Welcome one and all to the NU Replay thread. Here is where we're going to Post replays demonstrating not only great battles you've had between friends, but top tier Official Tournament battles (Grand Slam), Unofficial tournaments (NUPL, Minitours) and ladder battles you feel people can learn from by watching.

What kind of replays should be posted here?

Battles in which display a particular playstyle really well.
Battles with two highly rated members of the ladder (If ladder battling)
Battles in which show (good) new and creative sets off.

If you do post a battle, remember to add some information about the team(s) involved, and a little bit of a summary of what the battle entailed and some clarification about key points in the match (turns you really had to think - explain what you did and why)

Super fun battle I had with the former NU King, Zeb, against my team for research week, looking at sneasel. Zeb's team was a spike stacking balanced team imo, focusing on getting hazards set by garbodor, a very underrated and bulky spike/ t spike setter, and also got a buff with the gunk shot accuracy boost. From there, it can toxic stall pokes by increasing defenses or special defenses by gurdurr or uxie, respectively. mismagius as a spin blocker. My team was built around gurdurr with sneasel handling ghosts and psychics, with rindo berry seismitoad and vileplume as pivot switches, and specs typhlosion and special samurott with aqua jet as ways of delivering quick and heavy damage. My team was weak to hazards, so zeb did a good job getting up as many hazards as possible.
Early on, I expected physical samurott, so I switched into vileplume to only get hit by a hydro and ice beam. Life orb samurott would have killed after ice beam. I should have been scared of lum berry samurott but I was not for some reason. Not sure if you were a bulky modest set with lefties (ice beam had a low roll) or a faster timid mystic water set (doubting but possible, ice beam most likely would not have killed).
Turn 7 should have gone for fire blast but you would have revenged with gurdurr assuming you would sac garbodor, but that would of resulted in less hazards.
Turn 15 was the biggest turn for me to attempt a comeback. I expected gurdurr to go for knockoff thinking I would switch into vileplume, which would have killed with mach punch. I had to try to knock off the eviolite so samurott could kill with hydro pump. Zeb made the safe and ultimately the best play.
Turn 22, I was able to get seismitoad in in the predicted pain split knowing i could live for one more turn. I had 8 speed ev's, but his garbodor had more speed to kill seismitoad. I think I had a great chance to win if I was able to outspeed and knock out the garbodor.
Overall very fun and close battle.

I'm SunnyR,on Pokemon Showdown,er I've ladder peaked w/#~400 in UU,#489 in OU and currently #17 on NU beta these are two of the better battles I've had in the tier. One is against SKinnyWhitePimp #9 on the ladder,and the other one is just a good battle in general. Also Rindo Berry on Smogon Toad is nice! Yes I'm using a copied team but I'm new to the tier! Bear with me :P

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/nu-166885448 vs QueenOfLuvdiscs I had the match pretty much lost at team matchup, the new team i was using gets beat by fire spam (more specifically Ninetales) made a couple of nice plays to win. (Especially the one at the end with the double switch into Gurdurr)

Both of these were in a small room tournament, semi-finals and finals. However they were against top ladder players.

Here is a battle against AquajetBreloom who was #4 on the ladder I believe.
I had basically 0 win condition because this team (credit to Davon btw) relies on hazards and was basically cock-blocked by Xatu.
In order to win I had to make really risky plays and double switches. This is a very good battle which demonstrates how to beat a team of fat pokemon http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/nu-168934853

I wouldn't necessarily say you didnt have a win condition at team preview, your sceptile put in work on his team and once you weakened a couple key stops, mainly vileplume and hariyama, with pawniard, mismag, and to a lesser extent typhlosion it actually ended up being easy. just because the team doesn't necessarily accomplish the goal the creator had when building doesn't mean it auto fails. I'd honestly say you had a great matchup. but maybe i'm just seeing things differently?

Great replay I had on the ladder with the Ladder Tournament. I built this really cool offensive team with AJB to try and ladder with that literally gets demolished by Kangaskhan. I had to bait his Gogoat into bringing my Slurpuff into Unburden which would have allowed me to win. A really interesting game that showcases some underrated threats in NU as well as decent prediction and a close finish.

Ladder: Vs. Deej Dy
a great match that was neck and neck the whole game. i was like number 12 on the ladder in this match and deej was number 9. I was using my sash offense innovation team and it looks like deej is using offense w/ a seismitoad as a pivot when his typhlosion is locked into a fire move. The game ended in a 50/50, the ways i would lose were: his kangaskhan would sucker punch as my kabutops goes for stone edge, or his kangaskhan go for drain punch as i aqua jet. The ways i would win were: aqua jet as he goes for sucker punch, or stone edge as he goes for drain punch. unfortunately for me, i missed stone edge even though i won the 50/50. again, great game deej. no hax really besides the stone edge miss at the end (i was secretly hoping he would miss stone edge when he attacked my xatu w/ archeops at the end :[ ).

Ladder: Vs. Brawlfest
another great game on the ladder, this time versus the hax god. shoutout to soulgazer, who i stole the team from a while back in the teambuilding competition. turn 1 is very interesting, it appears i have an advantage as he leads crustle and i lead rampardos. little do i know brawlfest is using some next level innovation w/ sash crustle! srsly wat fgt runs sash. turn 8 is also a highlight. seriously his tauros misses zen headbutt so my mismagius can destiny bond which is great, but next turn he's either gonna kill me (he'll also kill himself) or switch, this guy misses zen headbutt as i go for shadow ball so that way my destiny bond wears off and he can kill me the next turn w/ no penalty. v aggravating. turn 16 lilligant is timid lum, so it was a roll if i kill gatr w/ giga, so i go into flareon and quick attack. i believe this to be a choke on my part since im p sure aqua kills, but luckfully he goes for waterfall, he probably thought i was bulky or something since the team im using lacks any sort of bulk otherwise. turn 18 was like a 50/50 within another 50/50, giga drain had like a 50% chance to ohko. he couldve also tricked if i went for quiver dance. gg brawlfest, was a very fun game :]

A pretty interesting nu tournament match vs Teddeh :)
He is a pretty cool guy and a strong battler as well. Volbeat is the mvp of the match on my side and it gives Teddeh a run for his money xD. Watch to see how my volbeat stall handles a strong ass Exeggutor, CM musharna and Defog Archeops

here's a match I had against -Kody- on the ladder yesterday I think? there were a couple bits of hax towards the end on both sides which I think balanced out, but there's really no way to tell. lessons to learn from this replay are no item sceptile is shit, CB dusknoir is good when your opponent has no normal-type/rhydon/steelix, and pokemon clans apparently still exist lol

I'm new to NU, but I had a really good game just now and thought it was worth sharing. The reason my rating is so low is I've only played 6 games.

Mawile/Virizion/Heliolisk dropping into the tier sparked my interest. Mawile has always been one of my favorites, and I knew with the pervasiveness of Mega Steelix that I wanted to try out mix Sheer Force Mawile. Although Mawile doesn't do much in this game (I Fire Blasted in an attempt to either 2HKO Steelix or keep SR off the field), it's still a really cool set. CB Poliwrath (Waterfall / Ice Punch / Brick Break / Focus Punch) was sort of the star in this match, 2HKOing defensive Xatu and threatening almost all of the other Pokémon. If you are wondering, I used Coil vs Mega Steelix because I assumed, like every other player on the ladder, that my opponent wanted to get SR up.

Hopefully the replay is entertaining. :)
