Okay unless people have anything specifically helpful or has actual use, I don't need anymore nitpicking or want to hear what you have to say.

Personally I don't think Steel Wing deserves to be on the set. Zubat hates being matched up against Rock-types and they'll all just kill Zubat with Stone Edge or whatnot. Plus, Rock-types bar Aaken have way too much defense to care about Steel Wing. I also think you should slash a Choice Scarf as the item on the Choice Band set and rename it Choice, as Scarf Zubat makes a good check to Zuruggu.
People are suggesting stuff like this, but you're not considering anything. Is there a reason why Steel Wing gets its own moveslot? Is there a reason why a scarf set isn't viable? I really think you should actually consider our comments instead of asking if anyone has anything helpful. If you're not open to any feedback this analysis won't get any better. I definitely think a Nasty Plot set should be up there. Since you're saying it's "lackluster and better left to other Pokemon," maybe you should take off the stallbreaker set because other Pokemon, like Natu, do that better. We don't not add sets because they're outclassed by other Pokemon, as long as they're effective because every Pokemon needs an analysis. Although Zubat has a slight niche in this metagame, it's pretty outclassed as it is by Murkrow who has a better movepool and better stats, but this still doesn't mean you should refrain from adding a set that Zubat can pull off, such as Nasty Plot.

I never said there was, I just haven't updated the OP yet.

I know SR damage+LO recoil sucks, but is there anything Zubz kills with CB it doesn't with Life Orb?

Also, yeah, mixed Zubz does well with Brave Bird/Heat Wave/Super Fang/U-turn or HP Fighting.

Also, yeah, Nasty Plot is cool. Poison/Fire is only resisted by Tentacool iirc, who isn't that common really.

EDIT: Fuck.

EDIT2: All but Hitomoshi get hit by HP Grass...

EDIT3: Air Slash/Heat Wave/HP Grass hits everything?

actually Darkamber...
Pokémon that resist Fire/Poison: Type resist: Tentacool, Tentacruel, Geodude, Graveler, Golem, Onix, Rhyhorn, Rhydon, Omanyte, Omastar, Kabuto, Kabutops, Aerodactyl, Sudowoodo, Wooper, Quagsire, Qwilfish, Magcargo, Corsola, Larvitar, Pupitar, Tyranitar, Marshtomp, Swampert, Nosepass, Numel, Camerupt, Vibrava, Flygon, Lunatone, Solrock, Barboach, Whiscash, Relicanth, Regirock, Cranidos, Rampardos, Gastrodon, Bonsly, Gible, Gabite, Garchomp, Rhyperior, Giratina, Giratina-O, Dangoro, Gantoru, Gigaiasu, Gamagaru, Gamageroge, Purotooga, Abagoora, Aaken, Aakeosu, Pururiru, Burungeru, Hitomoshi, Ranpuraa, Shandera, Terakion. // Ability and type resist: Heatran (Flash Fire).

Yeah...but I agree, LO should probably get an AC mention in the choice set. IIRC Zubat hits 19 HP which makes LO recoil 1.

when you hit 12 SpA with Air Slash as your STAB i don't really see how effective Nasty Plot can be, I'd really like to see some calcs before it's just thrown in because "it's ok to be lackluster"

edit: i really don't care who does them, zeph or charmander

I wasn't even going to add the set until people started giving me shit for not including it in there.

Crux

Banned deucer.
I don't see the point in a Choice Band set, at all. The difference between the damage outputs between Life Orb and Choice Band are negligible (if there is a difference at all) and the ability to change moves is probably better for Zubat.

I would use Sludge Bomb over Heat Wave on the Nasty Plot set.

Just a side note, but you probably shouldn't write in the first person. (And stall is very common)

I'll add Sludge Bomb in as an option.

Also wow at everyone giving me the opposite of each others advice.

Ok, Nasty Plot set sucks, absolutely terrible. Just remove it and add it to OC.

I like the stallbreaker set, it's probably the best Zubat set and actually worth running.

Scarf Zubat is notable because it can OHKO Zuruggu after SR (or prior damage.)

In summary, ditch NP, keep the other two and I'll stamp it.

QC Approved 1/2

~GP check 1/2~

[Overview]

This little guy is definitely under appreciated in the Little Cup tier, with incredible STAB,(comma) and a pretty good movepool, Crobat's little brother jr can play as is quite an asset to the team. Zubat is a very versatile Pokemon, it can pull off many jobs and is an overall great Pokemon, why he is almost never seen on the ladder is beyond me. Although at the time, Murkrow has more going for it then Zubat, despite Murkrow being a suspect and is susceptible to being banned, Zubat has a number of niches to it's name, the most useful being the its 4x resistance to the popular Fighting-type moves that wreak havoc in Little Cup.

[SET]
name: Choice Bat
move 1: Brave Bird
move 2: Steel Wing / Super Fang
move 3: Bite / Pursuit
move 4: Pursuit / Heat Wave / U-turn
item: Choice Scarf / Choice Band
nature: Jolly / Adamant
Ev's: 36 HP / 236 Atk / 236 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

This guy Zubat makes for a pretty good lead,(comma) he comes out at the start of the match and can just fires off immensely powerful Brave Bird, at 120 Base Power, along with STAB and STAB with Choice Band, instant explosive power in a frailer metagame is vastly under looked. Steel Wing is usually mostly an unused move, but the seldom Rock-types who switch into a predicted Brave Bird can be 2HKOed by it. are the first thing coming at you to attempt to suck up a Brave Bird, and a CB steel Wing crushes them on the switchin, if they even manage to survive the switch in, you can quickly attack again and it should be the end of there Brave Bird sponge. The third slot gives you provides more type coverage, you Zubat can use a either Dark move of your choice to be able to kill stuff damage opponents without resorting to giving up HP for a Brave Bird. The last move is more of mainly a filler, You can use Pursuit can be used if you didn't choose it as your primary Dark move, although without Heat Wave,(comma) the (very slim) amount of Steel-types could otherwise wall this set. If you decide to run Heat Wave, Naive or Hasty nature can be used as the nature. U-turn is also a great option toforce keep control of your offensive pressure on the opponent.(full stop) If you don't care much about mind the Brave Bird recoil, you can still use it to hit Ghosts for plenty of damage and forego without a Dark-type attack, and can use the last two slots for both U-turn and Heat Wave.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Double-Edge or Facade can be used in the final slot, but they're pretty lackluster compared to the numerous other good options available. Zubat's 4x resistance to Fighting-type attacks makes it an excellent counter to Fighting-types in LC,(comma) and gives it an easy switch in where it can start firing off STAB Brave Birdto come and start firing off more Choice Band Brave Birds. Perfect coverage with the move pool options along with powerful STAB lets Zubat 2hko most things with the right move. Tesshiido is the main Steel-type seen in LC,(comma) but is still takes hit neutrally by to Brave Bird because of its Grass / Steel typing, so dropping making Heat Wave less important. can be done in favor of other options. Scarf Zubat completely is a great check to Dragon Dance Zuruggu, a huge threat in Little Cup. Life Orb is also viable on this set.

[SET]
name: Stallbreaker
move 1: Brave Bird
move 2: Super Fang
move 3: Taunt / Toxic
move 4: Roost
item: Evolution Stone
nature: Jolly
Ev's: 236 HP / 32 Atk / 236 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

I know it's Although stall is very uncommon in Little Cup, particularly in a metagame where Vulpix roam free and gives birth to quite a few sun teams, among other offensive teams. Though it would be very unwise to be unpreparedfor it stall, especially since when done right,(comma) not only is stall viable in Little Cup, it can be very successful. This Zubat has quite a bit of good stall breaking abilities, with Evolution Stone, most slower defensive Pokemon are not going to out damage your abilityZubat's Roost.(full stop) Taunt stops them from setting up or inflicting status doing anything otherwise, whereas Super Fang bypasses defenses and swiftly deals 50% to the opposing pokemon. When you're not against stall, this still functions as a decent bulky Pokemon capable of checking many Fighting-types pokemon upon switching in, and can also deal a hefty amount of damage with STAB Brave Bird,(comma) despite being on the defensive side. Toxic can be used over Taunt, but it is up down to personal preference.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

With Taunt and Roost,(comma) Zubat can switch into,(comma) and beat a defeat boosted Dokkora. Any Pokemon slower than it can be immediately knocked out of 50% of its HP, hit with Super Fang, and usually knocked out by a follow up Brave Bird.(full stop) Zubat also easily stops and renders Tesshiido useless. It can not only break stall, but can do a decent job of stalling itself between Taunt, Roost, and its respectable bulk.

[Team Options]

For the Choice set, any form of entry hazard is welcomed with open arms, as a Choice Banded Brave Bird can deal so much damage as it is, Stealth Rock and Spikes can quickly turn even KO Pokemon resisting Brave Bird into the OHKO'd crowd. Tesshiido makes a great defensive partner to any Zubat, laying down the needed entry hazards and resisting a number of Zubat's weaknesses. Chinchou makes an excellent offensive partner, absorbing and resisting a few of Zubat's weaknesses, while Zubat resists Chinchou's weaknesses, as they can shred the opponent's team with both their STAB 120 Base Power attacks. Magnemite can capture trap the few Steel-types in Little Cup for Zubat to fire off more reckless Brave Birds, as well as providing good defensive synergy with Zubat. Zubat can keep offensive pressure going with U-turn and Brave Bird in any Spikes stacking offensive team, and does this well with Volt Change Chinchou. Any team that is lacking a Fighting resist or has a problem with Fighting typed attacks in general can find a use for Zubat.

[Optional Changes]

Zubat can pull off a mediocre at best set consisting of Nasty Plot set with Air slash and Hidden power Fighting with a filler. Zubat has an astonishingly vast amount of viable support moves for any teams benefits. Whirlwind on Zubat can prove useful if you can use it at the right time,(comma) and just make sure you have entry hazards on the field laid out. Zubat has access to Hypnosis, although generation 5 has again cut down Hypnosis's accuracy, it is by no means unusable in this metagame. Though gimmicky, Zubat can make use of many other support moves such as Confuse Ray, Attract, and Captivate and other moves. Haze can be used in an attempt to stop Pokemon that got out of your control setting that attempt to set up, namely Calm Mind variants of Murkrow. Zubat does in fact get access to Nasty Plot, though it is usually not very effectively used on Zubat, and is better left to other pokemon. Mixed is also possible, with either Evolution Stone or Life Orb.

[Counters]

Most Steel-types pokemon can give Zubat trouble, although there aren't usually few and far between many in this metagame. Magnemite isn't seen often,(comma) but it can switch into Brave Bird and threaten Zubat with its STAB Electric attacks. Chinchou and most other Electric Pokemon that resist Brave Bird and can then outspeed Zubat can force it to switch out in most instances, increasing residual damage from Stealth Rock. Despite most of the pokemon being able to switch in and threaten Zubat, nothing can safely switch in to Zubat, no pokemon bar can switch in without risking half their HP straight away from Super Fang, and even then all the Ghost-types are 2HKOed by Brave Bird. Even though Scarf Chinchou can switch in, it is 2HKOed by two Brave Bird or a Super Fang followed by a Brave Bird.

this is just part of the whole scarf set thingy....

on the scarf set, you can split EVs. In fact, a Naughty Zubat with BBird, U-Turn, HP Ice, and Heat Wave is very anti-meta.

Also, OP, you should probably put in more cons about Zubat. He has mediocre Attack and Speed, poor overall defenses, and limited coverage with his STABs. He's also 2x weak to Stealth Rock.

With Taunt and Roost, Zubat can switch into, and defeat boosted Dokkora. Any Pokemon slower than it can be hit with Super Fang, and usually knocked out by a followup Brave Bird. Zubat also stops and renders Tesshiido useless. It can not only Not only does it break stall, but it can do a decent job of stalling itself between Taunt, Roost, and its respectable bulk.

[Team Options]

For the Choice set, any form of entry hazard is welcomed with open arms. as a Choice Banded Brave Bird can deal so much damage as it is creates tremendous offensive pressure, forcing switches that allow Stealth Rock and Spikes can to quickly KO Pokemon resisting Brave Bird to quickly rack up damage that adds up to KOs. Tesshiido makes a great defensive partner to any Zubat, laying down the needed entry hazards and resisting a number of Zubat's weaknesses. Chinchou makes an excellent offensive partner, absorbing and resisting a few of Zubat's weaknesses, while Zubat resists Chinchou's weaknesses. The power of their combined 120 base STAB attacks as they can shred the opponent's team with both their STAB 120 Base Power attacks. Magnemite can trap the few Steel-types in Little Cup, as well as providing good defensive synergy with Zubat. Zubat can keep offensive pressure going with U-turn and Brave Bird in any Spikes stacking offensive team, and does this well with Volt Change Chinchou. Any team that is lacking a Fighting resist or has a problem with Fighting attacks in general can find a use for Zubat.

[Optional Changes]

Zubat can pull off a mediocre Nasty Plot set with Air Slash and Hidden power Fighting with a filler. Zubat has an astonishingly vast amount of pool of viable support moves for any team's benefits. Whirlwind can prove useful if you can use it at the right time, just make sure you have entry hazards on the field. Zubat has access to Hypnosis, and although Platinum and subsequent games generation 5 have cut down Hypnosis's accuracy, it is by no means unusable in this metagame. Though gimmicky, Zubat can make use of many other support moves such as Confuse Ray, Attract, and Captivate. Haze can be used in an attempt to stop Pokemon that attempt to set up, namely notably Calm Mind variants of Murkrow.

[Counters]

Most Steel-types can give Zubat trouble, although there aren't many in this metagame. Magnemite isn't seen often, but it can switch into Brave Bird and threaten Zubat with its STAB Electric attacks. Chinchou and most other Electric Pokemon that resist Brave Bird can force it to switch out in most instances, increasing residual damage from Stealth Rock. Despite most of the p many Pokemon being able to switch in and threaten Zubat, nothing can safely switch in to Super Fang except for , and even then all the Ghost-types, which are conveniently 2HKOed by Brave Bird. Even though Scarf Chinchou can switch in, but it is 2HKOed by Brave Bird or a Super Fang followed by Brave Bird.

[Overview]

This little guy is definitely under[remove space]appreciated in Little Cup,; with incredible STAB, and a pretty good movepool, Crobat's little brother is quite an asset to the team. Zubat is a very versatile Pokemon, as it can performull off many jobs and is an overall great Pokemon. Why he is almost never seen on the ladder is beyond me. While Murkrow is a popular flying type that generally outclasses it, Zubat has a number of unique characteristics to it's name, with its most useful attribute coming in the form of a 4x resistance to Fighting-type moves. While it has its ups and downs, Zubat is an asset to almost any team when its help is needed.

[SET COMMENTS]

Zubat makes for a pretty good lead, starting the match and by firing off immensely powerful Brave Birds, with the added power of STAB and Choice Band. Steel Wing is mostly unused, but the seldom Rock-types who switch into a predicted Brave Bird can be 2HKOed by it. The third slot provides more type coverage,; Zubat can use either Dark-type move to damage opponents without resorting to Brave Bird [it's a good idea to explain why they're both slashed]. The last move is mainly a filler,; Pursuit can be used if you didn't choose it as your primary Dark-type move, although without Heat Wave, Steel-types wall this set Zubat. If you decide to run Heat Wave, a Naive or Hasty nature can be used. U-turn is also a great option to force offensive pressure on the opponent. If you don't mind the Brave Bird recoil, you can use it to hit Ghosts for plenty of damage and forgo a Dark-type attack, and can use the last two slots for both U-turn and Heat Wave. [this makes about as much sense as...I don't even know]

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Double-Edge or Facade can be used in the final slot, but they're pretty lackluster compared to the other good options available. Zubat's 4x resistance to Fighting-type attacks makes it an excellent counter to Fighting-types in LC, and gives it an easy switch in to start firing off STAB Brave Bird. Ferroseed is the main Steel-type seen in LC, but is still hit neutrally by Brave Bird because of its Grass / Steel typing, making Heat Wave less important. Scarf Zubat is a great check to Dragon Dance Scraggy, a huge threat in Little Cup. Life Orb is also viable on this set.

[SET COMMENTS]

Although stall is very uncommon in Little Cup, it would be unwise to be unprepared for it,; when done right, not only is stall viable in Little Cup, but it can be is very successful. This Zubat has good stall breaking abilities. With an Eviolite, most slower defensive Pokemon are not going to out damage Zubat's Roost. Taunt stops them from setting up or inflicting status, whereas Super Fang bypasses defenses and swiftly deals 50% to the opposing Pokemon. When you're not against stall, this still functions as a decent bulky Pokemon capable of checking many Fighting-types, and can also deal a hefty amount of damage with STAB Brave Bird, despite being on the defensive side. Toxic can be used over Taunt, but it is down to personal preference.
