All right, let's get things started. I choose Dreamer (Ralts). No, I'm not crazy.

Gastly's biggest advantage here is speed. So, strike first with Shadow Sneak as it makes it's first move. Following this, Calm you Mind to reduce the damage it can do and boost your offenses. Finish the tour with a Psychic. Also, if accuracy is a problem in the twilight, remember you can sense Gastly with your mind.

Shadow Sneak~Calm Mind~Psychic

Gastly, I know you can eat a Shadow Sneak, so let's get this. Ralts is apparently standing in there, so just fire two Shadow Balls in succession. You're faster, so you should be able to hit him twice before he calms his mind. Then, let's take care of the battlefield. Summon a Haze on the battlefield, in order to cancel the boosts before he strikes you with Psychic and reduce visibility. You're part Poison, so you should see fine.

Shadow Ball ~ Shadow Ball ~ Haze

Starting out the battle, zarator sends out a Ghastly named Cyric. Stats:

Round 1 Begin!

Dreamer starts off the round on the offensive, stretching its shadow over to the hovering Ghastly. It quickly enters and exits the shadow in one quick movement, hitting Cyric with a Shadow Sneak dead-on. The Ghastly shakes off its daze, firing off a Shadow Ball at Dreamer.

Dreamer then begins to Calm its Mind, focusing and meditating. By the time the Ghastly hits Dreamer with a second Shadow Ball, scoring a critical hit, the Ralts is fully calmed.

Not willing to let Dreamer keep its stat boosts, Cyric releases a cloud of Haze that obscures the battlefield, erasing Dreamer's stat drops. Unfazed, the Ralts uses its mental abilities to locate Cyric and slams it to the floor with a Psychic.

Good work Cyric! Time to turns his dreams into nightmares now. Call upon your dark powers, and fire off a quick succession of Shadow Balls.

Shadow Ball ~ Shadow Ball ~ Shadow Ball

This is it! Use Psychic... on the Shadow Balls! Use your Psychic powers to throw them back while they fly towards the air, taking advantage of your lower speed.

If this doesn't work for some reason *cough* physics *cough*, aim the Psychics at Gastly himself. Oh, and remember to sense him with your mind, not with your eyes.

Round 2 Begin!

Cyric goes straight for the kill, firing off three Shadow Balls at Dreamer. The Ralts concentrates, and uses its Psychic powers to fling each Shadow Ball back at the unmoving Cyric. The onslaught of its own attacks is too much for Cyric, which crumples to the ground, KO'd.

Round 3 Begin!

Zarator sends out his next Pokemon, a Deino named Tiamat. The new arrival rushes at Dreamer, who tries to forestall the Deino by sending a Will-O-Wisp at her. But alas, Dreamer's aim goes wild and the attack misses. Reaching her target, Tiamat
opens its mouth full of dark energy and Crunches down hard on the Ralts.

Tiamat opens its mouth to strike again, which gives Dreamer enough time to link her soul with Tiamat in a Destiny Bond. Tiamat then Crunches Dreamer again, knocking the little Psychic-type out. The Destiny Bond then takes effect, ripping off a chunk of Tiamat's soul.

New Pokemon please, Rediamond.

Gastly (Cloak), Let's go for yet another disadvantageous match-up.

Freeze part of your tail, and slam it into the opponent like a punch, more specifically, like an Ice Punch. While you're still close, hit him with a Will-o-Wisp at close range. Following this, slam him with another Ice Punch.

(Physical Gastly ftw)

Let's fight status with status, Tiamat. As soon as Gastly comes close to Ice Punch your butt, Thunder Wave him in the face. Then, try to disrupt his course of action with a couple of Dark Pulses. If worst come to worst, we'll limit ourselves to special attacks only to avoid the burn's worst consequences.

Cloak freezes part of his tail and hovers rapidly towards Tiamat, hoping to freeze the Deino. But before he gets there, Tiamat releases a jolt of electricity in a Thunder Wave at Cloak, which paralyzes him. Unfazed, the Ghastly floats in to attack when he suddenly cramps up because of his paralysis, preventing him from delivering his Ice Punch.

Tiamat then releases a Dark Pulse from his mouth shooting a blast of solid blackness at the paralyzed Ghastly and striking Cloak dead-on. The strike makes Cloak flinch, forestalling his next attack.

Tiamat fires one more Dark Pulse at Cloak, who is knocked to the floor by the super-effective attack. The Ghastly rises into the air once more and freezes his tail again, hovering over to Tiamat and hitting him with an Ice Punch.

Good job Tiamat! Now chase him down and blast him with three Dark Pulses

Dark Pulse ~ Dark Pulse ~ Dark Pulse

Good, use your aggressive nature, boy. Let the hate flow through your veins. Show him no mercy. And then your path to the Dark Side will be complete. Bar HAX, we have this, Cloak. Don't let him believe otherwise. As he chases you, run straight towards him, establishing eye contact a he charges the Dark Pulse. You know the drill: Hypnosis. After this, it's time we give Jirachi one less chance to kill. Take all of the muscles in your body afflicted by electricity, and squeeze them all at once. Once the electricity is cackling through you, shoot all of it straight towards the hopefully sleeping foe. This should rid you of some of the charge. Use your somewhat freed mucked to strike him with another Ice Punch.

If you get HAXed, repeat Hypnosis. If you get HAXed twice, go to Sucker Punch to go out on a slightly high note while you weep knowing Jirachi hates you.

In short: Hypnosis~Thunderbolt~Ice Punch
HAXed once: Hypnosis~Hypnosis~Ice Punch
HAXed twice: Hypnosis~Hypnosis~Sucker Punch~Assassinate Jirachi

Round 5 Begin!

Tiamat goes right for an attack, dashing towards Cloak in an attempt to even the score between it and the annoying little ghost it really should have killed several rounds ago. But as it looks Cloak in the eye to find its aim on the Ghastly, the Ghost-type releases a wave of mental energy at the Deino's eyes, Hypnotizing it and sending it into a Deep Sleep.

Cloak is overjoyed that he's managed to overcome the many factors that could have stopped him from attacking, doing a small victory bounce in midair. The Ghastly then takes advantage of his opponent's crippling status condition, shooting a crackling Thunderbolt at Tiamat and scoring a direct hit.

Cloak then decides to go for another super-effective hit, refreezing its tail and slamming it into Tiamat with another Ice Punch. Meanwhile, Tiamat snores on peacefully, although he is starting to stir a little bit.

Round 6 Begin!

Cloak decides to have some fun with the snoozing Tiamat. He sets his tail on fire, lazily floating over to the snoozing Deino and smashing it with the Fire Punch.

Cloak is annoyed by the pitiful amount of damage that the not-very-effective attack did to Tiamat, so he decides to go for a stronger hit. Freezing his tail once more, he spins around and rams it into Tiamat with a close-up Ice Punch.

Staying in close, Cloak now sets his tail on fire. That's when Tiamat wakes up suddenly and begins forming a ball of dark energy in his mouth. Before Cloak can launch his attack, Tiamat fires the Dark Pulse at the Ghastly. Cloakis knocked back, but not enough to keep him from slamming the Fire Punch into the unready Deino. The little Deino kneels over, knocked out.

Round 6 Begin!

Mask, sick of the stupid Ghastly and wanting to avenge his fallen teammate, goes right on the offensive. Stretching his shadow over to Cloak, he quickly travels through it and smashes into the paralyzed Ghastly with a powerful Shadow Sneak. Cloak retaliates, setting his tail on fire once more and swinging it into Mask with a Fire Punch.

As Mask prepares for another attack, Cloak decides to disable his final foe once and for all. He shoots a ball of ghostly flame at Mask as it prepares for another attack, the Will-o-Wisp striking dead-on and giving the Nohface a severe burn. The little Ghost-type decides to keep pushing anyway, his tail glowing white before he slams it into Cloak's face in a Meteor Mash.

Cloak, realizing he's not going to be able to keep going much longer, decides to strike at Mask one more time. Setting his tail ablaze again, he smashes it into Mask with another Fire Punch. The burned, weakened Mask makes a final effort, his glowing tail slamming home onto Cloak with another Meteor Mash. The two Pokemon stare each other down, not willing to give in. Suddenly Cloak groans. The Ghastly silently falls to the ground, knocked out.

Rediamond, a new Pokemon and attacks, please.

Vulpix, go!

First, start off with a Flame Burst. Even if it hits Nohface directly, embers should still scatter behind him. If he tries to dodge the attack, don't even bother to hit, and simply light the forest on fire. Following this, use Quick Attack through Nohface and into the fire or embers on the ground behind him to activate Flash Fire. Finish things by shooting a flamethrower at Nohface. He will probably try to dig at some point, but aside from Flamethrower, none of our attacks really need to hit. If he uses evasive digging on action three, simply Chill.

Flame Burst~Quick Attack~Flamethrower/Chill

Mask, do your best to dodge Vupix's Flame Burst and take cover in the shadows (it's twilight, work it somehow, my lil' shade!). Once you're safe, get rid of your burn and Psycho Shift it onto a nearby tree. Then, burrow your way underground and hit the Vulpix from below with Dig. you're slower, so you should be able to avoid the Flamethrower and hit him hard.

Dodge and go to hide - Psycho Shift - Dig
