[UU WarStory] ALWAYS Down By a Close Margin...

Hello, this is my second WarStory that I'm making. I just thought it is quite interesting because the number of close margins in this game was like over 9000 but whatever... All in all, end up being a fun match that I saved the log for. Enjoy; feel free to give feedbacks, just no flaming please. Thank you.

Just as a previous notice, since I do not have WarMachine or whatever that program is called, I am just going to post the raw log, but of course, with commentaries. The Nicknames are kept since it'll take ages to get rid of them, so I'm just going to post them up here.

All commentaries will be in CERULEAN. All battle logs will be in BLACK. All battle updates will be in SCARLET. All in game talks will be in BROWN.

I was thinking, crap, Ghost type start... Mismagius. I can't abuse my Ambipom's Fake Out, so I switched. Since I was afraid of a Will-o-wisp, I switched to my Fire type, who can take it very well.

...Went for another Calm Mind. I am guessing that he was predicting a switch, but I wasn't going to. There wasn't any reason for doing so, especially when I have my Calm Mind in already, so I just kept Calm Minding, hoping to see a pattern and find a perfect time to predict a turn where he wouldn't use Destiny Bond and I will just do so...

I was just like whatever, and went for a Fire Blast, and of course, the only little benefactor from a paralysis, to paralyze me from attacking on the turn of Destiny Bond...................... Did not happen. SUCKS.

From what would be "taking-the-lead", I fall down to blah, dead. But oh well, as long as Mismagius was down too. Getting rid of that Ghost type was a good thing for AppleMaru (Ambipom) since now, hoping that he doesn't have another Ghosty, I can Fake Out a bit.

This Fake Out not only did a great deal of damage, but also I see that it is probably a ResTalker set, since it doesn't have a Toxic Orb for Quick Feet. And since I'm faster, I went on attacking, hoping to kill it.

It was left with something like 7% or 8%, taking account for the Leftover heals. Kids, remember to eat your fruits! One apple (leftover apple?) a day keeps the fricken opponent from killing you, resulting in the death of your opponent (in this case, unfortunately, *deep sigh*, me).

I didn't want to use Super Effective Close Combat since it only has like nearly death HP, plus it has low PP and lowers my defenses, so I just used STAB Psycho Cut, as that's already overkill of whatever he has left of his HP.

Sitting Bull was the first "close margin"... Had I delt 1% more damage on from Ambipom, that stupid thing would be dead. O well.

Right here he sends out Wooduccio, a Claydol. Since Gallade doesn't have Night Slash, it couldn't do jack shit to Claydol, so I switched to SirThanh, my Spiritomb, as I had nothing better to switch into that thing. He laid down his Rocks. I really could care less now that Entei is dead. Nothing else on my team is weak to Stealth Rock, which was a good thing.

I call this MusterTomb :D. It has Calm Mind to deal with Special Attacks, Will-o-wisp to deal with Physical attackers, STAB Shadow Ball to benefit from Calm Minds, and HP Fighting covers whatever that isn't covered by Shadow Ball, and this ensures that EVERY POKEMON in this game is hit at least Neutral by at least 1 of the attacks. MusterTomb works well on my team. He switches to Annie Oakley (Magmortar). I didn't know what's coming, but I did predict a switch since I have SE STAB Shadow Ball to hit Claydol with, and Claydols can't do shit back so I figured that he'd switch. I just pulled a CM just to be safe.

Another close call. Although Spiritomb took down Magmortar, it didn't live with that much HP itself. Thanks goodness he wasn't burnt. I wasn't so sure since I DID get paralyzed from the first Thunderbolt earlier ya know...

He's done a good job keeping the game close. I finally took a lead, but not even a turn, I lost it. Spiritomb had nothing against Azumarill. I couldn't do anything to it either, nor could I switch to anything safely.

Here I sent in nicolecwh (Lanturn) since it has STAB Thunderbolt to hit Azumarill with and resists both Ice and Water moves. I wasn't sure what else he had, but I was sure enough that Aqua Jet cannot kill me and my Thunderbolt can rip it quite well. Lanturn wasn't EV'd in Defense though (used as a special sponge) so I didn't want to waste HP on this thing earlier, plus, Spiritomb would be weak enough anyway, and switching out and back in, taking more Stealth Rock damage wouldn't do it any good, so I didn't switch earlier. Anyways, now that last turn he switched to Vileplume, which is a great choice. I can't really stay in since Vileplume probably can take a full hit of Ice Beam and kill me with STAB Grass moves SE, so I switched to my counter for Grasses...

Phew, inaccurate moves serve you right (although Sleep Powder isn't really THAT inaccurate; same as Will-o-wisp). I Thunder Waved it since I can't poison it, and my burner's dead, and I don't really have much other choices so that was safest bet.

Aww, he healed. I planned on just Iron Heading it down to 0 or until I sleep since there wasn't much of a better choice. I didn't want to switch to Gallade and having Sleep Powder used on him, then I'd really lose. Same with Lanturn... (well actually, why would I want to switch to Lanturn at all?)

I guess we have the same speed! Winning the speed tie here was really crucial, but then again, he did win speed tie with me earlier during the turn where his Sleep Powder missed so I guess we're even.

This paralysis was great, although Bankai now is very frail, so I didn't want to risk it getting hit by another Aqua Jet and die, since I have what? Like 18% HP left on Bankai?

Another close margin: Azzurra had 3% left of its HP. :(

Aqua Jet probably would kill Entei earlier, but if not, I did have HP Grass to hit him back and kill him guarenteed after 2 Calm Minds. It was all good though.

Had Azumarill hit nicolecwh one more time earlier, I couldn't take 2 Earth Power (STAB) from Claydol, and it would be death for me for sure. Even this, due to his fricken Leftovers again, it left a close margin with Claydol only having 9 or 10% after the 2 Surfs. nicolecwh fainted.

Here actually NONE of my moves would hit Super Effective on Claydol. Sword Dance is just suicide with 13% HP left. Psycho Cut and Close Combat were viable since ThunderPunch would do a maximum of 0 damage! (lol)

So of course, I choose the strongest attack I have, and that worked enough to kill his Claydol.
