nibbler491 switched in Swampert (lvl 100 Swampert ?).
Machamp used Thunderpunch.
It doesn't affect Swampert...
---

Luckily my tutor had just talked to me about the ScarfChamp lead. Even if it wasn't scarfed, it would be too risky to stay in. Swampert takes the thunderpunch with ease.

---

I go back to the snoozing Skarm to take whatever Celebi can throw at it, but he outpredicts me, and sends in Lucario. Now I'm scared. This guy is the centerpiece of my team, and I know the damage he can do...especially when you give him a free turn to set up because you're asleep.

And he does!! Lucario for the win!!
1-0

Props:
  • Gyarados for stopping the Lucario Sleep
  • Swampert for Roaring stuff and being a beast in general
  • Lucario for surviving that Shadow ball and Killing Gengar
Slops:
  • Heracross for doing nothing
  • Skarm for sleeping the entire time

Finding out that his Gengar was scarfed proved to be vital to my win. One of the best matches I've ever had.

Thoughts? Criticism?

All is welcomed.

Lol, that was my friend IRL that was using my scarfchamp team I told him about.

You did very well, Nibbler, sure was a great game.

Skarm may have slept the entire game, but both the single layer of spikes and ESPECIALLY the forcing Gengar into another Tbolt at the end, which let Nidoking finish Lucario was really what sealed the deal. Great use of shuffling with Swampert, Scarf forcing, and Intimidate.

I know you weren't talking about me for the scarfchomp thing, but it makes me happy to see a past tutee succeed. =)

Overall, it was a great match. I especially liked the use of Nidoking. One thing though. There was a lot of spikes/SR damage in there, and it got kinda cluttered. Omit that and leftovers recovery?

I would take out lefties but leave in the spikes damage, being so crucial to the match and all.

Great warstory dude. Constantly locking Gengar in T-bolt is awesome, and stalling with EQ for lefties on Swampert was pure gold.

He predicted a switch when he EQ'd my Gengar as he knew it was Scarfed, I predicted a Roar, hence I stayed in. I wouldn't say he was purposely just trying to gain HP or he would have Roared.

Yeah, you had to switch.

My point was that I could just sit there all day EQing while you T-bolted and I would gain HP while you gained nothing, so there was no reason to roar.

excellent match, very well played by both sides. Both of you made some good predictions, and it was a fun read.

This is fucking win! I am glad my tutoring paid off Nibbler :)

I am glad Shadowhawk(Cody IRL) played with my team very skillfully.
Good job, guys.

Non-scarfGar still outspeeds a 1DD'd BulkyDos, though, which doesn't really give away if he has a scarf or not..aside from that, this was a great battle
