    Well then...

The ASB Arena appears to be deserted. Purple smoke whirls around the barren battleground, a cold reminder of the disaster that had befallen. Your Pokemon step into the ring, hoping to have a battle that would remind them of the happy times of old...but something is wrong.

    Something is very, very wrong.

A psychic force is possessing the pokemon...and headaches ravage them as they enter the grounds. What could this mean?

But it doesn't matter. The battle, as always, must start.

It can still attack itself in confusion, but will not absorb any damage from it. Additionally, the energy protects the Pokemon from its own reckless recoil attacks.

Regenerator(DW): (Innate) [UNLOCKED] When this Pokemon is switched out during a switch battle, it reacts to the energy in the Pokeball and (ten) 10 HP is restored. When this Pokemon Chills, it restores six (6) HP in addition to its 12 Energy.

    "la-la-la-de-la do-be-do-be.....do?"

    *senses evil lurking around*

"Sweet jesus, this is what I get for spending 1 year away from the Arena? It turns into a barren wasteland where evil psychic powers dominate? For crying out loud, who died and made cliché king? (j/k)"

"Oh well, let's get this over with. Maybe it will end up being fun. Come out and play Übelbär!"

    *Pokeball opens*

Übelbär: Reunicluuuus!! (translation: Hey long time no see, huh? You could at least call, you know? I may have a Magic Guard against your sarcasm and a great regenerator against your overall lack of finesse, but you should at least try!)

"Oh buzz off. Just focus on defeating mister popsicle-destroyer over there before this arena MAKE MY F***ING HEAD EXPLODE!"

übelbär: "Reuniclus" (Translation: Roger captain sissy-pants. Will do. Although you are right...this arena is giving me the creeps...)

Trick Room - Psychic - Focus Blast
Sub: IF it uses Bide, THEN replace all damaging attacks used after the Bide with "Light Screen - Reflect"

The two battlers face each other…exchanging blows, listening faithfully to their trainer’s orders…but it doesn’t matter.
UbelBar twists the dimensions even more than they already are, and perhaps it is this that set it off…
The two Pokemon fight, and in the distance, where the ground kisses the sky tenderly, a deep hue of purple advances…
Neither of them notice until it is over them. In the chaos, the hurricane of spite and hate, the two see each other only by the faint glow of their opponent…
And when UbelBar had unleashed his focus blast, and Yum his shadow ball, the whirlwind had cleared…

And the two face each other, the two Pokemon transformed into each other!

"Sweet mother of god übelbär, what the hell has happened?"

Übelbär: RE--Lickilickyyyy!! (translation: Oh My Arceus this is terrible!)

"That is it! This is beyond unacceptable"

Übelbär: Lickilicky! (translation: Yes boss!! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!! TURN ME BACK TO WHAT I WAS!)]

OH HO HO I WILL. I SO WILL EVEN IF IT COSTS ME EVERYTHING!

    Übelbär: Licky! (Translation: yes! yes!)

starting today...YOU WILL START A DIET AND DO EXERCISES! YOU ARE HIDEOUSLY FAT !!!

Übelbär:....lickilicky (translation:...oh you little twerp. When I get my body back I will personally shut down your brain.)

"Oh, your body? it should turn back soon as the battle progresses. For now just focus on disabling Focus Blast, hitting....your body with Solarbeam and then with COMBO (Hyper Beam + Shadow Ball) so your whining stops one way or the other).

    Übelbär: Li. (translation:...hmph. fine.)

Summary: Disable (Focus Blast) - Solarbeam - COMBO (Hyperbeam+Shadow Ball)
IF the Combo doesn't work THEN replace it with Shadow Ball

Erm, before I order, I must wonder: wasn't Focus Blast supposed to miss? I mean, according to the data audit in trick room the -10% evasion becomes +10% dodge and +10% accuracy which would cancel each other out. Because of that Focus Blast would keep its 70% accuracy. Since the RNG rolled 71, it should have missed.

    Unless I missed something.

I don't see where +10% accuracy comes in.

RNG rolled a 71, focus blast base accuracy is 70%, with Lickilicky's -spe nature becomes 80%. There is no accuracy boost...well, anywhere.

Probably was a change that happened while you were gone. :)

    Let me make myself clearer.

This is the description for Trick Room on the Data Audit (bolded where it matters):

Trick Room: The Pokemon’s eyes glow red and it creates a multicolored wall, ceiling and floor. Then, the room turns invisible, only briefly flashing when a Pokemon is sent out to show that it is still in effect. Inside the room, the Pokemon with the lower speed moves first. Trick Room also reverses the effect of Spe Natures, lowering the Dodge of +Spe Pokemon by the calculated accuracy value and increasing the Accuracy of -Spe Pokemon by a flat 10 (their Dodge is also boosted by a flat 10, rather than reduced). The accuracy of +Spe Pokemon under Trick Room is not modified; they retain the Nature boosted level. Trick Room lasts for four (4) rounds. If another Trick Room is used while Trick Room is in effect, the field reverts to normal.

I read it as "instead of having -10% dodge, a pokemon with (-) speed gets +10% accuracy and +10% dodge". In that case, the extra accuracy Reuniclus gets would bump Focus Blast to 80% hit, but then Lickilicky's +10% dodge would return the hit rate to 70%, making the move miss.

At least that is how I understand it. If you think otherwise, just say it and I will resume the battle (although Focus Blast hitting = me losing >_>).

10:00 SimonSays The +10 for Dodge is if they actually tried to use Dodge.
    10:00 orcinus oh. lol, thanks
    10:00 SimonSays Fblast's Acc. is 80%.

SimonSays it, so it must be true.

    10:00 Engineer it's a tr-special effect
10:00 Engineer if you are -spe, you normally have -10 eva
10:01 Engineer however, if you are -spe and trick room is present, that -10 eva turns into +10 acc
    10:01 orcinus ah. thanks!

So, Yum being -spe, would have +10% accuracy, which makes fblasts accuracy 70+10...which is still 80.

I still think it is applied the same way the -10% is (automatically) by the virtue of how the sentence was written (it basically said: for all purposes, instead of reducing 10%, you increase 10% dodge).

    BUT

I promised I wouldn't continue this discussion, so yeah

    "yo Übelbär we'll lose"

Übelbär: lick (translation: Totally your fault. You should have predicted that I would change places with that fatty pokemon and shouldn't have used Trick Room, among other things...).

Cooldown - Dodge (yeah right) - Protect.

I've got literally 12 battles to ref. I like flavor, but I'm not sadistic.

    REWARDS:
You two get 1 CC each
Both pokemon get 3 MC, Lickilicky gets 1 KOC

    I get 2 UC
