==================================
[Overview]

At a glance, Yamask doesn't look particularly special. It has a generic Ghost typing, a shallow movepool, and low Speed. However, it does bring a few useful moves, such as Trick Room and Nasty Plot, and an interesting new ability to the table. With these tools in tandem with its great defenses and usable Special Attack, Yamask can play a couple of roles reasonably well, the most effective one being that of a Trick Room abuser. While Yamask certainly isn't winning any awards for creativity, it can at least become a dangerous sweeper when given the opportunity to set up.

[SET]
name: Trick Room
move 1: Trick Room
move 2: Shadow Ball
move 3: Hidden Power Fighting
move 4: Nasty Plot
item: Oran Berry
nature: Quiet
evs: 216 HP / 160 SpA / 80 SpD
ivs: 0 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

<
p>Due to its great defenses and usable Special Attack, Yamask can effectively set up Trick Room in order to sweep the opposition while supporting your team. Yamask's pure Ghost typing means that its only weaknesses are Dark and Ghost, which provides ample opportunities to set up Trick Room repeatedly throughout a match. Shadow Ball and Hidden Power Fighting provide perfect coverage, allowing Yamask to sweep without fear of being resisted. Once Trick Room is set up, switch out to your dedicated Trick Room sweeper or have Yamask start boosting its Special Attack with Nasty Plot. After a single boost, Yamask reaches 30 Special Attack, which is capable of denting even the strongest of walls, such as Munchlax. Oran Berry helps restore a significant amount of health once Yamask is low, giving it more chances to set up Trick Room and sweep.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The Special Defense and HP EVs complement Yamask's naturally high Defense stat, making it fairly bulky. The rest of the EVs are placed into Special Attack to boost its offensive capabilities.

Since Yamask is likely to set up Trick Room, Trick Room sweepers are obligatory partners. Sweepers such as Porygon, Aron, and Wailmer can plow through the opponent's team under Trick Room. If you're using Yamask on a dedicated Trick Room team, then another Trick Room supporter such as Bronzor or Slowpoke is mandatory. Other slow, powerful Pokemon such as Munchlax and Cubone will find Yamask's Trick Room a blessing as well, as they can now be able to outspeed the majority of foes and put their attacking prowess to good use.

[SET]
name: Calm Mind
move 1: Calm Mind
move 2: Hex
move 3: Hidden Power Fighting
move 4: Will-O-Wisp
item: Oran Berry
nature: Bold
evs: 212 HP / 80 Def / 160 SpD / 40 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

By utilizing its respectful bulk, Yamask can accumulate multiple Calm Mind boosts and then sweep through the opponent's team. After just two Calm Minds under its belt, Yamask reaches 24 Special Attack and 30 Special Defense, making it quite bulky and threatening at the same time. Thanks to its typing and its ability, Mummy, the opponent will switch out more often than not when faced with Yamask, allowing it to net that extra Calm Mind boost. Will-O-Wisp and Hex is a combination that can cause havoc upon your foe. Will-O-Wisp drains the opponent's health, reduces their Attack, and doubles the Base Power of Hex, making it the ideal status move for Yamask's arsenal. Hidden Power Fighting provides flawless coverage alongside Hex by hitting Dark- and Steel-types for super effective. Oran Berry is there to restore a good chunk of health and hopefully give Yamask another chance at sweeping.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The HP, Defense, and Special Defense EVs are designed to take advantage of Yamask's natural bulk, boosting its ability to set up Calm Mind in the face of attacks, which helps Yamask fulfill its ultimate goal of sweeping. The remaining EVs are placed into Speed in an attempt to boost Yamask's
meager base Speed and allow it to outspeed defensive threats such as Bronzor and Duskull.

This set can be easily checked by faster Ghost-types such as Gastly, which can KO Yamask before it has a chance to set up. For this reason, pairing Yamask up with other bulky attackers is not a bad idea. Munchlax is a great candidate as it is immune to Ghost and has Pursuit to remove the threats. With Will-O-Wisp and Mummy, Yamask can help other members of your team, such as Komatana, sweep easier. Encore users, such as Cottonee, are another major threat to this set, since Yamask's sweep will be ruined if one of its non-damaging moves gets Encored. As such, it is best to switch out to a heavy-damage dealer such as Aron to smash them. In the case of Cottonee, Paras is a suitable partner as it not only has X-Scissor to slice the cotton ball, but is also immune to Leech Seed.

[Optional Changes]

Yamask has an incredibly limited movepool, which gives it less variety and creativity. Hidden Power Fighting may be replaced by another attacking move, such as Psychic and Energy Ball, in the Calm Mind set. By doing this, Yamask has better coverage over the likes of Poison- and Fighting-types or Water-, Ground-, and Rock-types, respectively, but Hidden Power Fighting's overall coverage is much more desirable. Yamask also has access to useful support moves such as Grudge, Mean Look, and Destiny Bond, but finding a moveslot for them is difficult, and you're probably better off sticking to the listed options.

[Checks and Counters]

The best counter to Yamask is Cottonee, since it has priority Encore to mess up Yamask's sweep. It can then stall out Yamask's team with a combination of Leech Seed and Substitute. Other powerful attackers, such as Machop, may also give Yamask trouble thanks to its lack of recovery outside of Oran Berry. Pokemon that pack Sucker Punch, such as Houndour and Croagunk, are a pain to any Yamask. If Trick Room is not up, then fast Ghost-types such as Gastly can easily smash Yamask with Shadow Ball.

...ohey, I can post in here now. :O Right, I know I sent you my suggestions before, and I see that you changed some stuff... however, I think desudesu has some better sets he can run:

Desumasu @ Berry Juice
EVs: 212 HP / 76 Def / 156 SDef / 36 Speed
Nature: Bold
Ability: Mummy
- Will-O-Wisp
- Evil Eye
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power (Fighting)

Mainly I like this one, as it can protect itself on both the physical and special sides of the spectrum with both Wisp and CM while still presenting an offensive threat, which not a lot of other Ghosts (aside from Missy, who does freakin' everything) can do. Not completely outclassed by Missy because of Mummy, which makes it harder to kill with Sucker Punch and Pursuit, since a lot of users of those moves rely heavily on their abilities (Croagunk, Houndour, Munchlax, etc.).

Otherwise, you can go for what is basically Special Duskull, which is the same set as above but with a greater EV investment in Defense and a filler move instead of CM. It gets Energy Ball, which is pretty usable, as well as stuff like Protect or Disable. I don't know if it's as good as the above, but as far as I know, it's the set at which Desumasu is the least outclassed. :0

Add a physical wall set.

Bold // 212 HP / 236 Def / 36 Speed
- Will-O-Wisp
- Evil Eye
- Hidden Power (Fighting / Ground)
- Energy Ball / Protect / Disable

Greater emphasis on blocking the physical side.
Might want to confer with the more pro LC players to figure out which of these is his best set. :0

I'll test it and then see

EDIT: Hmm, it seems quite good as a wall, gets roughly 3HKO'd or 2HKO'd by most threats. Though the problem is, the lack of investments in Attack EVs and shitty attack stats, make it useless as it can't hit back. and it still doesn't block a lot.

Desumasu

==================================
Status: Done
==================================

[Overview]
This Pokémon is nothing highly special. It brings a few new moves and an interesting new ability (what ability??). Desumasu can play a few roles, the most effective one being a trick room setting up Pokémon. Desumasu seems to be a specially based version of Duskull. It is less defensive and more of an attacker.

[SET]
name: Trick Room
move 1: Shadow Ball
move 2: Hidden Power Fighting
move 3: Nasty Plot
move 4: Trick Room
item: Oran Berry
evs: 216 HP / 165 SpA / 80 SpD
nature: Quiet

Set Comments

This set can be effective to set up Trick Room. Trick Room is a very useful strategy that is used in Little Cup. This Pokémon will use its stats to not only be a useful Trick Room setting up user, but also an effective Trick Room sweeper thanks to its Special Attack stats. These stats will help it sweep using moves such as Shadow Ball and Hidden Power Fighting. These two moves give it fairly good type coverage. This type coverage access may help it sweep better. Due to Desumasu being pure ghost type, its only weakness' are Dark-type and Ghost-type. This makes it better for its role. If Trick Room has been set up then it will be able to fulfill its role as a sweeper, being able to sweep most of the threats. Nasty Plot helps set up in the cases that your opponent is going to switch, due to either them getting affected by Desumasu's ability, or not having any moves that will significantly affect Desumasu. This will allow Desumasu to increase its high Special Attack to substantially high levels in which case a sweep is almost assured.

Additional Comments

This set is similar to many other Little Cup Trick Room setting up Pokémon such as Slowpoke, but this serves as a sweeper in Trick Room aside from setting it up, such as Porygon. Oran Berry helps restore a significant amount of health in the case of being hit by attacks that drain the HP. This can be highly helpful considering this will give you a higher chance to sweep their team. The Special Defense EVs help Desumasu complete its role as a sweeper due to the fact that these Special Defense EVs add to its already high Defense EVs making it fairly bulky.

Trick Room can be a major threat in Little Cup if used effectively, thus Trick Room sweepers such as Porygon, Bronzor or Slowpoke. Desumasu will help set up Trick Room to let sweepers do their job and sweep. For a Trick Room team to work out properly, you may want another Trick Room setting up Pokémon so something such as Bronzor or Slowpoke may be useful. Other slow, attacking Pokémon such as Munchlax may find this Pokémon a blessing due to the fact that the Trick Room may make something as slow as Munchlax a major threat, not that it isn't already, but the Trick Room will make it faster than most opponents and thus it will be able to sweep several threats that may have been tougher to get past otherwise.

[SET]
name: Calm Mind
move 1: Calm Mind
move 2: Evil Eye
move 3: Hidden Power Fighting
move 4: Will-O-Wisp
item: Oran Berry
evs: 212 HP / 76 Def / 156 SpD / 36 Spe
nature: Bold

Set Comments

This set is quite suitable for Desumasu, as it uses Calm Mind to boost Desumasu's relatively high Special attack, even higher. This way it can be a good sweeper on a team. With just two Calm Minds, Desumasu will be a highly effective sweeper. Thanks to its typing and its EVs, a switch can be highly expected with Desumasu out, allowing you to Calm Mind and get that extra boost. This way you can go on to sweep. Will-O-Wisp and Evil Eye are a combination that can really wreck a team. Will-O-Wisp will not only suck on the opponent's health but will also provide as bait for Evil Eye to use to boost itself and thus beat several Pokémon. Hidden Power Fighting will provide a good type coverage that can hit everything except Ghost-types, in which case Evil Eye can do the job Oran Berry helps restore a significant amount of health in the case of being hit by attacks that drain the HP. This can be highly helpful considering this will give you a higher chance to sweep their team. The ability Mummy is very helpful in acting as a buffer to support your team. Several Pokémon in Little Cup rely on their abilities to function well. Mummy will allow you to pretty much make them useless if they try to attack you. This again, will give you more room to sweep and help fulfill Desumasu's role as an effective Calm Mind sweeper.

Additional Comments

Desumasu is already a fairly bulky and defensive Pokémon to start off and these Defense and Special Defense EVs further boost Desumasu's ability to take hits and thus set up Calm Mind in that period and then proceed to sweep teams with it. The ability for it to take hits is further boosted by its typing. The HP EVs help it further fulfill its role as a sweeper that is allowed to stat up with Calm Mind and not get killed in the process due to these EVs. The Speed EVs are present to allow it to sweep once the Calm Mind has been set up. This way it can fulfill its role as a Calm Mind sweeper

This set can easily be countered fast Ghost-types such as Gastly that may be able to sweep Desumasu. Another bulky attacker may be very useful since Desumasu can set up Will-O-Wisp and also give the opponent the ability "Mummy" allowing you to take another Pokémon and sweep, if not Desumasu itself. Monmen with SubSeed and Encore can really ruin this set since Desumasu will not be able to pull off an effective sweep when encored. This applies to all Encore users, they can be major threats to this set.

[Team Options]

For Trick Room, another Trick Room supporter is highly useful considering Trick Room doesn't last permanently and thus this support will help create a more balanced team. A counter to Monmen may also be quite useful. There are no particular teammates Desumasu requires as such.

[Optional Changes]

Some attacking move aside from Hidden Power Fighting could be used in the Calm Mind set. An attacking move that can be effective, such as Psychic, may help, though Hidden Power Fighting will be a better option considering the factor of type coverage that Desumasu will need when facing certain opponents.

[Counters]

Desumasu is easily countered by several ghost types in the metagame, namely Misdreavus. Other sets such as Machop may also give it trouble thanks to Payback. Though Machamp may be countered with the addition of Psychic as one of the moves. Several Priority Sucker Punch using Pokémon such as Houndour and Croagunk may also give Desumasu trouble.

[Dream World]

Desumasu does not receive a Dream World ability

Seems fine, Desumasu is kinda underwhelming.

I guess mention that Aaken is one of the few Pokemon who would like receiving Mummy (it probably goes better under teammates since you can just burn opposing Aaken).

Also, you wrote Machamp in the counters section.

EDIT-
if we're doing that ?_?

First off, you can add 4 evs to defense, speed, and special defense to gain a point in the calm mind set.

Then for the TR set you can should change the evs to 160 (there is no stat difference between 165 and 160, you just use less evs)

Also you didn't add my corrections and you should add more to the opinion.

Why aren't you lowering the speed iv on the tr set?

I'm not sure what the EVs are about, either.
Desumasu has 38/30/85/55/65/30 stats, so:
HP: 52/132/212 EVs
Atk + Spe: 36/116/196 EVs
Def + Sp.A + Sp.D: 76/156/236 EVs

Trick Room:
216 HP / 160 SpA / 80 SpDef should be changed to 212HP / 156 Sp.A / 76 Sp.D. You do have 66 spare EVs, but you don't use Attack and Speed is detrimental.

Calm Mind:
212 HP / 80 Def / 160 SDef / 40 Speed should be changed to 212 HP / 76 Def / 156 Sp. D / 36 Spe, since the spare EVs don't do anything.

macle's changes are good.

engineer pikachu, you didn't factor in the loss of 1 stat point from the lowering of ivs from hp fighting. So the +4 evs fix that.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

This set is similar to many other Little Cup Trick Room supporters such as Slowpoke, but can play as a Trick Room sweeper as well. Desumasu's weaknesses to Ghost and Dark can be a major issue in Little Cup, thus bulky Pokémon, such as Munchlax, Machop, and Komatana, that can switch in on Ghost- and Dark-types will be helpful teammates. Like all sweepers, Desumasu appreciates entry hazard support.

This analysis really isn't done and is in need of a lot of help, grammar- and somewhat content-wise. There are tons of irrelevant information, poor transition, and whatnot.

Here I was grammaring, but I noticed that I was basically changing a lot of stuff, so I might as well just give you a copy/paste-able proofread.

[SET COMMENTS]

Due to its great defenses and usable Special Attack, This set Desumasu can effectively
set up Trick Room in order to sweep the opposition and support your team, a very useful strategy in Little Cup. Desumasu's Special Attack means that not only is it a good Trick Room supporter, but also an effective Trick Room sweeper. Shadow Ball and Hidden Power Fighting provide fairly good type perfect coverage, and should allowing you Desumasu to sweep without fear of being resisted through most of the metagame. Desumasu's pure Ghost typing means that its only weaknesses are Dark and Ghost,(space) hopefully allowing it to survive longer in the match and set up Trick Room repeatedly which provides ample opportunities to set up Trick Room repeatedly throughout a match. Once Trick Room is set up, switch out to your dedicated Trick Room sweeper or have Desumasu itself go to town start boosting its Special Attack with Nasty Plot. Nasty Plot is there so you can grab some Special Attack boosts while your opponent switches, either due to them getting affected by Desumasu's Mummy ability, or not being able to touch Desumasu. Once Desumasu its Special Attack to sky-high levels, a sweep is almost assured. Oran Berry helps restore a significant amount of health once Desumasu is in the red, giving it more chances to set up Trick Room and sweep.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

This set is similar to many other Little Cup Trick Room supporters such as Slowpoke, but can play as a Trick Room sweeper as well. Oran Berry helps restore a significant amount of health once Desumasu is in the red, giving it more chances to set up Trick Room and sweep. The Special Defense and HP EVs complement Desumasu's naturally high Defense stat, making it fairly bulky
. The rest of the EVs is are placed into Special Attack to boost its offensive capabilities.

Trick Room can be a major threat in Little Cup if used effectively. Desumasu can help set up Trick Room Since Desumasu is likely to set up Trick Room, Trick Room sweepers are obligatory partners. to allowSweepers such as Porygon,
Bronzor Aron, and Slowpoke Wailmer to can plow through the opponent's team under Trick Room. If you're using Desumasu on a dedicated Trick Room team, then another Trick Room supporter is almost mandatory, so running Trick Room on Pokemon such as Bronzor or Slowpoke is almost mandatory are good options. Other slow, powerful Pokémon such as Munchlax and Cubone will find Desumasu's Trick Room a blessing as well, as now they will be able to outspeed the majority of foes and put their attacking prowess to good use.

[SET]

name: Calm Mind
move 1: Calm Mind
move 2: Evil Eye
move 3: Hidden Power Fighting
move 4: Will-O-Wisp
item: Oran Berry
nature: Bold
evs: 212 HP / 80 Def /

[SET COMMENTS]

The crux of this set is using Calm Mind to boost Desumasu's relatively high Special Attack even higher, thus allowing it to sweep through the opponent's team. After just two Calm Minds under its belt, Desumasu can begin doing its job. Thanks to its typing and its ability
, Mummy, the opponent will switch more often than not when faced with Desumasu, allowing you to net that extra Calm Mind boost. Will-O-Wisp and Evil Eye is a combination that can really wreck a team. Will-O-Wisp drains the opponent's health, reduces their Attack, and doubles the Base Power of Evil Eye, making the ideal status move for Desumasu's arsenal. Hidden Power Fighting provides good type coverage alongside Evil Eye. Oran Berry is there to restore a good chunk of health, and hopefully give Desumasu another chance at sweeping.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The HP, Defense, and Special Defense EVs are designed to take advantage of Desumasu's natural bulk, boosting its ability to set up Calm Mind in the face of attacks, which helps Desumasu fulfill its ultimate goal of sweeping. The remaining EVs are placed into Speed in an attempt to boost Desumasu's meager base Speed, and allow it outspeed defensive threats such as Bronzor and Duskull.

This set can be easily checked by fast Ghost-types such as Gastly, who can KO Desumasu before it has a chance to set up. For this reason, pairing Desumasu up with other bulky attackers may not be a bad idea. The burns that Desumasu dishes out, as well as its ability
, Mummy, can help other members of your team sweep, if not Desumasu itself, making it a real team player. Encore users, such as SubSeed Monmen, are another major threat to this set, since Desumasu's sweep will be ruined if one of its non-damaging moves gets Encored.

[Team Options]

For the Trick Room set, another Trick Room supporter
, such as Bronzor or Slowpoke will be highly useful considering the relatively short duration of Trick Room. Monmen is a pain to both the Trick Room and the Calm Mind set, so you may want to pack a powerful Fire-type, such as Houndour.

[Optional Changes]

Desumasu has an incredibly limited movepool, which gives it less variety and creativity. Hidden Power Fighting may be replaced by another attacking move, such as Psychic and Energy Ball, in the Calm Mind set. Though ultimately By doing this, Desumasu has better coverage over the likes of Poison- and Fighting-types or Water-, Ground-, and Rock-types, respectively, but Hidden Power Fighting's overall coverage is much more desirable really does need the type coverage that Hidden Power Fighting provides. Desumasu also has access to useful support moves such as Grudge, Mean Look, and Destiny Bond are all really helpful in Little Cup, but finding a spot moveslot for them is difficult, and you're probably better off sticking to the listed options.

[Counters]

(backspace)Desumasu is easily countered by fast Ghost-types in the metagame, such as Gastly. (Really? Desu uses TR, Gastly is outsped and OHKOed by Shadow Ball. Desu uses CM, gets a chance to survive Shadow Ball, OHKOes back with Shadow Ball... though yeah Gastly has a chance to OHKO CM Desumasu. Best to be mentioned as a revenge killer imo at the end of this section.) Other powerful
attackers such as Machop may also give it trouble thanks to Payback. Pokemon that pack Sucker Punch, such as Houndour and Croagunk, may also give Desumasu trouble, so it's important to predict correctly and play around these problematic foes.

There are many other edits that I didn't indicate from the above that I incorporated into the below version. I'm sure they're fine, but if not, they will get cleaned out later.

[Overview]

At a glance, Desumasu doesn't look particularly special. It has a generic Ghost typing, a shallow movepool, and low Speed. However, it does bring a few useful moves, such as Trick Room and Nasty Plot, and an interesting new ability to the table. With these tools in tandem with its great defenses and usable Special Attack, Desumasu can play a couple of roles reasonably well, the most effective one being that of a Trick Room abuser. While Desumasu certainly isn't winning any awards for creativity, it can at least become a dangerous sweeper when given the opportunity to set up.

By utilizing its respectful bulk, Desumasu can accumulate multiple Calm Mind boosts and then sweep through the opponent's team. After just two Calm Minds under its belt, Desumasu reaches 24 Special Attack and 30 Special Defense, making it quite bulky and threatening at the same time. Thanks to its typing and its ability
, Mummy, the opponent will switch out more often than not when faced with Desumasu, allowing it to net that extra Calm Mind boost. Will-O-Wisp and Evil Eye is a combination that can cause havoc upon your foe. Will-O-Wisp drains the opponent's health, reduces their Attack, and doubles the Base Power of Evil Eye, making it the ideal status move for Desumasu's arsenal. Hidden Power Fighting provides flawless coverage alongside Evil Eye by hitting Dark- and Steel-types for super effective. Oran Berry is there to restore a good chunk of health and hopefully give Desumasu another chance at sweeping.

This set can be easily checked by faster Ghost-types such as Gastly, which can KO Desumasu before it has a chance to set up. For this reason, pairing Desumasu up with other bulky attackers is not a bad idea. Munchlax is a great candidate as it is immune to Ghost and has Pursuit to remove the threats. With Will-O-Wisp and Mummy, Desumasu
can help other members of your team, such as Komatana, sweep easier. Encore users, such as Monmen, are another major threat to this set, since Desumasu's sweep will be ruined if one of its non-damaging moves gets Encored. As such, it is best to switch out to a heavy-damage dealer such as Aron to smash them. In the case of Monmen, Paras is a suitable partner as it not only has X-Scissor to slice the cotton ball, but is also immune to Leech Seed.

[Team Options]

[Counters]

The best counter to Desumasu is Monmen, since it has priority Encore to mess up Desumasu's sweep. It can then stall out Desumasu's team with a combination of Leech Seed and Substitute. Other powerful
attackers, such as Machop, may also give Desumasu trouble thanks to its lack of recovery outside of Oran Berry. Pokemon that pack Sucker Punch, such as Houndour and Croagunk, are a pain to any Desumasu. If Trick Room is not up, then fast Ghost-types such as Gastly can easily smash Desumasu with Shadow Ball.

And are we calling this guy "Yamask" now? It seems the released spoilers of the names are true, so I don't see the harm in renaming all "Desumasu" into "Yamask". I guess we can wait on this.

Anyway, next time, please make sure that the sentences that are not saying something are saying something. For instance,
"Trick Room can be a major threat in Little Cup if used effectively" really isn't saying anything. What does this have to do with Desumasu? How can it be used effectively in order to be a major threat? Run your analysis through spell check, check your analysis with another person (a person good with grammar and a person who knows the metagame and the Pokemon you're writing about so you can get more content), and just polish it really. Take effort. You'll feel better afterward when you make an accomplishment. Read the rules, read my signature, and read the helpful links in my signature. Don't fall behind and strive to learn.

Afterward, I think I'll check it again, just to make sure it's alright. Or, another GPer can swing by, I don't mind. I just want this analysis to be better.

edit: or not, I think what I did is sufficient enough now that I've read over it. Mod checks will get the leftovers. Thanks badal!
