These are defensively-oriented Arceus forms, but they do need to get a mention, I guess. I personally think Steel Arceus needs to be in here too, but he already has his own description.

Defensive Arceus formes:

Grass / Poison / Psychic Arceus
Role: Support / Sweeper

Due to their relatively poor offensive typings, Grass, Poison, and Psychic Arceus are usually relegated to more defensive roles. This is not to say that they do not belong on offensive teams. Each can bring their unique strengths to a battle. Grass Arceus is possibly the most consistent checks to Kyogre in the entire tier, being able to switch into any attack the leviathan fires and Recover off the damage, or use its Grass STAB to severe damage Kyogre. It is also a great Pokemon to spread around paralysis, especially since Ground-types immune to Thunder Wave get destroyed by Grass-type moves. Poison Arceus's main niche is to easily absorb Toxic Spikes that ruin many Ubers upon switching in. Although Poison is not a very good offensive typing, Poison Arceus is immune to Toxic, which means it can set up on Blissey and Chansey with impunity. Finally, Psychic Arceus in the rain is probably the only Pokemon that can claim to wall Mewtwo. It resists both Psystrike and Aura Sphere, is neutral to Ice Beam and Fire Blast and can 2HKO Mewtwo in return with a combination of Payback and ExtremeSpeed. All three Arceus formes have their own distinct Calm Mind sets. Grass Arceus, although lacking good coverage, can slowly boost up against Rain teams that rely on Ferrothorn too much and eventually sweep. Like already mentioned, Poison Arceus is immune to Toxic which prevent it being stopped by Blissey and Chansey. It also has access to STAB Sludge Bomb, which can potentially poison opposing Calm Mind users and shift the momentum on Poison Arceus's side. Finally, Psychic Arceus has access to STAB Psyshock, while allows it to bypass special walls by attacking their physical Defense. While such a set may appear outclassed by Mewtwo, Psychic Arceus's natural bulk makes it much harder to revenge kill, and allows it to easily set up.

Great Sage

Banned deucer.
Notes:
-Change all instances of "Judgement" to the correct "Judgment.
-Bug Arceus is very poor; Bug STAB simply has too many resistances and the typing does not offer useful qualities like Grass does
-It's difficult to justify using Fire Arceus over Reshiram, although Fire is by no means the "most horrible" defensive typing; that distinction probably belongs to Ice
-Note that Grass Arceus is useful for more than Kyogre; it handles Groudon pretty well (can take even a Fire Punch and OHKO back) and counters the notoriously difficult-to-check Lustrous Orb Palkia in non-sunny weather
-Deoxys-N should be removed entirely. Nobody uses ExtremeSpeed Deoxys-S anymore, and Deoxys-A was already almost always better anyway.
-Heatran is a bit less effective at breaking stall in BW because Dragon Tail exists, so it can still be phazed out by Lugia and Giratina
-Taunt is rather worthless on offensive Mewtwo, because nobody tries to wall it now. They try to kill it quickly with Giratina-O or something really strong, and Mewtwo doesn't have the moveslot for it, since Psystrike should be complemented by two other attacks.
-V-create Rayquaza!
-Update Salamence to reflect that Moxie is released.
-Latias and Latios are kind of pathetic without Soul Dew.
-Lucario gets a lot of competition from Terrakion, which is faster and stronger; V-create Rayquaza is also able to OHKO defensive Groudon with some hazards; Lucario's ExtremeSpeed suffers from being relatively weak
-Gyro Ball should never be Ferrothorn's sole attack; it is too easily PP stalled

Besides Great Sage's changes, I will like to say Fighting Arceus can also go on the Supportive role instead of sweeping. It can deal with Dialga and Darkrai better than any other Arceus forme.

Fire Arceus's bulk and access to Calm Mind means it is very usable over Reshiram. I have used it to great success. Maybe mention Fire Arceus can help deal with opposing sun teams to an extend, as it can Calm Mind ahead of Reshiram ( one-on-one ), and smash the Dragon with Spacial Rend. Fire Arceus can also tank Ho-Oh with a bulkier spread, definitely worth mentioning.

Heatran is also hampered by Tentacruel's increasing popularity. Heatran has to switch to prevent any spinning when facing Tentacruel as the jellyfish has nothing to fear from Heatran.

Agreeing with Great Sage that Offensive Mewtwo does not use Taunt anymore, maybe something like Substitute is better as it eases prediction and can prevent revenge kills.

You might want to add V-Create on your Rayquaza in the sample team. Scarf Moxie Salamence is cool, should be mentioned. Latias and Latios are kinda pathetic like what Great Sage said though. Specs Latios is only worth using if you already have a Kyogre counter in your team.

I will say Lucario sucks these days. Too slow, and weaker than Terrakion is horrible. Terrakion also revenges slow Extremekiller Arceus easily.

Maybe a sun offense sample team might be nice since the stall article has a few sample teams. Adding a sun based offense seems like a good idea. Something like Groudon/ Reshiram / Palkia / Forretress / Ghost Arceus / Zekrom

Got most of Great Sage and Trickroom's changes. So I guess we're ready to get this through GP, although Shrang and moi are contemplating adding another sample team.

what happened to that sample team berry, if this is done let a GP member know.

Since barry is unlikely to post a sample team anyway, I am posting one for him. If everyone agrees to change it, it's fine. Oh, I saw barry using a team to test Sunny Day Reshiram and this one is similar about 95%? to it :)

Forretress (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 56 Def / 200 SpD
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Toxic Spikes
- Spikes
- Toxic
- Rapid Spin

Standard Forretress, with Toxic. Toxic is used to prevent Forretress from being set up fodder. It can beat SD Arceus one-on-one with Toxic and set up Spikes on Arceus. Poisoning Kyogre on the switch in can also be a key in winning against rain teams. Both Spikes and Toxic Spikes are important to wear down the opponent. Forretress's Special bulk is horrible so the investment are mandatory. Bold to survive double +1 LO Rayquaza Outrages and possibly 2 Scarf Zekrom Bolt Strikes. The hazards Forretress set up allows Reshiram to blow past its usual counters such as Blissey(Toxic Spikes) and Ho-Oh (Stealth Rock)

Groudon @ Leftovers
Trait: Drought
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Atk / 68 Def / 12 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock
- Dragon Tail
- Earthquake

Base of this team. Stone Edge is needed to smash Ho-Oh who could be very problematic otherwise. Earthquake smashes Dialga, Tyranitar, and Rock Arceus, all dangerous threats to this team. Dragon Tail phazes out the opponent and strips off a good amount of health from opposing sweepers such as Rayquaza or Garchomp. EVs are for optimum bulk while retaining much of Groudon's power. The Adamant nature helps Groudon 2HKO Ferrothorn after Spikes damage and it can also 2HKO non Defensive Arceus formes with Toxic Spikes support. Due to this Support Groudon's power, most people will assume it is an Offensive Groudn with leftovers. Defense EVs are random and helps Groudon survive a +1 Outrage from Rayquaza guaranteed.

Reshiram @ Leftovers
Trait: Turboblaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
- Sunny Day
- Blue Flare
- Dragon Pulse
- Substitute / Ancient Power

Reshiram plays a very important role in this team. Lure in Kyogre and set up Sunny Day to control the weather. While it might seem weird, Reshiram can even Blue Flare Kyogre for quite a bit of damage in the sun while non Specs Kyogre can not 2HKO in return. This will probably force the opponent to switch, giving you time to set up Substitute or just attack away. Dragon Pulse nails any Dragon-type who dares to switch in, even Specially Defensive Giratina faces a possible 2HKO after Stealth Rock. You can use Ancient Power to get past Ho-Oh and if you are feeling lucky about getting that 10% boost. Solar Beam or Focus Blast isn't needed as the team has Venusaur. Tyranitar takes quite a bit of damage from Blue Flare in the sun anyway.

Venusaur (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 SpA / 40 SpD / 216 Spe
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
- Grass Knot
- Growth
- Sludge Bomb
- Sleep Powder

A very underrated threat in Ubers. Once boosted, few things can stop this thing. Offensive Kyogre is OHKOed by Grass Knot so even the fat whale has to be wary of switching in. Sleep Powder is very useful for giving Venusaur free turns especially against foes who are immune to Toxic Spikes, Dialga, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Giratina-O and others. Sludge Bomb is a very useful STAB, and the poison chance can come in handy. It easily OHKOes both Mewtwo and Darkrai at +2 with Sludge Bomb while even the mighty Arceus is OHKOed by a boosted Grass Knot after Stealth Rock. Grass Knot is used over Energy Ball because Sludge Bomb already smashes Manaphy anyway and most Ubers tend to be heavy. Life Orb over leftovers for more power because Venusaur desperately needs it. In the sun, Venusaur can also used to revenge kill enemies such as against Ground Arceus ( major sun threat ), Darkrai or Shaymin-S.

Arceus-Ghost @ Spooky Plate
Trait: Multitype
EVs: 232 HP / 220 Def / 56 Spe
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Roar
- Judgment

Arceus-Ghost blocks spin and sweeps the opposing team with Calm Mind. Roar is to prevent opponents from setting up along side you which is very useful against Kyogre or opposing Arceus formes. Roar can also save the team by phazing out Ho-Oh behind a Sub. Recover is obvious while EVs are for more physical bulk to deal with Dragon Dance Rayquaza, Scarf Zekrom and takes much less damage from Mewtwo's Psytrike. Since this team lacks a Steel-resist outside of Forretress, Arceus-Ghost is chosen over Giratina-O to deal with Dragon-type sweepers better.

Palkia @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Spacial Rend
- Fire Blast
- Thunder
- Hydro Pump

Palkia checks Kyogre for the team and revenges DD Rayquaza as well. Spacial Rend is for some cleaning up late game, Fire Blast rips Steels and abuses the sun boost, Thunder slams Kyogre hard while Hydro Pump is in the last slot if the weather is rainy. Stone Edge can be used over Hydro Pump to deal with Ho-Oh. Scarf Palkia is standard, and is still used to revenge kill foes such as Mewtwo and Darkrai.

EDIT: Is this still being worked on?
