Keldeo + Bisharp

Keldeo-Resolute @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Electric]

Bisharp @ Assault Vest
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
- Iron Head

A nice offensive core for the lads, and a pretty simple one at that as well. Assault Vest Bisharp is there to come in and trap (or to at least play mindgames between Sucker and Pursuit) the Psychics/faster Pokemon like Latias, Celebi, Alakazam, Starmie, and Gengar for Keldeo. With those kinds of Pokemon gone, Specs Keldeo can proceed to easily punch holes in a variety of different team archetypes just due to its sheer power and lack of checks after the aforementioned Pokemon are eliminated. Keldeo also benefits Bisharp by providing pressure to Pokemon that usually check Bisharp, like Hippowdon, Gliscor, or even Pokemon like Bewear, which has been gaining some popularity lately. But yeah, overall, really good core featuring a couple of the best Pokemon in the metagame right now :toast:

Some Cores with Kyurem :

Kyurem + Tentacruel (Balanced) Core :

Kyurem @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Substitute
- Roost

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Haze
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin

This is a pretty cool core which works well against Volt-Turn and Stall because it really limits switch-ins and applies an amazing pressure to the opponent. Tentacruel is here to support Kyurem with Rapid Spin and setup Toxic Spikes on the opponent's field. Haze is here to stop dangerous sweepers and Scald is its offensive move. Sub Roost Kyurem pairs very well with Tentacruel because It can stall the opponent and wear it down quicklier thanks to Toxic Spikes, and then KO it with its STAB Ice Beam or Earth Power which also helps it against Poison Types which can remove them. Tentacruel and Kyurem have a great synergy together. Kyurem can beat Electric, Ground and Poison types for Tentacruel, and Tentacruel can beat or at least switch-into Fairy, Fighting and Steel types for Kyurem. Good teammates include pokemons that can apply a great offensive pressure like CB Scizor, Bisharp or Specs Keldeo and pokemons that can beat Fighting Types like Togekiss which also provides Thunder Wave support for Kyurem.

Kyurem + Keldeo (Offensive) Core :

Kyurem @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Substitute
- Roost

Keldeo-Resolute @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Bug]

This Core is an absolute nightmare for Balanced Teams. Like the previous Core, it has Sub Roost Kyurem which is here to beat Defensive threats like Amoonguss and Tentacruel, and heavily threaten Stall Teams which are annoying for Keldeo. Keldeo is here to beat Steel types which are annoying and to apply an amazing pressure to Balanced builds which is helped by Kyurem's ability to stall and wear down the opponent. HP Bug is here in case where Celebi and other Psychic Types have not been removed. Something that can handle Fairy types like Bisharp or Scizor are good. Something for Fighting Types like Gliscor or Togekiss (which also gives the Thunder Wave support) is also really good.

Kyurem + M-Aerodactyl (Offensive) Core :
Kyurem @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Substitute
- Roost

Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Aerial Ace
- Earthquake
- Pursuit

Like the previous ones, this core has Sub Roost Kyurem which is here to annoy defensive teams which give troubles to M-Aerodactyl. It can also beat Water, Ground and Electric Types which annoy M-Aerodactyl. M-Aerodactyl is a wonderful Revenge Killer/Cleaner which can finish the opponent's team after Kyurem's work. It can Pursuit trap Latias which is huge threat for Kyurem and make it's work easier. This core works very well agaisnt Bulky Offense and Balance because it's really good at beating or pressuring their common members like Amoonguss, Krookodile, Hippowdon, Raikou or Volcanion. For the partners any pokemon which can handle annoying Fairy types like Clefable or Primarina such as Tentacruel or Scizor are good partners. A Steel types check Keldeo or Gliscor are also appreciated.

- Hidden Power [Ice]

Keldeo-Resolute @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Icy Wind / Toxic

pretty simple core but i find it potent enough after a bit of testing. after a cm boost, raikou is guaranteed to ko latias with never-ending nightmare, and with rocks it has about an 80%ish chance to ko lati unboosted and guaranteed to ko celebi. raikou typically smacks other keldeo switchins as well, mainly bulky waters like tenta slowbro and cune. on the other hand keldeo is a good check to things like scarf krook, maero, bliss, lax, and hydra that are otherwise annoying af for raik.

As Donphantastic is otherwise occupied with real-life commitments, I will be taking over as host of this project. Aquadext will continue to serve as co-host. The OP has been updated with all the submissions we have accepted as of now.

Alomomola + Amoonguss, an infamous regen stall core which also has great synergy as Mola works as a wish passer and resists Fire, Ice while Amoonguss resists Grass and Electric. Not much to say really just a really standard stall core. Gen 5 best gen.

Another old stall core where Alomomola tanks most physical hits and Blissey tanks all special hits. Alomomola is usually the wish passer in this core with Blissey being the cleric. Also a pretty standard one so can't add too much ass everyone should already know how it functions
Please expand upon your descriptions, as per the thread rules. Once you have done so, the submission will be considered for the archive.

Slowking @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Slack Off
- Scald

Scizor @ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 124 Def / 136 SpD
Impish Nature
IVs: 30 Spe
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
- Roost

Balance core which soft checks a great portion of the meta and carries synergy in the fact they break down each others checks as we all as switch into them. Calm mind is a great win condition for slowking early game as it wears down pokemon like cobalion, tentacruel, and most of what troubles scizor. The more slowking spreads status with scald the easier it gets to clean with swords dance. Both mons are effective pivots allowing you to scout for random HP fire that may be used to break scizor. The spread on slowking allows you to switch into nidoqueen/king after rocks with the rest going into physical defence. Spread on scizor is standard SD with enough defence to switch into Mega aerodactyls stone edge after rocks. Slowking+scizor allows you to scout strong wallbreakers like primarina and effectively counter them. Slowking allows you to deal with most variants of clefable and latias while scizor clears up anything slowking can't normally. Obviously the core is weak to gengar, raikou, bisharp, and a few other fast threats so running some sort of deterrent is important.

Nidoqueen @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 180 HP / 252 SpA / 76 Spe
Modest Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave
- Ice Beam | Fire Blast | Thunderbolt | any other team-specific coverage

Latias @ Soul Dew
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock

Typical bulky offensive core here. As always, Nidoqueen's an underrated wallbreaker that also fulfills a bunch of other roles for a team, and it has some decent defensive synergy with Latias as well. Nidoqueen checks a bunch of Latias's usual blockades, most notably Clefable, which it switches into pretty freely. Queen's last slot is really dependent on the rest of the team and how vulnerable it may be to certain threats. Basically, this cookie cutter core is fairly easy to build around and is a highly effective one at the moment. I recommend that you all give it a whirl! n_n

Really surprised nobody has posted it yet...

An infamous defensive core back from ORAS OU... Slowbro struggles against Electric types, Scizor, Gengar, etc., Amoonguss beats each of the above 1v1. Amoonguss struggles against Fire and Ice types, who Slowbro beats 1v1. Slowking can be used over Slowbro if you are afraid of Latias, just make sure you EV it to take on Mega Aerodactyl.

Slowbro @ Leftovers / Waterium Z / Psychium Z
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Slack Off
- Psyshock
- Calm Mind / Thunder Wave

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 168 Def / 92 SpD
Bold Nature
- Spore
- Giga Drain
- Clear Smog
- Hidden Power Fire

Sharpedo-Mega @ Sharpedonite
Ability: Strong Jaw
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Crunch
- Psychic Fangs
- Waterfall
- Protect

Kyurem @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Earth Power

Really simple yet effective offensive core. AOA Specs Kyurem is an awesome breaker that weakens Steel- and Fairy-types such as Cobalion, Klefki, Scizor, Clefable, Forretress etc. early- to mid-game for Mega Shark to clean with Crunch late-game. The core fits better on more offensively inclined teams with partners such as Gengar, Alakazam, and Latias that appreciate the core's breaking potential while also alleviating the cores shared weakness to Fighting. Not much else too it, pretty simple and effective core o_o

So Imma drop some cores real quick,

Ebola (Alomomola) @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Def / 216 SpD
Bold Nature
- Toxic
- Wish
- Protect
- Knock Off / Scald

Smallpox (Amoonguss) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 168 Def / 92 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Spore
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Clear Smog / Sludge Bomb

Alomomola + Amoonguss, an infamous regen stall core which also has great synergy as Mola works as a wish passer which is really good for most teams as it can let pokemon without reliable recovery. Amoonguss is a good addition to a lot of teams as it checks Keldeo and many other water types while also checking Raikou which is nice for balance. This core is mostly used on stall but can also be used on balance and bulky offense. I don't think it is that useful on offense as Alomomola is just such a momentum sink. they also have good type synergy with Alomomola taking Ice and Fire type attacks aimed at Amoonguss while Amoonguss covers Alomomola Electric and Grass weakness.

Cancer (Blissey) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Heal Bell / Toxic
- Stealth Rock / Wish
- Soft-Boiled / Protect
- Seismic Toss

Ebola (Alomomola) @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Def / 216 SpD
Bold Nature
- Toxic
- Wish
- Protect
- Knock Off / Scald

AloBliss is a really nice core as they mostly cover Special and Physical attacks respectively with both of them functioning as WishPassers but Alomomola usually having it in this core. Blissey can also learn Stealth Rock which gives it good utility to the rest of the team. This core functions best on stall but also works on balance and even on a niche playstyle which is Blissey Offense, which works because blissey checks so much things aimed at many other pokemon on the team.

Bewear @ Choice Band
Ability: Fluffy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Hammer Arm
- Return
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch

Lucario @ Fightinium Z / Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe or 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature / Jolly Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 31 Atk
- Nasty Plot / Swords Dance
- Aura Sphere / Close Combat
- Flash Cannon / Bullet Punch / Iron Tail
- Dark Pulse / Extreme Speed

This core is a fightingspam core which aims at Bewear breaking all Lucario's checks for Lucario to sweep lategame. This core works really well with a Healing Wisher as it can let Lucario try sweeping again or Bewear breaking the opposing team even more. This core also has some defeensive utility as Bewear's ability Fluffy lets it tank most contact moves which makes it a good check to Bisharp and Scizor which are both extremely good in this meta.

Keldeo-Resolute @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 184 HP / 72 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Secret Sword
- Scald

Volcanion @ Grassium Z
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 40 HP / 252 SpA / 216 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Steam Eruption
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Solar Beam

A classic waterspam core which functions as Volcanion lures in bulky waters while also beating grass types which both check Keldeo. This core greatly benefits from a pursuit user as they can trap Latias which checks both of these pokemon. This core was mainly made to beat stall as with a pursuiter it usually does. When using this don't go for Z-Solar Beam first time their bulky water comes in as they might scout for it but second time you can do it as then they let their guard down.

Eject Button (Slowking) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 64 Def / 44 SpA / 68 SpD / 84 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Future Sight
- Scald
- Psyshock
- Fire Blast

Sheer Force (Conkeldurr) @ Choice Band
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 132 HP / 252 Atk / 124 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Hammer Arm
- Knock Off
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch

This core is a core I recently made using a pretty old archetype which is Future Sight + Fighting type, Future sight is really dangerous and usually makes someone switch in their dark type but when I have my Conkeldurr in they can't because they'll get bopped. The EV's on Slowking make it so it outspeeds uninvested base 40's while also killing max max SpDef Scizor after rocks with Fire Blast. 68 SpD evs lets it live 2 Moonblasts from Specs Primarina after rocks while i have max HP to maximize my bulk and then putting rest into Def. the Spe on Conkeldurr lets it outspeed base 60's uninvested.

Klefki @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Spikes
- Play Rough
- Toxic

Jellicent @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Hex
- Recover
- Will-O-Wisp

Spikestack Core

For the sake of nomenclature I would call this a balanced core, but the core is malleable enough to fit on anything from spike stack offense to a bulkier style of team. Obviously, Jellicent+Klefki have amazing type synergy together, but what also makes their partnership so effective is their ability to keep hazards up and create matchup advantages versus any type of playstyle. Klefki can spike stack and be painfully annoying towards HO teams because of Prankster. Jellicent works well to punish bulky teams and working with spikes only increases its effectiveness. Starmie and Tentacruel are both hazard removers that do well versus Klefki but get spinblocked by Jellicent.
Basically, the duo does a great job of setting and keeping spikes up while also checking large portions of the metagame.

Just gonna spam some nice cores...

Kyurem + Gliscor
Offensive Core
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 112 SpD / 152 Spe
Careful Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Knock Off / Facade
- Roost

Kyurem @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Sorry for the short description, but not much to say here... Many Kyurem checks are annoyed by Gliscor (such as Clefable, Scizor, Blissey, Latias, etc.) and vice versa (water types, Raikou, etc.)... This core is great for beating fat stuff...

Primarina + Keldeo
Offensive Core

Primarina @ Choice Specs
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Moonblast
- Psychic
- Hydro Pump

Keldeo @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hydro Pump
- Toxic

A water-spam core, weakening similar water checks, Primarina breaking mid-game and Keldeo cleaning late game and luring each others checks - Primarina luring Amoonguss with Psychic and Keldeo luring Slowking with Toxic.

Slowbro + Clefable
Balanced Core

Slowbro @ Waterium Z
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Psyshock
- Slack Off

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Knock Off / Flamethrower / Thunder Wave

Surprised nobody posted it yet... a great Calm Mind spam core... Clef is able to beat the entire metagame but Cobalion, Bisharp, Scizor (if lacking Flamethrower) and yeah.. basically steel types. Slowbro is here to take on Cobalion, Bisharp to an extent (with Waterium Z) and more of those steel types. Clefable also takes Bug and Dark type attacks for Slowbro.

Crawdaunt + Bisharp
Offensive Core

Crawdaunt @ Waterium Z / Life Orb
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Crabhammer
- Knock Off
- Aqua Jet
- Swords Dance

Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Swords Dance

A darkspam core that relies on Crawdaunt weakening Bisharp's checks. Crawdaunt nukes stuff that want to switch-in on Bisharp, mainly Cobalion and Keldeo, giving it a cleaner way of cleaning the opponent's team.

I have been trying stall lately so here are some nice and juicy blue stall cores with Nidoqueen:

Nidoqueen + Jellicent
Defensive Core

Nidoqueen @ Black Sludge
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 248 HP / 240 Def / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic Spikes
- Roar
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power

Jellicent @ Colbur Berry / Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Hex / Scald

This core is focused on hazards stacking. Nidoqueen gets up hazards against a large portion of the metagame - Clefable, Scizor, Raikou, etc. Jellicent not only blocks Rapid Spin for Nidoqueen's Toxic Spikes, it pressures most rapid spinners: non-Thunderbolt Starmie, Tentacruel and Forretress (Nidoqueen takes on the rare Tsareena) and most ground types, who threaten Nidoqueen. Nidoqueen, for exchange, takes electric type attacks for Jellicent. Pair this core with Forretress or Chesnaught to get a lot of hazards.

Nidoqueen + VinCune
Defensive Core

Nidoqueen @ Black Sludge
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 248 HP / 240 Def / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic Spikes
- Roar
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power

Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 40 SpD / 216 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Protect
- Substitute
- Scald

This core is focused on Toxic stalling and PP stalling. Nidoqueen + VinCune is a great core no one should laugh at. Suicune sets up a Substitute pretty easily against most rapid spinners: Tentacruel, Utility Starmie lacking Toxic and Forretress and proceed to PP stall pretty hardly. If Toxic Spikes are up and the opponent doesn't have a way of removing them, Suicune can literally stall out almost every non-levitating Pokémon. This core appreciates a cleric such as Clefable, Blissey, Umbreon, etc.

This thread's been a little inactive lately, so I'd like to go ahead and talk about what I've found to be an extremely effective offensive core in this metagame.

Terrakion + Magneton + Celebi
Terrakion @ Rockium Z
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Rock Polish
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat

Magneton @ Choice Specs
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Celebi @ Meadow Plate
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
- Giga Drain / Leaf Storm
- Psychic

Ever since its introduction into the tier, Terrakion has been an amazing Pokemon, since its Rockium Z set has extremely limited counterplay. The best checks to this set thus far seem to be bulky Steel-types like Forretress, Bronzong, and Doublade, as all have either the typing or bulk (or Sturdy in Forretress's case) to take a hit and KO Terrak in return with STAB. Luckily for Terrakion, that's where Magneton comes in. Bronzong, Forretress, and Doublade are all outsped and pretty much invalidated by Specs Magneton thanks to Magnet Pull, and upon removing these threats, Mag can allow Terrakion to sweep extremely easily. It also outspeeds and defeats Scizor, which with Bullet Punch, can also pose a huge threat to Terrakion, especially after Close Combat decreases its Defense. The Pokemon that really holds this core together is Celebi, which with its standard offensive Stealth Rock set, just offers so much for both Terrakion and Magnemite, who are otherwise decimated by Fighting- and Ground-types. Stealth Rock allows Terrakion to break past stuff like Gliscor and Suicune more easily, and U-turn lures in Scizor and allows Magnemite to take care of it shortly afterward. Giga Drain gives Celebi more longevity, which is really important for consistently checking the Fighting- and Ground-types that its teammates are so weak to, which is why I generally prefer it over Leaf Storm. Overall, this team has done wonders for me in that with the support of Celebi and Magneton, Terrakion is able to even further solidify its horrifying offensive prowess, and so far has in ripping teams apart once its few checks are gone. Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoy the core :)

Talonflame + Blastoise-Mega

Talonflame @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Roost / Flame Charge / Tailwind / U-Turn

Blastoise-Mega @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Mega Launcher
EVs: 60 HP / 252 SpA / 196 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Aura Sphere
- Dark Pulse
- Rapid Spin

This is a solid core of a physical attacker and a special attacker, where the mons each provide nice coverage for each other offensively. In addition, Blastoise-Mega removes hazards for Talonflame pretty reliably thanks to its great bulk and ability to deter spinblockers. Talonflame deals with grass types, also, while Blastoise soft checks Maero and other various mons that give Talon issues. Watch out for Raikou, of course.

Metagross + Keldeo

Metagross @ Assault Vest
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD (Or whatever metagross spread you want)
Adamant Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Pursuit
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Scald
- Icy Wind / Hidden Power Electric

This is a pretty simple core. Keldeo struggles with Latias, and Metagross pursuit traps Latias. Metagross struggles versus Scizor and Bisharp a bit, and Keldeo deals with those. It also forms a good water and steel combo which is really nice to have offensively and defensively right now.

Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spore
- Clear Smog
- Stun Spore
- Giga Drain
This is a very annoying defensive hazard core that is meant to take advantage of every turn possible. Hippowdon has a standard EV spread for taking on Scizor, Gliscor, Infernape, and Bisharp (to a certain extent). Klefki's EV spread and set is for taking on Krookodile, Hydreigon, etc. so it can set up hazards on as many threats as possible and Flash Cannon/Dazzling Gleam is so that it can deal damage without being passive; no toxic because of Amoonguss. Amoonguss is for Clefable, Keldeo, and Raikou. Amoonguss puts stuff to sleep and paralyzes swtich-ins while the other set up hazards then, Hippo whirls (paralysis and sleep helps this a lot so hippo doesnt have to take damage while doing this) the team around until it dies and then just send in a offensive threat to finish as their team will be heavily weakened in more ways than one. Hope you enjoy the replays (best I could get :/).

This is a defensive double wish core I've been working with that provides a nice blanket check to most mons in the tier. It's quite annoying to break and one of the few mons that can break it that come to mind is specs prima. But if clef gets to +1, it's going to be really hard for even prima to break through. Some calcs:

252 SpA Choice Specs Primarina Hydro Pump vs. +1 252 HP / 4 SpD Clefable: 192-226 (48.7 - 57.3%) -- 47.7% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
(can be PP stalled with wish+protect provided you were at full health)

252 SpA Choice Specs Primarina Moonblast vs. +1 252 HP / 4 SpD Clefable: 166-196 (42.1 - 49.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
Can't 2HKO now

With dual wish pass it gives you the option of playing more aggressively with ur wallbreaker. I originally started with clef+alo but needed a bish/coba/sciz check without having to rely on fishing(lol) for a burn with scald. I went with unaware CM clef as it makes a nice wincon that beats other bulky setup sweepers like slowbro/king, gliscor, reuniclus and even CM latias. This core would work well on stall but can all work on balance as well, provided it has some offensive presence behind it. A cleric would help a great deal as if clef or alo get statused it makes it much harder for them to check things. I went with the 176 speed jolly gliscor to creep nidoking which pressures this core heavily

This core has been helping me a lot when UU laddering, and features the new mega in the gen 7 meta, Mega Sceptile. This substitute set helps with its Timid Nature to outspeed Scarf Chandelure and speed ties with Mega Beedrill. Set up a sub to take a few extra hits unscathed and deal massive amounts to mons like Latias (252 SpA Sceptile-Mega Dragon Pulse vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Latias: 240-284 (79.7 - 94.3%) -- 50% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock) and others. A great partner is Nidoking, to handle the weaknesses of Mega Sceptile, such as the fairy type, and carries great coverage as well. If you have another Rocks setter like Gliscor, Flamethrower would be better, but if you don't, run Stealth Rocks. Banded Scizor is here to take care of the pair's major weaknesses, such as Mega Abomasnow, and other Ice types, as well as Primarina to an extent. Adding mons to this core such as Gliscor and Primarina will really take advantage of this core's potential.

Raidx

Banned deucer.
So I've been experimenting in the UU tier and i found that Kyurem+Entei form a neat offensive core. These 2 together hit the majority of the tier pretty hard as not many mons can switch in to them. Obviously they both share a Rocks weakness which can be detrimental, and they both sit in an eh speed tier, but with the right support these 2 mons together are a HUGE threat.

Kyurem @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Draco Meteor
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Earth Power

Entei @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sacred Fire
- Extreme Speed
- Flare Blitz
- Stone Edge

I personally believed Celebi to be a great teammate as it can absorb status and somewhat reliably deal with Primarina, as that mon is a huge fucking threat . Not a top tier core by any means, but don`t sleep on these two as they WILL ruin your day ;). Feel free to post your thoughts since im always down for some advice and such.

Seeing as we have a whole bunch of new drops I´ll go ahead and post a few things I´ve been playing around with:

Tornadus + Mega Swampert

Tornadus @ Damp Rock
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Rain Dance
- Hurricane
- Taunt
- Focus Blast

Swampert-Mega @ Swampertite
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake
- Rain Dance

Definitely not the pinnacle of innovation, but this offensive core has pretty much been a staple for several gens now: M-pert is really devastating in the rain and only few mons can actually take a hit reliably. Due to prankster tornadus can set up rain for pert and doesnt even have to worry about potential taunt users. On top of that it synergises pretty well with pert typewise, seeing as it can take on the bulky grass types that usually trouble mpert, while pert can switch into common answers to torn like maero or even electric types to some extent. Really solid starting point for any rain team.

Beedrill-Mega @ Beedrillite
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Poison Jab
- Drill Run

Klefki @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder Wave
- Spikes
- Flash Cannon
- Foul Play

couldn't find the mega sprite lmao
this is not that innovative of a core, but a pretty effective one. Mega beedrill will often be used on Volt turn teams or just teams that like generating momentum and forcing switches. Spikes obviously punish switches, and klefki might just be the best setter in the tier atm. It also serves as a great check to mega aero, and can do an even greater job if u switch out foul play or flash cannon for magnet rise. Max def to better check mega aero and other various physical attackers. great teammates include a spinner and a rocker for hazard control lol

BlissWole Core

+

This is arguably the strongest defensive core in the game right now, and can wall around 80-90% of Pokemon in UU. It is reminiscent of the infamous SkarmBliss Core, where one Pokemon soaks up all the Special Attacks, and the other handles all the Physical Attacks. Many teams you encounter, especially on lower ladder, will generally be unable to break this core.

There are counters to this core of course, such as Infernape, Hawlucha, Darmanitan, Entei, Crobat etc. so it would be best for the rest of your team to be able to handle those threats. Here is a sample set to get you started, but you are welcome to experiment with your own.
Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Seismic Toss
- Wish
- Protect
- Toxic

Buzzwole @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 248 Def / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Hammer Arm
- Bulk Up
- Roost
- Lunge

IT'S FINK DUMBASS
Hawlucha + Infernape (Offensive Core)
+

I found that this offensive core essentially beats 85-90% of UU's Pokemon. Hawlucha covers most of the tier, and the Pokemon that it doesn't, Infernape does. For example, Pokemon like Doublade, Mandibuzz, and Whimsicott, Hawlucha has trouble against. Infernape can fire move the Doublade, Overheat the Mandibuzz, (Fire Blast could work as well, but you'd have to land three in a row.) then you can stone edge and either crit, or you can have rocks up. Whimsicott takes this fire move. Chandelure could pose a threat to the core, but it depends on your Infernape set and the set of the Chandelure. if the Chandy is scarf (which I can assure you it's not), you're pretty much screwed unless you can catch it on the switch in with a stone edge from Infernape. If Chandy is specs, Infernape covers it as a check. SubCM Chandy screws you over too if it gets behind a sub, so you might want something for that.

Things you might need to support this core:

Stealth Rocker: A stealth rock user isn't 1000% necessary but like any team it's nice to have one to do some chip damage as well as makes match ups against some Pokemon easier like the aforementioned Mandibuzz. Some recommended rockers are Mamoswine, Nidoqueen, and Swampert, as all four of them are currently very good rockers as well as can help against Chandy which is one of the biggest threats to this core.

Hazard Removal (Spinner Preferably): Hazard removal would be great for this core as Infernape will probably be switching out a bit so taking extra chip would suck (as it does in general). Tentacruel is a good one as again, beats Chandy, thought it doesn't spin on it, it spins on anything that isn't a ghost and isn't a Raikou. Also Scald is cool, helps against other physical attackers, other general stuff. Tspikes too if you're into that.

Mega Pokemon (Obviously): This one sounds obvious but it's not like you can choose any option. Mega Aerodactyl would work the best with this core as it takes care of some of the threats to it, like Chandy (much lamp, such flames), as well as Mandibuzz if you're just not landing Fire Blasts and Stone Edges. Mega Pert is a good one if you don't feel that Mega Aerodactyl fits on your team; M Pert is a cool rocker as well as powerful too.

So that's basically it. Unfortunately this wasn't very well thought out because I suck with words but the concept is there so enjoy! Here's the general sets you'd want to use with this core:

Hawlucha @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Substitute
- High Jump Kick
- Acrobatics

Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 168 Atk / 88 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Overheat
- Close Combat
- Grass Knot
- Stone Edge

EDIT: Shoutout to the UU room for helping me with this lol.
