Welcome to another battle in the renowned ASB Tournament Arena! We have a battle between a fairly new member, Blazikenmaster-Zeo, and a grizzly old veteran, Alchemator! Zeo kicks the battle off, by sending out Fafnir the Shelgon. Alchemator weighs his options and decides to send out Christopher the Metang. Chris appears in a flash of bright light, but rather than subsiding, the light grows stronger and stronger, forcing everyone to shield their eyes. When the light finally subsides, everyone can see that Christopher has evolved into a Metagross! Now the real action can begin.

Chris starts by charging its fist with a mystical power, then it charges in to punch Fafnir. It seems Chris didn't have its Wheaties in the morning, and missed its Meteor Mash! Fafnir takes this opportunity to Focus all of his Energy, as he prepares to begin his assault. Chris' head begins to glow with energy, and it quickly turns around and smashes Fafnir with a nasty (Zen) Headbutt. It seems the force was enough to make Fafnir flinch.

Chris then tries once more to hit Fafnir with a Meteor Mash. This time it connects, sending the Shelgon reeling backwards. Shelgon then retaliates by burying Chris underneath a Rock Slide, but its Steel skin allows it to escape with only a minor scratch. Chris is still looking fresh, while Fafnir is already showing signs of fatigue. Let's see what impact this has on the rest of the battle.

    Calcs (open)

    Evolution = [20 Energy]
    Meteor Mash - Miss = [6 Energy]
    Focus Energy = [5 Energy]

    Zen Headbutt - 8+3+(5-3)x1.5+(6-5)x1 = [15 Damage] [5 Energy]

    Meteor Mash - 10+3+(5-3)x1.5+(6-5)x1 = [17 Damage] [6 Energy]
    Rock Slide - [8+(3-5)x1.5]x0.67 = [3 Damage] [6 Energy]

Chris becomes charged with a Zen-like energy, and charges towards Fafnir, smashing into him with a powerful Headbutt. Fafnir was able to keep his composure this time, as he launches a Flamethrower at Chris, scorching the Metagross.

Christopher responds by charging its fist with a cosmic energy, and punches Fafnir. Chris manages to contain some of the energy from its Meteor Mash, and has its Attack boosted. Fafnir wastes no time retaliating, and blasts Chris with a powerful Hydro Pump.

Chris keeps the pressure on Fafnir, and he smashes into him with another Zen Headbutt. Fafnir gets sent sprawling backwards, but quickly jumps back to his feet and blasts Chris with another Flamethrower. The two Pokemon ready themselves again, as they await their trainer's orders.

Blazer appears in a flash of light, ready to battle. And since his trainer doesn't specify what ability he will be using, the RNG chose Blaze (how fitting). Blazer starts by launching a Flamethrower, right at Chris. Chris takes the hit like a champ and retaliates with a powerful Zen Headbutt.

Blazer's leg then erupts in a vicious Blaze, as he Kicks Chris, sending it flying backwards. Chris knows that its time is near, and he rushes in and delivers another powerful blow with a Zen Headbutt. Seeing that his foe is near its end, Blazer attacks with one last Flamethrower, melting Chris down for new parts.

Steve spins into action and is ready to avenge its fallen comrade. It starts the round by blasting Blazer with a powerful Hydro Pump. The dowsed Blazer now begins to (Swords) Dance around. I guess the impact from the last attack has made him loopy.

Steve begins to Dance itself now. WE'VE GOT OURSELVES A DANCE PARTAY!!!! The two finally seem tired out by all the dancing, just as it begins to Rain, dampening the field. Blazer's fist then begins to spark with electricity, as he charges in and Punches Steve and a crack of Thunder erupts through the sky. Steve gets sent flying back, but it able to quickly recover and launch another Hydro Pump at Blazer, taking the chicken's head off.

Cloudy hops into the field, ready to zap Steve into the abyss. Steve doesn't give Cloudy any chance to adjust, as it blasts her with an Aurora Beam. Cloudy shrugs off the frigid blast, and begins to spark with electricity as she becomes Charged up. All this electricity looks like a safety hazard in this rain.

Steve then decides to dowse Cloudy with a wave of Scalding water. Although it seems to burn Cloudy, Steve should have known that shooting water at a charged Pokemon is a bad idea. Electricty then travels through the water, right back to Steve, and (Thunder) Shocks it badly.

Now learning from its mistake, Steve fires another Aurora Beam at the Monohm, who takes less damage than before, thanks to her charge. Cloudy retaliates with a ThunderShock, hurling a small lightning bolt at Steve.

Hi! Bumping this for a day, and if Zeo doesn't order then he'll be DQ'd.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to say that I'll be away from Monday to Friday, likely only being able to post on the following Saturday. I may be able to post while I'm away, but I'm not sure, so I'm laying this out now. Please don't DQ me ;D
