hello uu players, some cool stuff is happening, let's start with the boring ones first:
1. the council has been revamped! there are a few new faces and one old face that has come back. check out the new council in the tiering info thread!
2. there are also various new rules for the council which should make things a bit more transparent and easier for the public to understand. one of them is that the council will be forced to meet a hard deadline with their vote submission and then we'll give the public a two day suspect-less window to discuss the votes posted in the records thread. discussion will take place in the np thread.
3. another is that all council members must be active in a brand new IRC channel called #uucouncil in which real-time discussions and battles meant to better understand suspects will take place. the channel will be public, so anyone can join, but you'll only be able to talk in it if you have voice. you may also be kicked without warning if there is something the council wants to discuss in private, so don't be surprised if it happens and just join again later! you may also be personally invited to join the council in order to participate in the council battles, be warned though, those are probably us testing you to see if you could potentially join us!
some cooler stuff now:
4. in the past, a majority +1 UU vote (which translates to 8/12) was needed to get a pokemon back into UU. from now on it will only need a majority. this means a 6-6 vote will keep the suspect BL but a 7 UU vote will keep it UU. this does not mean that klefki will retroactively join uu right now, however...
5. we have decided we'll be letting some of the current BLs re-enter the tier alongside the ORAS release, as the power increase is likely to balance them out. at the moment the only two we're sure will drop are klefki and staraptor (magnezone would have as well but it is/will be OU, so there's no point). do not suggest stuff to us here, this is a matter for the council to decide. i will delete your post and infract you if you do.
