I need rates. So does this team. v2.0

This is an updated version of my old thread titled "I need rates. So does this team." I have recently been working on adding new Pokemon, and taking care of other types, adding more Pokemon to get better coverage and take care of weaknesses. Some of the Pokemon (4) are still the same, however, I have devised a new plan with them, a better strategy, etc.

Well, I now present to you, my new team!

Gengar @ Leftovers
Timid
Levitate
6 HP / 252 Special Attack / 252 Speed
31 / 30 / 27 / 21 / 25 / 29
- Will-o-Wisp
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Shadow Ball

My starter. It's fun, versatile, and a great starter. Standard (non-ice Beam) Blissey can't touch Gengar except for inflicting Thunder Wave on it (and with a Substitute up that has no effect). Skarmory won't want to face it since it is 1-2KOed by Thunderbolt. I've added Shadow Ball as an option since it 1-2KOs all the majority of Psychic Pokémon and 1-2KOs all the Ghost Pokémon except Dusclops. Will-o-Wisp is there to scare off Physical Sweepers and Tanks.

Weavile @ Life Orb
Jolly
Pressure
252 Attack / 252 Speed
29 / 31 / 30 / 28 / 22 / 31
- Pursuit
- Ice Shard
- Brick Break
- Night Slash

Weavile is great on those predicted switches. If I predict it, use Pursuit, obviously. If I don't think they will switch, I will generally go with the STAB Night Slash. Brick Break is there for Protecters, etc. Ice Shard is for Dragons.

Torterra @ Leftovers
Impish
Overgrow
252 HP / 148 Attack / 108 Defense
30 / 29 / 27 / 22 / 27 /21
- Earthquake
- Wood Hammer
- Stealth Rock
- Leach Seed

My Physical Wall. I usually start with a Stealth Rock, then a Leech Seed. If Leech Seeds can force a switch out, I get the with the Rocks. If not, I steal HP. Earthquake and Wood Hammer are they for coverage and STAB. I won't replace Wood Hammer, mainly because between Leech Seed and Leftovers, I'm bound to get the HP back.

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Adamant
Intimidate
212 HP / 16 Attack / 180 Defense / 100 Speed
29 / 22 / 26 / 27 / 26 / 22
- Dragon Dance
- Taunt
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge

Usually, I start out with a taunt unless they start with a Bug, which then, I will Dragon Dance followed by a Stone Edge. That can usually 2HKO or probably OHKO them. Bug Pokemon are my main problem, so, I try to keep him alive in case one comes along. Waterfall is there because of power.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Bold
Natural Cure
252 HP / 252 Defense / 6 Special Attack
31 / 22 / 21 / 26 / 25 / 29
- Seismic Toss
- Thunder Wave
- Ice Beam
- Softboiled

Standard Blissey.

Donphan @ Leftovers
Impish
Sturdy
252 HP / 86 Attack / 172 Defense
30 / 28 / 26 / 21 / 21 / 27
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Roar

I see 252 Attack EV's on Gengar that don't seem to do anything, put them elsewhere.

Also, what's Donphan doing with HPBug? Such a special based attack will not do a lot of damage coming from Donphan. Give it Stone Edge or Roar.

Hehe. I typed the wrong thing. Thanks for correcting me.

Yeah, I know. That's been on there for a while back from when it was on my Diamond before I knew everything I do now. I'm changing it to Roar. The way I see it, it's another force into Stealth Rocks besides Torterra's Leech Seed.

What do you think of this team, Kindred?

McIceGar, wtf? You're mistaken. McIceGar had Substitute/Focus Punch/Thunderbolt/Ice Punch. That's nothing like the Gengar you have. How does Toxic scare off physical sweepers? Poison doesn't bother any of them and anything with Guts would like nothing better but to be poisoned. Will-o-wisp and Hypnosis do useful things, Toxic is just a waste of space.

I had it at McIceGar when I posted it. I am taking out Toxic for Will-o-Wisp.

Im surprised my charizard took out that pokemon what was it again? He trained that Garchomp really well. The only reason i stayed alive was becouse i kept on switching pokemon like one moment i had my empoleon out then i had my tyranitar and so on.

Okay, that's better. But your Gengar's EVs are a mess. And Leftovers is a no-no on something as frail as Gengar. Go with either Life Orb or Choice Scarf.

EV Suggestion? I haven't started Gengar yet, so I still have time to wipe EV's.

Trainer: Yes, his Garchomp is great. It's one of the few that are well done. I'm not sure which Pokemon your Charizard took out, he didn't tell me exactly what took out what, he just said that you took out three.

He also said that you Tyranitar, well, pretty much sucked. lol.

it looks like a well balanced team it has a little bit of everything i still dont like wood hammer on Torterra mostly cause of the first 2 rules you taught me about EV training *no recoil or recharge attacks* i kno you have Leftovers and Leech seed but it still is full of worry idk what to change it with but change out wood hammer but thats just me

*no recoil or recharge attacks*
What? Recoil attacks are some of the strongest and best attacks of their type.

Brave Bird, Flare Blitz, Double-Edge, Wood Hammer, etc.

They're extremely powerful. Recoil damage doesn't matter because either:

a) The Pokemon that use them aren't going to last long anyways.
b) They have an ability that blocks recoil damage (Rock Head)
c) They have effective means of healing themselves.

I will edit this post with actual in dept ratings later.

First thing that caught my eye is Torterra. Torterra is relatively bad in OU, replace it with Celebi, 252 hp/ 222 defense/ 36 speed. If this is for wifi, ev it so it has max hp, 245 speed to outrun DDTar, and rest of evs in defense. Can help with you're relatively large DD Gyarados weakness(not bulky dos, a speedier version)

You don't need to post ivs, but pictures would be nice.
Go here, and enjoy.

252 Special Attack/78 Special Attack? Gengar? WTF?
Okay, your gengar is messed up seriously. If it's your starter, give it Focus Sash so it can take one whole hit (with no SS) :O

Weavile's cool, but Expert Belt over Life Orb

I still don't like Wood Hammer on Torterra

Slice: Based off the OP's past conversations I think he is against the use of Legendaries...
He needs to get over that as soon as possible or he may have a very unpleasant experience in OU play vs. the most experienced players around.

Legendary status doesn't mean shit. The only way to determine whether or not a pokemon is allowed in a certain tier is base stats and movepool..

Slice:

1) Torterra is staying. No matter what.
2) I am against using legendaries, and I most likely won't change that.

_TALON_:

1) I am aware that the Gengar is screwed up. I am currently wiping all of the EV's. Any suggestions?
2) I prefer Life Orb because of the bonus.
3) Wood Hammer is there for STAB and power. It's most likely staying.

TO ALL: I need EV help on Gengar. PLEASE!

Yagami: I agree with Slice that Legendary status means nothing since some legendaries suck or are worse at sweeping/stalling then several OU pokemon "cough articuno, entei, moltres, Uxie, Mespirit, etc... cough"
but I dont think you will change your opinion anytime soon so good luck without using them.

Also @ Gengar: find a set you like and use it. You might enjoy the LO set since you can KO Blissey with it among other things.

use it, love it, learn it... The analysis pages

Why do you need help on Gengar's EVs? It's a simple 6 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd. You can't get any easier than that.
