I'm sure iimk will post the pokemon info when he refs. Still, I'll pick the pokemon that has beaten a Nohface before: Ursula the Frillish.

Ursula, start with a Confuse Ray followed by an Acid Armor, then finish the round with a Scald. If for any reason you can't use Acid Armor for the second action, use Surf instead.

So that's Confuse Ray - Acid Armor - Scald
or if Acid Armor can't be used, Confuse Ray - Surf - Scald

    I'm clearly an idiot.new post:

Confuse Ray uses light to confuse, right? So Jyuu, you can beat this by just closing your eyes on the first action! Follow that up with a Taunt after he Acid Armors, and finish this round off with a Yawn! However, if scald burns, use Psycho Shift instead.

    Close eyes - taunt - yawn/psycho shift

Welcome to METAL PLATFORM (thank Venser for that one), where myself and Banquo the Kitsunoh will be commentating on a pokemon battle of epic proportions. A 1v1 singles match between two up and coming trainers, Venser and Objection on what is both the dullest and the shiniest arena yet seen in the realms of ASB.

It looks like Venser is sending out his Nohface Jyuu. Banquo certainly seems pleased to see one of his younger brethren on the battlefield, and Objection responds with his female Frillish, Ursula. "NO BANQUO, SHE ISN'T A SNACK" Apparently Kitsunoh recognises Ursula from somewhere before...

    Type: Steel / Ghost

Steel: Steel STAB; Immune to Sandstorm, highly insusceptible to toxic attacks, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Bomb, can be magnetized.
Ghost: Ghost STAB; brief intangibility that nullifies Normal and Fighting-type attacks, Pain Split, Psychic, Sucker Punch, Telekinesis, Trick, and Will-o-Wisp have Energy Cost reduced by one (1). (Gengar line and pure Ghosts only: moving through walls.)

Cursed Body: (Innate) When this Pokemon is struck by an opponent's attack that makes contact, there is a 30% chance that attack will be disabled. Only one of the opponent's attacks can be disabled at a time due to Cursed Body.

And it appears that Objection has the faster pokemon this battle, and is able to start things off with a Confuse Ray from Ursula. Jyuu tries to close his eyes, but is sadly too slow and is intensely confused. Ursula then steels herself, using Acid Armor to bolster her defensive prowess, raising the stat by 2. The now confused Nohface is able to get past its confusion momentarily in order to taunt the jellyfish, saying she isn't a real ghost type. How rude. Making fun of a lady. Ursula responds with a scorching hot Scald, and Banquo reels back in horror, seeing its cousin seared so. Venser orders a Yawn, but Jyuu misinterprets its trainer's commands as 'slam your face into the floor', hitting itself in confusion.

That Taunt probably completely messed it up, so let's do this! Start off by Yawning at him, so that we'll have some breathing room later. Then, Faint Attack. Finish the round by using Will-O-Wisp! However, if he used Scald and it burned, use Psycho Shift instead.

    Yawn - Faint Attack - Will-o-Wisp / Pyscho Shift

Let's keep it simple: Shadow Ball then Water Pulse, and then if that Water Pulse confused him, Shadow Ball. If not, then Water Pulse again.

Shadow Ball - Water Pulse - Shadow Ball/Water Pulse

And we're back, for another round of 1v1 goodness. After last round, Ursula was taunted, but had the higher HP. We'll see what happens in the next round, as Objection's Frillish starts things off with a ghostly Shadow Ball, straight into Jyuu, who is able to fight past the confusion with an aggressive, manly Yawn, and it looks like Ursula is very sleepy... "No Banquo, don't you fall asleep as well!" Still awake, Ursula targets the now-sane Jyuu with a Water Pulse, drenching the poor snake-worm-larva, who responds with a Faint Attack, striking the jellyfish square in the jelly. Ursula uses another Water Pulse, still not confusing the Nohface, who ends the round with a Will-O-Wisp, burning Ursula.

OK, start with another Shadow Ball before going to sleep, and then if you wake up after one action, use Acid Armor unless you get taunted again while you're asleep, in which case use Water Pulse.

I often find the most difficult part of reffing is the introduction. Hi, I'm MK.

Objection's faster Frillish is able to start things off with another conjuring trick, creating a swirling ball of gloom and hurling it at Jyuu, who retaliates by disappearing before reappearing behind Frillish to deliver a crushing Faint Attack to the jellymon. Ursula tries to repeat the move, but her drowsiness is unbecoming of a lady, and she simply must rest. Jyuu takes the opportunity to kick Usula when she's down with another Faint Attack, and Banquo doesn't like that; apparently it isn't gentlemanly to attack a sleeping woman - who'd a thunk it? Just like that however, Ursula wakes up after just one action and bolsters her defences with another Acid Armor, while Jyuu ends the round taunting her about her silly frilly collar, met by Banquo's disapproving glare.

And we're back, for what is most likely the final round in this thus-far thrilling battle. We've got Ursula the Frillish bearing down on Jyuu the Nohface, and Ursula starts things off with yet another Shadow Ball slamming into the ghost-type and depleting yet more of its precious life force, as Jyuu responds with a Yawn. Ursula doesn't let up, conjuring another shadowy sphere and hurling it at Jyuu, this time critically hitting the Nohface, who disappears with another Faint Attack, but what's this? The move is disabled by Ursula's Cursed Body ability, who swoops in for the kill with a final Shadow Ball, knocking Jyuu out.
