Just another day in the ASB Arena, with competitors Waterwarrior and MK Ultra facing off against each other, and I, P2X7, shall be your ref. Waterwarrior begins by sending out Kippy-Swampert, while MK Ultra retaliates by sending out Orion-Hydreigon. Hydreigon starts off by firing a Pulse of Dark energy at Swampert, but Swampert stays calm and sends an Avalanche of ice crashing down onto Hydreigon, heavily wounding it. Angered, Hydreigon shakes itself off and launches another Pulse, this one imbued with power of Dragons, at Swampert, but it doesn't seem fazed by this and Kicks Hydreigon in a Low area, causing the mighty hydra to falter momentarily. Hydreigon manages to recover in time to fire one last Pulse at Swampert, and the utter Darkness this one is made of causes Swampert to recoil in shock and forget what it was supposed to do, saving Hydreigon from another icy assault.
Action 1:
Hydreigon used Dark Pulse

If Evasive Move and not taunted, Stealth Rock

Well, yes and no. Yes because Weavile is still a BAMF. No because he's more expendable than Kippy. FIGHT DOVAHKIIN FIGHT!

Dig -> Fake Out -> Dig

Yaaaaaay dickish plays!

At this point, both trainers withdraw their Pokemon in favor of fresh ones, Waterwarrior choosing Dovahkiin-Weavile, and MK Ultra choosing Chimera-Infernape. Infernape leaps at Weavile, attempting to engage it in Close Combat, but the crafty weasel....thing Digs underground and avoids the attack, then pops up behind Infernape and rakes it with its claws. Infernape then tries to attack once again, but Weavile is too fast for it and strikes with amazing speed, Faking Out Infernape before it even has a chance to take a step. Infernape then attempts to get in Close to better Combat its foe, but Weavile simply Digs another hole to avoid the attack, then emerges and delivers a powerful uppercut to Infernape, who staggers back, worn down by its own reckless fighting style.
Action 1:
Note: I am using the rule that stat drops apply even if you miss. If I am wrong, let me know and I will fix it.
Weavile dug a hole underground

Infernape used Close Combat
Missed
Infernape's Defense fell (-1 Def)
Infernape's Special Defense fell (-1 Sp.Def)

Now comes the tough part... But damn it Dovahkiin, I know you can do it!

Dig -> Aerial Ace -> Dig
If damaging Fighting-type combo, change that action to Protect and push back
If Endure, change that action to Toxic and push back

There are probably like 5 loopholes in this, aren't there?

I've seen that substitution used countless times. Now, I might be wrong, but with that in mind, I present to you the following round.

Pre-round:

Weavile [Dovahkiin] (M)
HP
: 100
Energy: 76
Stats: 6/3/1/3/125
Abilities: Pressure / Pickpocket

Weavile crafts a Protective barrier to defend against its foe's attempt to engage in Close Combat, then Digs underground to avoid..... Nothing, as Infernape has to cool down. Weavile attacks it anyway, though, then Protects itself from its foe's fearsome Combat skills as Infernape attacks at Mach speed, although both combatants are starting to get tired.
Action 1:
Weavile used Protect

Infernape used Mortal Combat
[to crit <625] 7531 no
[(27 + 3 + 7.5 - 4.5) * 2.25] = 74.25 damage blocked
Infernape's Defense harshly fell (-2 Def)
Infernape's Special Defense harshly fell (-2 Sp.Def)
-31.5 energy

-36.7 energy (Weavile)

Action 2:
Weavile dug underground

Infernape must cool down

Weavile used Dig
[to crit <625] 8332 no
{[(8 + 8.5 - 3) * 1.5] + 4} = 27.25 damage
-10 energy

Action 3:
Weavile used Protect

Infernape used Hyperspeed Assault
[to crit <625] 7107 no
[(14 + 3 + 7.5 - 4.5) *2.25] = 45 damage blocked
Infernape's Defense fell (-1 Def)
Infernape's Special Defense fell (-1 Sp.Def)
-15 energy

-25 energy (Weavile)

I forfeit, this is utterly stupid.
Wait, before you forfeit, I just realized that I miscalculated and was looking at energy spent instead of damage prevented for how much energy Protect costs. I have fixed the reffing, but this is fairly important information, so I thought I should give you the chance to react to this / maybe not forfeit before I end the match if you still want to forfeit.

Thanks, but I stick by my decision.
