples it severely. Cofagrigus is noteworthy for being able to turn Tyrantrum's ability into Mummy, (AC) which causes Head Smash to have recoil damage. Hitmontop can also sponge any hit from Tyrantrum thanks to Intimidate and its great physical bulk, and KO it back with a Close Combat.

**Revenge Killers**: Faster Choice Scarf Pokemon users, (AC) such as Hitmonlee, Durant, Rotom-C, Medicham, Flygon, (AC) and Meloetta, (AC) are able to heavily damage it due to Tyrantrum's low speed. Priority moves in the form of Mach Punch and Ice Shard from the likes of Hitmonlee, Sneasel, (AC) and Mega Glalie, while will not unable to OHKO it, can pick off Tyrantrum easily when it is weakened. Non-Choice Scarf variants are even more susceptible to revenge killers that threaten to KO it. Gallade, Hitmonlee, Cobalion, Durant, (AC) and Virizion are prime examples.

I know this already got approved by QC but I feel there should at least be some mention of Hone Claws or a Double Dance set with Rock Polish and Hone Claws. The benefit from this set allows Rock Polish Tyrantrum to punch through bulkier teams while still maintaining the capacity to run over offense. It's a set I've used a fair bit in games versus friends which has been a solid choice overall and deserves a mention somewhere.

name: Double Dance
move 1: Rock Polish
move 2: Hone Claws
move 3: Head Smash
move 4: Earthquake / Outrage
item: Life Orb / Stone Plate
ability: Rock Head
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

The obvious issues lie in being walled by something when you lose out on either EQ or Outrage but overall the ability to bust through both types of teams at a certain point in the game is enough here.

I would have to disagree on that. If anything, I would run Dragon Dance over Hone Claws just because I would get a +1 speed on Tyrantrum to threaten some mons on offense. Sure it loses out on accuracy but I feel that if you wanna punch through bulkier teams DD is the better option but both of them are still bad.

well written :) just make sure to cut down a bit on fluff and to use serial commas (x, y, and z instead of x, y and z). personally I don't like serial commas but we use 'em here
[OVERVIEW]

With the transition from XY to ORAS, Game Freak has blessed Tyrantrum with great moves in Superpower and Outrage. They also gave Tyrantrum and the coveted ability, Rock Head, (comma) which removes recoil damage taken from Head Smash. These factors have made, (comma) Tyrantrum to be is one of the best Choice Scarf users in the tier. Moreover, Tyrantrum has access to Rock Polish, which makes it a very threatening late-game sweeper. Furthermore, Tyrantrum has a monstrous Attack stat that complements its high Base Power STAB moves, (comma) which makes it a fearsome wallbreaker. Tyrantrum also has great physical bulk which lets it switch into several physical attacks safely. This is further coupled with Tyrantrum's great defensive typing that grants it resistances to Fire- and Flying-types moves and which lets it take on Houndoom and Braviary. Unfortunately, Tyrantrum's low Speed makes it lets it be very vulnerable to revenge killers. Its typing is also like a double-edged sword, (comma) as it is weak to Fighting-, Ground-, Ice-, (comma) and Steel-types moves, which leaves it Tyrantrum very susceptible to Pokemon such as Hitmonlee, Seismitoad, Mega Glalie, (comma) and Mega Steelix, all of which are very common. In addition, Tyrantrum's extremely low Special Defense greatly hinders it, (comma) as even some resisted special attacks can 2HKO it.

Tyarntrum can be used as a late-game cleaner when its checks and counters have been weakened or knocked out.

Entry hazards from Pokemon such as Mega Steelix, Seismitoad, (comma) and Qwilfish can greatly benefit Tyrantrum, wearing as it can wear down its opposing foes. Entry hazards can also pick and picking up crucial KOs for Tyrantrum. Opposing Dragon-types such as Druddigon and Flygon pair well with Tyrantrum, as they can form a very threatening wallbreaking core and the former can provide Stealth Rock support while the latter has Defog, Tailwind, (AC) and U-turn support.

Other Options
=============

===================

**Steel-types**: Steel-types such as Mega Steelix and Registeel can take a hit from Tyrantrum's coverage moves, and the former can retaliate with its a powerful Steel-type STAB move while the latter can cripple it with Thunder Wave or set up a Curse on it. Steel-types that naturally outspeed Tyrantrum such as Durant and Cobalion can KO it with their STAB attacks.

Hitmontop can also sponge any hit from Tyrantrum, thanks to Intimidate and its great physical bulk, and KO it back with a Close Combat.

**Revenge Killers**: Faster Choice Scarf Pokemon such as Hitmonlee, Durant, Rotom-C, Medicham, Flygon, and Meloetta are able to heavily damage Tyrantrum due to its low Speed. Priority moves in the form of Mach Punch and Ice Shard from the likes of Hitmonlee, Sneasel, and Mega Glalie, while they will not OHKO it, can pick off Tyrantrum easily when it is weakened. Non-Choice Scarf variants are even more susceptible to revenge killers. Gallade, Hitmonlee, Cobalion, Durant, and Virizion are prime examples.
