    With the rules out, let's take a look at each player's team this match!

    Abilities:
    Plus (Innate): This Pokemon possesses a positive electrical charge, when a partner Pokemon with Plus or Minus is on the field, this Pokemon’s special attacks increase their Base Attack Power by two (2). If this Pokemon also has Minus, the boost stacks. A Pokemon can get a maximum of two boosts between Plus and Minus.
    Minus (Innate): This Pokemon possesses a negative electrical charge, when a partner Pokemon with Plus or Minus is on the field, this Pokemon’s special attacks increase their Base Attack Power by two (2). If this Pokemon also has Plus, the boost stacks. A Pokemon can get a maximum of two boosts between Plus and Minus.
    Clear Body (DW) (Innate) [LOCKED]: This Pokemon’s body structure makes it immune to status lowering moves used by opponents. (e.g. Intimidate, Growl, Screech etc.)

    Dark: Dark STAB; immunity to all telepathic and telekinetic attacks, better performance in all darkened and especially twilight conditions. Can use any Dark-type attack regardless of Attraction.

    Abilities
    Intimidate: (Can be Activated) When this Pokemon initially goes out into the battlefield, it generates an intimidating roar or war cry that shakes all opponents on the battlefield, reducing their Attack stage by one (1). The attack drop is maintained at the end of each round. If an opponent switches in a new Pokemon, Intimidate can be activated again as an Action, and will affect all opponents.
    Moxie: (Innate) This Pokemon gets psyched after it earns a KO on an opposing Pokemon, increasing its attack by one (1) stage. This boost is maintained at the end of each round.
    Anger Point (DW Locked): (Innate) When struck with a critical hit, this Pokemon becomes enraged and its Attack rises to maximum (Stage 6). However, its Attack will drop up to two (2) stages at the end of each round instead of one (1) stage until it reaches stage zero (0).

    BEGIN ROUND ONE

    Sobek begins by ensnaring Shift in a wily vortex of swirling sands, steadily chipping away at metallic exterior of the gears. Shift opts not to retaliate straightaway, locking its gear mechanisms in place so as to prevent the inner workings from getting damaged from the sand; it also makes Shift's gear structure more efficient, raising its Speed and Attack! Suddenly faster, Shift dashes forward and strikes Sobek hard, dealing some sizable damage. Sobek turns around and kicks some mud clumps up at Shift, making it harder to see! Unphased, Shift dashes forward once more and strikes Sobek with its own gears, even landing one critical hit! Sobek doesn't seem too be extremely injured, though, as it coats its fangs with a fiery substance before chomping down on the metallic exterior.

    Sobek, quite confident that he has victory assured, goes in for another chomp, roasting Shift's exterior with heated flames. Shift goes in for a last-ditch move though, using his bond with VFXCross to add extra power to his gear grinding, which deals a massive blow and manages to barely knock Sobek out! It seems that Shift has pulled quite an upset!
