XY Doubles Threatlist

Politoed
Type: Water
Base Stats: 90 HP / 75 Atk / 75 Def / 90 SpA / 100 SpD / 70 Spe
Abilities: Water Absorb / Damp / Drizzle

The only reason to use Politoed is because it's the only legal Pokemon in doubles with the ability Drizzle. However, that ability makes an entire playstyle become viable, allowing pokemon to spam Thunder and rain-boosted water moves without having to waste a turn on Rain Dance. Damp Rock is usually the best item, allowing Politoed's rain to last for a full 8 turns. Most Politoeds run defensive EVs and Scald, in order to increase their longevity. Other utility moves to pay attention includes Encore, Helping Hand, Perish Song, and Icy Wind. However, it's possible to take advantage of rain-boosted Hydro Pumps and run an offensive special attacking set.

Genesect
Type: Bug / Steel
Base Stats: 71 HP / 120 Atk / 95 Def / 120 SpA / 95 SpD / 99 Spe
Abilities: Download

Genesect is one of the most powerful Choice Scarf users in doubles, with good attacking stats, a good ability and a great movepool. With 99 Spe and a Choice Scarf, it outspeeds most of the tier, including Choice Scarf Landorus-T. Download gives Genesect a free +1 depending on the opponent's weaker defensive stat. U-Turn, Iron Head and Bug Buzz provide good physical and special STABs, and there are tons of viable coverage moves that it can choose from. The versatility of Genesect's movepool and its fantastic speed allow it to find a spot on many teams. It also has the option of using Douse Drive and Techno Blast because it otherwise lacks a Water attack.

Type: Dark
Base Stats: 70 HP / 90 Atk / 90 Def / 135 SpA / 90 SpD / 125 Spe
Ability: Bad Dreams

Darkrai has a nice offensive typing, dark, and both the power and speed to abuse it. Its dark typing along with the ability to use taunt lets it check most trick room users, and stop them getting it up. It also has great coverage, including focus blast, ice beam and thunderbolt, allowing it to hit the entire meta neutrally, and great support moves including will-o-wisp and snarl, providing helpful team support. Its high speed lets it out run most of the unboosted meta allowing to revenge kill easily, as despite its nice natural defences, Darkrai does not appreciate taking hits.

Type: Grass / Fighting
Base Stats: 60 HP / 130 Atk / 80 Def / 60 SpA / 60 SpD / 70 Spe
Ability: Effect Spore / Poison Heal / Technician

Breloom's main niche is spore, as without a sleep clause, it can freely sleep most pokemon, especially with Focus Sash, its main item, letting it live a hit. Its main ability, Technician, powers up its STAB Mach Punch, allowing breloom to revenge kill certain threats, such as Excadrill, Bisharp, and Tyranitar. Its other common attacking move, Bullet Seed, gives it extra coverage and a stronger STAB.

I should have done this yesterday but forgot:

If you have any reservations out for over three days, then your reservations are dropped. Everyone who reserved without delivering has just had their reservations dropped. Some Pokemon are re-available now.

Thundurus
Type: Electric / Flying
Base Stats: 79 HP / 115 Atk / 70 Def / 125 SpA / 80 SpD / 111 Spe
Abilities: Prankster / Defiant

Thundurus provides the perfect mix of offense and support in Doubles. This is thanks to its ability, Prankster, which allows it to cripple fast attackers with Thunder Wave and support Pokemon with Taunt before they even get to move. Thundurus also boasts a base 125 Special Attack, making moves such as Thunderbolt and Hidden Power Ice quite powerful, even without a boosting item. Generally, Thundurus is seen running a bulky set with Sitrus Berry to allow itself to take attacks and continue attacking and supporting its team. A Offensive Life Orb set is also possible, however, bringing more power and most notably OHKOing Mega Charizard Y.

Rotom-H, Salamence, and Pinsir are finished

Reserving Jirachi, Gengar, and Keldeo because they're open now. Finished all three, but the sprites aren't working (but they should fix themselves eventually)

Jirachi
Type: Steel / Psychic
Base Stats: 100 HP / 100 Atk / 100 Def / 100 SpA / 100 SpD / 100 Spe
Ability: Serene Grace

With Follow Me and its solid bulk / resistances, Jirachi is one of the best attack redirectors in the tier. Follow Me allows it to redirect attacks away from a potentially frail sweeper, giving its teammates more time to attack and deal damage. Its stats are great, especially in Doubles standards, landing it right onto the crucial base 100 Speed tier, and giving it very solid 100 / 100 / 100 defenses. Aside from Follow Me, Jirachi has many other support moves. Its famous paraflinching combination helps it stun opponents and slow them down for its partners. It also has moves such as Icy Wind, Safeguard, Trick Room, and Helping Hand to further aid its partner.

->

Gengar
Type: Ghost / Poison
Base Stats: 60 HP / 65 Atk / 60 Def / 130 SpA / 75 SpD / 110 Spe
Mega Stats: 60 HP / 65 Atk / 80 Def / 170 SpA / 95 SpD / 130 Spe
Ability: Levitate
Mega Ability: Shadow Tag

Mega Gengar is a very big threat. Its colossal offensive stats and unique typing allow it to offensively threaten a very large portion of the tier, and its powerful STAB attacks go relatively unresisted. Shadow Tag further complements its offensive capabilities by allowing it to trap any foes that it chooses. This makes it a terrific almost guaranteed counter to many of the tier's top threats, including most physical attackers, Fairy-, Ghost-, and Psychic-types, and many more. Shadow Tag allows Mega Gengar to punish almost any strategy, from Trick Room to setup to Hyper Offense. With support moves such as Will-O-Wisp, Disable, and Perish Song, it has many options with which it can cripple the foe. It is perfect for controlling momentum and crippling threats.

Keldeo
Type: Water / Fighting
Base Stats: 91 HP / 72 Atk / 90 Def / 129 SpA / 90 SpD / 108 Spe
Ability: Justified

Its great stats and powerful STAB attacks all make Keldeo a very powerful attacker. A base 129 Special Attack stat makes it one of the most powerful special attackers in the metagame, and with high powered STAB moves such as Focus Blast, Hydro Pump, Secret Sword, and Scald, Keldeo can deal a lot of damage quickly. With its STAB attacks, it can outspeed and threaten many top tier threats, including Mega Kangaskhan, Landorus-T, and Mega Charizard Y. To top all of that off, it also has some very interesting moves in its support movepool. In particular, it has access to both Quick Guard and Icy Wind, giving it both Speed control and an interesting way to support frailer offensive partners, aside from dealing damage.

Here are some ground rules:
  • You may only reserve two Pokemon at any given moment and three if you are a badgeholder. You may not reserve any more until you have all of your current threat list entries completed.
  • You have three days maximum to complete your reservation, any more and it will be revoked. It really doesn't take that long to write a simple paragraph, and if you display a tendency to place reservations without completing them, then you will not be allowed to place any reservations at all.
  • Make a new post once you've completed your reservation. This makes it easier for me to keep track of threat list entries instead of having to continually look back to see if you finished your work.
  • Please have prior knowledge about the XY Doubles metagame before you place a reservation. Also make sure that you can write a coherent paragraph as well. I do have the right to reject threat list entries if the quality and/or content isn't up to snuff. So if one of these things applies to you, it's simply best not to waste everyone's time reserving something.
  • If there's a Pokemon that you believe should be included in the threat list and is not there, you may make a case in this thread stating why it should be included.
:^)

Hydreigon
Type: Dark / Dragon
Base Stats: 92 HP / 105 Atk / 90 Def / 125 SpA / 90 SpD / 98 Spe
Ability: Levitate

Hydreigon has the potential to fill multiple roles, due to his good SpA and Speed along with a wide movepool. To capitalize on this, Life Orb, Choice Scarf or Choice Specs are often used. Draco Meteor and Dark Pulse are used on almost every set for STAB, as well as a Fire-type move due to Fire/Dragon having nearly perfect coverage. On any set not running Choice Scarf/Specs, Hydreigon can also run Tailwind or Taunt for additional team support.

Jellicent

Type: Water / Ghost
Base Stats: 100 HP / 60 Atk / 70 Def / 85 SpA / 100 SpD / 60 Spe
Ability: Water Absorb / Cursed Body / Damp

Jellicent is a very useful Pokemon in the Doubles metagame thanks to its unique combination of Trick Room and Water Spout. These two moves allow Jellicent to aid its teammates with Trick Room, mitigate its own low Speed, and freely use Water Spout without worry of being hit; thus weakening its damage output. Jellicent is also very useful because it has access to Will-O-Wisp, which aids it teammates by crippling powerful physical attackers like Landorus-T. Jellicent also can stay healthy throughout the match thanks to Recover. Its typing also gives it many resistances and four immunities, which can be vital. Its movepool is also quite extensive. Water Absorb is useful to regain health when switching into Water-type moves and can be very useful against choice-locked opponents.

Reserving Hydreigon
Mention Politoed's awesome support movepool, and people also use Politoed as a check to other weathers as opposed to always supporting the team. I wouldn't call damp rock the best item, as most Politoeds run Lefties unless the team is 100% rain reliant.

Jellicent

Type: Water / Ghost
Base Stats: 100 / 60 / 70 / 85 / 100 / 60
Ability: Water Absorb / Cursed Body / Damp

Jellicent is a very useful Pokemon in the Doubles metagame thanks to its unique combination of Trick Room and Water Spout. Water Spout is gimmicky and most of the times you run into it, it won't use it, so it is not worth a highlight in a threat list. Mention stab scald instead, and also, you don't have its great bulk mentioned anywhere.

Kyurem-B
Type: Dragon / Ice
Base Stats: 125 HP / 170 Atk / 100 Def / 120 SpA / 90 SpD / 95 Spe
Ability: Terravolt

Kyurem-B is a versatile offensive threat that is tough to handle. It can harness the power of a Choice Band to boost its Attack sky high and plow through teams with Outrage or use a Life Orb coupled with great coverage to push its way through any Pokemon that oppose it. Kyurem-B is also an effective user of Substitute thanks to its Dragon-typing and good bulk which provide it with multiple resists and plenty of opportunities to set up. Although it pales in comparison, Kyurem-B's Special Attack is high, allowing Kyurem-B to dish out heavy damage with Ice Beam and Earth Power in a fully special or a mixed set (thank to its ability Teravolt, Kyurem-B can nail Rotom-W/Rotom-H and Mega Venusaur for super effective damage with Earth Power and Ice Beam, respectively) By virtue of its typing and great defensive stat it is a strong offensive answer to Electric-types and most Grass- and Water-types.

Ferrothorn
Type: Grass / Steel
Base Stats: 74 HP / 94 Atk / 131 Def / 54 SpA / 116 SpD / 20 Spe
Abilities: Iron Barbs / Anticipation

With sky high defenses and a great typing, Ferrothorn is a tricky Pokemon to take down. Ferrothron's ability, Iron Barbs, punishes physical attackers and discourages the use of Fake Out as it will result in a loss of HP. Ferrothorn is a great check to Trick Room and provides good support with moves like Leech Seed and Thunder Wave. It can run a number of items: a Lum Berry to shrug off Rotom-W's Will-O-Wisp and OHKO it with Power Whip; Rocky Helmet to compound residual damage in tandem with Iron Barbs; or Leftovers to rack up HP in conjunction with Protect and Leech Seed.

Weavile
Type: Dark / Ice
Base Stats: 70 HP / 120 Atk / 65 Def / 45 SpA / 85 SpD / 125 Spe
Abilities: Pressure / Pickpocket

Weavile boasts the fastest unboosted Fake Out in Smogon Doubles. This allows it to provide great support to powerful leads and get a strong footing against opposing teams. Weavile is no slouch offensively either. It boasts a great attack stat with decent STAB moves in Ice Punch and Knock Off which provide good coverage. Weavile can also use Low Kick to beat Pokemon like Heatran, Tyranitar and Terrakion which usually get the better of it. Weavile can also be paired up with Justified users like Terrakion and give its partner multiple Attack boosts via Beat Up. Unlike Whimsicott, a notorious Beat Up companion of Terrakion, Weavile actually applies offensive pressure to the opponent's team, making it a more formidable Beat Up user. It commonly holds Focus Sash to survive an extra hit that it otherwise couldn't due to its flimsy defense.
BLOOD TOTEM, I'm gonna use you as an example to others. Your descriptions could have been more detailed. I added a lot of detail into your post as you can see. You should also double check your work, because you wrote in that Kyurem-B has 175 base Attack, instead of 170 base Attack.
Lolk said:

Water Spout is actually a staple on both offensive and defensive Jellicent. It's a reliable spread move that would be dishing out more damage than Scald even at 54% health. With Recover and many opportunities to heal, it wont be too difficult to boost Jellicent's Water Spout close to max power either.

I agree with everything else, though.

Landorus-T
Type: Ground / Flying
Base Stats: 89 HP / 145 Atk / 90 Def / 105 SpA / 80 SpA / 91 Spe
Ability: Intimidate

Landorus-T is seen by many as one of the best Pokemon is Doubles, and for good reason. Landorus-T's great Ground / Flying typing gives it many resistances and two immunities and also allows it to check many different threats, including Pokemon such as Garchomp, Excadrill, and Terrakion. Intimidate further assists it in checking many physical attackers by lowering there Attack stat. With a Choice Scarf equipped and a extremely high base 145 Attack stat, Landorus-T has no trouble spamming fast and powerful Earthqaukes and Rock Slides, meaning it can actually serve as a check to Pokemon such as Mega Charizard Y and Electric-types, such as Thundurus and Mega Manectric. Landorus-T can also be seen running items such as Yache Berry to help offset its Ice-type weakness or Sitrus Berry to help recover HP.

Type: Flying
Base Stats: 79 HP / 115 Atk / 70 Def / 125 SpA / 80 SpD / 111 Spe
Abilities: Prankster / Defiant

Tornadus is a solid physical attacker in Doubles for a few reasons. First and foremost, Tornadus's ability Defiant means it receives an Attack boost when its stats are lowered. This allows Tornadus to punish Intimidate and other stat-lowering moves, as they all raise Tornadus's Attack. Tornadus is also fast, sitting at 111 Speed, meaning it can outspeed Pokemon such as Latios and Keldeo and KO them. Tornadus is usually seen with a powerful itemless Acrobatics with coverage moves such as Superpower and Knock Off. While rare, a Prankster set with Tailwind can be used, though this forces Tornadus to rely on the inaccurate Hurricane.

Type: Fairy / Flying
Base Stats: 85 HP / 50 Atk / 96 Def / 120 SpA / 115 SpD / 80 Spe
Abilities: Hustle / Serene Grace / Super Luck

Togekiss is considered one of the best support Pokemon in Doubles thanks to a number of reasons. Follow Me is a great move in Doubles, and Togekiss is one of the best users thanks to its good bulk and typing. Togekiss can also support its teammates through Tailwind, Helping Hand, and even Safeguard support, meaning it isn't just limited to Follow Me. Togekiss's ability, Serene Grace, doubles secondary effects, giving Air Slash a great 60% chance to flinch the opponent. This is especially effective in combination with Thunder Wave, as it means the opponent is very likely not to do anything that turn. Although Sitrus Berry is the go-to item on a Follow Me user like Togekiss, be wary of those wearing Safety Goggles to sponge Spores and Sleep Powders for the team.

Type: Fire / Flying
Base Stats: 78 HP / 81 Atk / 71 Def / 74 SpA / 69 SpD / 126 Spe
Abilities: Flame Body / Gale Wings

Talonflame's role in Doubles comes from its ability, Gale Wings, which gives all Flying-type moves +1 priority. With this, Talonflame can now use +1 priority Brave Birds, giving it one of the most powerful priority moves in the entire game. Talonflame's secondary Fire-type STAB complements it very well, as Flare Blitz deals with most Steel-types which wall Talonflame's Flying-type attacks. Gale Wings also gives priority to support moves such as Tailwind, meaning Talonflame can also support its team if need be. Will-O-Wisp, Quick Guard, and even Taunt are other moves which Talonflame can use to good success as well. Due to its frailty and access to support options, Talonflame is often seen holding items like Life Orb or Sharp Beak to use Protect and switch moves; Choice Band is still a solid choice to spam super-hard Brave Birds.

Zapdos
Type: Electric / Flying
Base Stats: 90 HP / 90 Atk / 85 Def / 125 SpA / 90 SpD / 100 Spe
Ability: Pressure / Static (Unreleased)

Good all around bulk, a high special attack and a decent speed stat serve to make Zapdos a strong presence both in an offensive role and in a support role. With its good speed and special attack Zapdos is capable of utilizing both a Scarf set, a Specs set and even a Life Orb set. Access to Roost and Tailwind allow it to serve as a bulkier threat as well, utilizing a Sitrus set or Leftovers. Being a Tailwind tank is Zapdos main niche over Thundurus.

Manectric
Type: Electric
Base Stats: 70 HP / 75 Atk / 60 Def / 105 SpA / 60 SpD / 105 Spe
Mega Stats: 70 HP / 75 Atk / 80 Def / 135 SpA / 80 SpD / 135 Spe
Ability: Lightning Rod / Static / Minus
Mega Ability: Intimidate

Manectric is notable for having a fast Volt Switch, strong Electric STAB, and access to both Lightning Rod and Intimidate, Manectric finds itself as a strong presence on both bulky slow teams and on rain teams. In its Mega form, Manectric can abuse its blistering speed to outrun most of the tier (most notably neutral Speed Deoxys-A, Mega Gengar, and Shaymin-S) and juggle around Intimidates. In its base form, it can hold off mega evolving to redirect electric attacks with Lightning Rod to boost its special attack and do heavy damage. Access to moves such as Snarl and Thunder Wave also allow Manectric to run some minor support roles as well.
