So first off I wanna explain my nicknames, since I'm using this Scizor set, I decided to pay homage. Then I thought, hm, ima just name everything after classic hip hop songs, I tried to make em all kinda relate to the mon (nidok is kinda a stretch), but u know :].

Now to the team, since I've gotta use stupid ass tspikes Nidok, I've gotta have some assholes that can abuse these tspikes, such as vincune, and I originally had gliscor and nape, but then i realized I got 6-0d by Gliscor, so thats when mamo and lati came into play, scarf lati is to help the matchup vs. Gliscor and mmane voltturn, mamo also improves my matchup vs things like glisc, mscept, zydawg, and also helps my matchup vs stall and yes TSR I am literally using this spread just to please u cuz i missed out on a vote last time for no reason smfh. The scizor is here cuz i want it to be there, and it deals with threats can be annoying as balls like mamoswine. Mscept is there cuz its fast as hell, is always a good mon to have with hazard support and shit like that. :D.

Alright, here's your cohost with the votes+next week!

As a bit of a precursor, this project in general will only allow you to vote for one person each round. So, because of this, I've only counted the first votes of those who voted for two. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

SuperVegeta20 is the winner this week! Congratulations!

SuperVegeta20 - 5 (4 if you don't count mine)
Explodingdaisies, Askov - 2

As for the next week, we've got Stall! This one's a lot more general than our last few weeks, but it still definitely invites enough creativity to be an interesting choice. Just bring the fattest stuff you've got! You could take the standard route of Alomomola+Blissey, or you could go for something spicier, as long as it's walltastic!

To clarify, it doesn't need to be AloBliss, it just needs to be stall.

Submissions due Saturday!

DOOT DOOT STALL

The premise of the team is to win the hazard war and stall out the opponent by spamming Toxic and/or PP stalling if necessary. I will only explain the unorthodoxed choices on the team because we all know what Alomomola, Blissey, Mandibuzz and Quagsire do.

Xatu beats the common hazard setters nowadays, Klefki, Gliscor and Tentacruel while Mandibuzz beats other, less common hazard setters, such as Krookodile. Other less common hazard setters, such as Nihilego and Aerodactyl-Mega are handled pretty well by the other part of the team.

Bastiodon handles huge threats to stall, such as Nasty Plot Togekiss and non-Surf Calm Mind Latias. It also helps a lot by phazing out Substitute + Calm Mind Chandelure and helps continually weakening it with hazards, as this team doesn't have reliable countermeasures to it.

I decided to go with m-alt stall. Previously, this had M-latias, but with it being banned I had to shuffle some things around. I went with a very peculiar M-alt set. I'm running beam-flame on this since I don't have m-lati anymore. beam-flame helps me nail most steels that altaria lures in but ice beam is pretty much for gliscor, as stallbreaker gliscor is a huge nightmare for this team. Also, cores like gliscor+water absorbers really put in work on this team(there has been a huge surge in water absorb mons like seis and gastrodon to help ease voltturn). Running heal bell on m-alt also frees up a slot on blissey to run rocks AND on togekiss to run wish since I'm not running alomomomomomomola and can help keep doublade healthy. Doublade helps with checking mons like coba, klefki, maero and such, and function as a wincon. I went with suicune as a way to pressure opposing stall and as a backup gliscor check and phazer. My last mon was ditto. Ditto helps me in various ways: It helps win the PP war against other stall. It helps deter setup sweepers(namely CM latias since im running beamflame m-alt) for fear of being revenge killed. Lastly, it helps scout for moves on opposing mons.

This team is built around SubCM Cresselia as I feel it is quite anti-meta, the evs allow Cresselia to ohko offensive Scizor with HP Fire at +1 while also outspeeding Jolly Sciz. The HP evs allow for 101 subs I go to 405 instead of 404 as coupled with spdef evs the sub can survive a LO Latias' Draco Meteor at +2. The rest of the evs are dumped in defense. Mantine was then added for hazard control as well as being quite a good soft-check to many top tier threats, like Scizor and Gliscor. Alomomola was the next addition as it gives my team Wish support, which is good for Cresselia as it doesn't have any recovery outside of Leftovers. Then M-Altaria was added, when I build stall I usually always use M-Altaria as it counters so many threats while also providing the rest of the team with cleric support. Blissey was then added as a blanket check to most special attackers in the tier. Blissey also provides my team with hazards which is necessary for all good teams. Quagsire was my last addition as it can check physical set-up sweepers thanks to Unaware, mold breaker users such as Haxorus and Pangoro can still beat it though.

After USM drops then Gliscor > Mantine is better for defog, as it only takes 12% from rocks while also being a better check to the top tier threats that I mentioned.

I strongly believe that the trio of Blissey, Alomomola, and Quagsire should be a firm staple of 99% of stall teams because of the tried-and-true security blanket all three can provide. That being said, the remaining three members of the team should generally cover hazard removal, hazards (which can be covered by Blissey to prevent teambuilding from becoming too constrained), a Steel type, a Fairy type, and of course, the threats that cannot be stopped by the aforementioned Blissey, Alomomola, or Quagsire.

Granbull provides this team with a cleric as Blissey cannot find room for either Heal Bell or Aromatherapy due to it having the responsibility to set up rocks. Intimidate in general just acts as a really convenient buffer to ease situations that would otherwise force riskier play, as it allows for it to better tackle some of the more physically imposing threats to stall, such as Heracross and Haxorus. I've opted to run Leftovers over Normalium-Z on this set, which also acts in conjunction with Protect, allowing for Granbull to both scout choiced users and for it to stick around for as long as possible. This also makes it less necessary for Granbull to be passed Wishes from Alomomola, which could prove to be useful especially when healing Granbull up might be an obvious play that could in turn be exploited. Fire Punch is probably the only other unorthodox move on the set, and it grants me an emergency button vs offensive Scizor, which could otherwise become potentially problematic.

Normally I'm not too big a fan of Defog Scizor, but it just so happened to mesh well enough with the rest of the members of the team while also offering me a stop to Mega Beedrill, some Latias sets, and most importantly, Togekiss. The Attack investment ensures that Scizor's Bullet Punch is a guaranteed 2HKO on Togekiss after Leftovers recovery, which can come in handy if rocks aren't up. The rest of the spread aims to maximize Scizor's overall bulk to help ensure it's longevity for the match.

Taunt Hydreigon rounds out the team, providing it with a nuisance to slower teams to help quicken games. It also helps halt other threats to stall such as Crawdaunt, Sub CM Chandelure, Taunt Gliscor, and Suicune. As with Granbull, I have decided to go with Leftovers instead of Draconium-Z or any other alternative to help Hydreigon 1v1 opposing mons with more ease. The set is fairly standard, but also one that has been passed up for other, more readily offensive Hydreigon sets. On stall teams however, this set is a boon in that it excels vs mostly all playstyles, and this particular trait helps to lessen the impact of a matchup advantage versus stall teams in general.

My variant of stall includes the glorious Escavalier. The team has three main goals. 1. Stay alive as long as possible. 2. Get Escavalier in safely. 3. Hit things hard. Alomomola provides its tried and true defensive capabilities as well as wish support. When playing this team, it is crucial that Alomomola staying alive is a top priority, as it truly is the glue that holds this team together. SpDef rotom-H is a lot bulkier than many people expect and provides a number of useful roles. It can cripple physical attackers with will-o-wisp, deal with steel types fairly well, and, most importantly, use volt switch to get Escavalier in safely. Umbreon can usually take a hit or two to stop physical attackers from setting up. Moonlight and wish are pretty unnecessary, but if I am being honest, I cannot think of another move it needs. Florges acts as a cleric if too many mons get statused as well as having the ability to set up and sweep provided steel types are already dealt with. Latias is there because it outspeeds a lot, can defog, can restore Escavalier with healing wish, and provide crucial hardhitting coverage to hit mons that are hard to deal with.

Finally we get to our star Escavalier. With a choice band, it has 608 attack which is absurd. Dark, Bug, and Steel is excellent coverage, and base 105 defenses means it can definitely live a hit or two while doing damage. One key mon to watchout for is band scizor which must be dealt with quickly in order to minimize damage.
