Arena: Aperture Science Mk. II

Every pokemon carries a portal gun. For 3 energy, the pokemon can fire either a yellow or a blue portal. Keep in mind that it takes one action to shoot one portal, so the first time you want to teleport something from place to place, you'll effectively need two actions.
Also, there are only two portals total for all of the pokemon as the portal guns are all on the same frequency :3 (therefore if you choose to shoot a yellow portal, and there is already one out, the yellow portal is moved)

Also, if the ref determines you come into range of one of the turrets, you take a 3 base power multihit Steel-type attack from Rank 3 Attack. (Refs should treat this as a Steel-type Icicle Spear, basically) The turrets do get STAB. Each turret has 40 base health btw (they are in the positions in the screenshot) but if you knock one over it becomes ineffective anyways. No move restriction, but no water supply.

PS: You starts in the big Red button!

Round 1 Begin!

Lumber-Throwing Rodent, the instigator of this match, ponders which Sentient Elemental Creatures he will use, giving Vacation Documenting File enough time to go eat a piece of black forest cake. Upon returning, he notices that there are two creatures that have appeared on the field: a Subterranean Draconic Shark named Artful Dodger, and a Malevolent Gaseous Specter known as Ivan the Spherical. Vacation Documenting File promptly releases his Ionized Cloudlike Hydra and his Burrowing Soricine Excavator, named Cid and Gilgamesh, respectively. The turrets are prepared should any competitor draw too near to them, meaning this violent interaction may now begin.

The combat begins with Gilgamesh lowering his skull, obviously in preparation for some powerful maneuver. Ivan the Spherical, following Lumber-Throwing Rodent's orders precisely, faces Cid and begins a Violence-Provoking Tirade. Cid, in a fit of anger, charges up an Ionized Particle Beam, assaulting Ivan the Spherical with a dangerously powerful blast of electricity. Artful Dodger, false to his name, makes no attempt to dodge, instead doing severe structural damage to the surrounding area with a Tremulous Seismic Assault. Both Cid and Gilgamesh recoil at the attack, but Gilgamesh releases his attack from earlier, injuring Artful Dodger with a Cranial Rushing Attack. Contrary to what you might expect given this account of events, all four creatures remain in almost perfect health. Maybe I should use them as test subjects instead of humans...

Ivan the Spherical uses his powers of the underworld (I am joking; there is nothing underneath Aperture Science that could possibly be incorporated into a Portal sequel. Nothing at all.) to reach into Cid's mind. After intensive searching through six months of memories, Ivan finally locates Cid's Offensive Weaponry Arsenal and removes Ionized Particle Beam from its normally-safe location. I believe this is a tactic commonly known as
Selective Memory Removal. (I should incorporate that into future experiments.) As Ivan leaves Cid's mind, Gilgamesh flexes his claws. Soon afterward, he runs over to Artful Dodger and embraces him in some sort of Intense Piercing Grip. Artful Dodger struggles to break free, but Gilgamesh's claws hold him in place long enough for Cid to knock him away with a Rampaging Inaccurate Charge. Artful Dodger clings to the edge of the platform, but he pulls himself up in time to slash Cid with an Energetic Violent Scrape. And still all four remain standing!

Ivan the Spherical, the "ghost" of Ivan the Terrible, decides to use that terribleness as a weapon and launches a Spectral Projectile Orb directly at Cid. Gilgamesh prepares his claws again, rushing Artful Dodger with an impressive Hardened Clay Shattering Punch. Cid is then commanded by Vacation Documenting File to fire his Ionized Particle Beam at Ivan the Spherical. Unfortunately for him, however, Cid cannot remember how to use the Ionized Particle Beam, rendering his action useless. Still dangerously close to toppling over the side, Artful Dodger smashes the ground in front of him with a second Tremulous Seismic Assault. The attack again hits Cid and Gilgamesh, but the reverberations cause Artful Dodger to topple over the side and drop to the ground below! It appears that contact moves will be much harder to execute, whether by him or on him, until he has successfully scaled the wall in front of him. This battle is simply beginning, but what has already happened has further convinced me of the essential evil present in humanity. Apparently Chell was an excellent example...

Round 2 Begin!

Ivan the Spherical produces from within himself some sort of Condensed Industrial Toxin, releasing a large ball of poisonous matter from his mouth and spitting it directly at Cid. Gilgamesh does not take kindly to this attack on his esteemed partner and responds with a well-aimed Widespread Boulder Stampede that inflicts some small wounds to Ivan the Spherical and Artful Dodger. Cid also seeks vengeance for his earlier punishment and verbally assaults Artful Dodger with some Repetition Discouraging Torture. Artful Dodger is put into such great pain (although there is no feasible way that Cid could have done so from such a great distance...such remarkable creatures) that he cannot use any move he used last round for six actions OR use any move twice in a row, which causes immediate difficulties when he attempts to create another Tremulous Seismic Assault. In his futile attempt to use the move, his sore muscles lock up, rendering him unable to complete it...Actually, what I have just shown you is an alternate reality. Cid is in reality unable to use his move because he is Taunted. Artful Dodger laughs in Cid's faces, easily completing his attack.

Ivan the Spherical, while no stranger to causing pain, still feels a vague sense of loyalty to Artful Dodger, so he readies and releases a Spectral Projectile Orb. Cid takes a fair beating from this powerful strike, but his partner ignores the immediate threat to move down to Artful Dodger with a Subterranean Excavating Dive. Gilgamesh surfaces just beside Artful Dodger while Cid smashes into Ivan the Spherical with a Rampaging Inaccurate Charge. Artful Dodger does not approve of this action, so he stamps his foot on the ground, mystically causing some sand to swirl around Cid; I believe this is known as a Spiraling Granular Entrapment. Cid recoils from the force, but the swirling sands have done their work. My sensors have now indicated to me that Cid has died due to a lack of Hit Points. Vacation Documenting File produces from his backpack the small sphere that he released Cid from at the beginning of the battle. He mournfully recalls Cid to it; I wonder if it is some sort of life capsule that will keep a Pokemon alive and serve as its home and, later, its casket.

Ivan the Spherical snickers quietly before flinging a second ball of Condensed Industrial Toxin directly at the spot where Cid was just moments ago. Unsurprisingly, Ivan looks a little less smug now. Gilgamesh attempts to do further damage with a Widespread Boulder Stampede, but the distance between him and Ivan the Spherical is great enough that the attack misses. The attack is accurate enough to hit Artful Dodger, however, and the force of the rocks is enough to make him flinch, saving Artful Dodger a few energy.

I feel something for Cid...maybe...human sadness? no...more like...disappointment...

Okay I think I'm going first so go Staryu!
Gastly:
Shadow Ball Drilbur ~ Sludge Bomb Drilbur ~ Shadow Ball Drilbur
substitution: if Drilbur faints hit Lairon instead, but use Thunderbolt instead of Sludge Bomb

Staryu:
Hydro Pump Drilbur ~ Blizzard ~ Hydro Pump Drilbur
substitution: if drilbur faints hit Lairon instead, but use Thunder instead of Blizzard.

Drilbur:
