Somehow, the Carnivine/Haunter fusion doesn't look that different to regular Carnivine.

Lol, just seeing what you thought, I couldnt think of adding any thing more to it, because it was my friends idea, and I dont like requests much, but I did it for him, lol, but yeah i guess it looks a little to much like carnivine.
I "tried" to redo it, I think it looks worse, what do you guys think?

oh god, all he did is recolor the body and put the arms and legs on. =/i dont find doing one thing to a sprite creative at all.
This one is my first sprite ever. Nothing special just very simple.
For a first sprite ever, that's really good. I like the Slugbat fusion.
He didn't ask you if they were creative, he asked you if they looked good. Creative does not always = good.
I think they are good Mabw, even if they are not creative. Plus you are certainly much better than you were a few months back. A lot better.
i think that creativity is part of what makes a sprite look good.
