    [Overview]

    • Great defenses.
    • Decent offenses.
    • Decent move pool.
    • Versatile.

    [SET]
    name: Choice Scarf
    move 1: Brave Bird
    move 2: U-turn
    move 3: Punishment / Payback
    move 4: Pluck
    item: Choice Scarf
    ability: Pigeon Heart / Dust-proof
    nature: Adamant
    evs: 236 Atk / 76 SpD / 196 Spe

    Set Description:

    • Brave Bird does a fair amount of damage.
    • U-turn lets Baruchai scout and dent its counters.
    • Punishment makes Baruchai a great revenge killer, and Payback hits things hard on the switch.
    • Pluck hits things and takes their Berry. It also doesn't cause recoil.
    Additional Comments:

    • Nothing much. Knock off can be used.
    • Hidden Power Fighting OHKOes Komatana.
    Teammates and Counters:

    • Steel-types wall it.
    • Magnemite beats them quite easily. Diglett does as well.
    • Anything that has trouble switching into Ghost-types since Baruchai covers for them.
    [SET]
    name: Defensive
    move 1: Knock Off
move 2: Pluck / Brave Bird
    move 3: Roost
    move 4: Taunt
    item: Evolution Stone
    ability: Pigeon Heart / Dust-proof
    nature: Impish
    evs: 36 HP / 236 Def / 236 SpD

    Set Description:

    • Great defensive stats make it tough to take out.
    • Knock Off makes a lot of Pokemon lose their usefulness.
    • Roost keeps Baruchai alive.
    • Taunt stops Pokemon such as Komatana from setting up.
    Additional Comments:

    • Nothing much. U-turn can be used.
    • Hidden Power Fighting OHKOes Komatana.
    Teammates and Counters:

    • Steel-types can beat it easily.
    • Magnemite beats them quite easily. Diglett does as well.
    • Anything that has trouble switching into Ghost-types since Baruchai covers for them.
    • It stops Psychic- and Dark-types as well.
    [SET]
    name: Staller
    move 1: Substitute
    move 2: Toxic
    move 3: Roost
    move 4: Pluck
    item: Evolution Stone
    ability: Pigeon Heart / Dust-proof
    nature: Jolly
    evs: 196 HP / 76 Def / 196 Spe

    Set Description:

    • Fast, making Substitute stalling quite effective.
    • Somewhat hard to break its Substitutes.
    • Roost keeps it alive as Toxic stalls them out.
    • Pluck takes the odd boosting Berry and gets those last hits.
    Additional Comments:

    • Hidden Power Fighting OHKOes Komatana.
    Teammates and Counters:

    • Steel-types wall it.
    • Magnemite beats them quite easily. Diglett does as well.
    • Anything that has trouble switching into Ghost-types since Baruchai covers for them.
    [Optional Changes]

    • Can run Nasty Plot, but it's slightly too weak.
    • Mean Look, Taunt, and Toxic can make a good trapping set, but it's very situational.
    [Team Options]

    • Steel-types are annoying for Baruchai, meaning Magnemite and Diglett are great partners.
    • Anything that resists Electric-, Rock-, and Ice-type attacks is helpful, so Water-types and Ground-types are useful.
    [Counters]

    • Steel-types resist its STABs and are immune to Toxic.
    • Poison-types are also immune to Toxic.
