The New Pokemon Game: GSC Remake!?

I've got to say, it looks a bit intriguing that they brought the Johto starters back.

Pokemon just won't die will it? Will IT!?
 
There's already a thread about this in the Mt. Silver topic, but yeah, when I saw the picture with the starters I immediately thought they would be prepping us for a remake. I hope to god they are.
 
This was pretty likely, imo, because the new DS, DSi, doesnt have a GBA port on it. Which means all pokes you couldnt get from DPPt, you'll have to be able to get on a DS game, some time in the near future. Also the GSC legendaries and starters are such a pain to get, more so with correct IVs. I think this is great news!
 
Most people are actually going on about DuskGold and DawnSilver. Of course, it's just speculation, but I still think a G/S/C remake is likely. Before the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generations, they'd put one or two new Pokémon in each movie. We haven't seen any new Pokémon; however, GSC Pokémon have randomly appeared in the new movie... I would say that that's a pretty sure sign of a remake.

But more importantly, it will make Nintendo money :P
 
The next movie features Arceus. It also has Heatran and various other Sinnoh pokemon. And the fact that the game has data for trading with the Sinnoh Region is no coincidence I bet. I smell a DPP remake.

EDIT: Erm, no offense to anybody of course. But there have been a lot of 'hints' yet nothing yet. You'd think that people would quit hyping every hint after a while and just accept what comes, but nooooo.
 
there are also like a dozen hints in DP that suggest this, It's not surprising. I suspected it would be coming one day, I am very excited.

Then why would the GSC starters be there?
 
I just hope this is possible, because the nostalgia from r/b/y wasn't enough. I want to see Amphy again!

But really though, they could just release them in an event, it doesn't necessitate a remake :\
 
I think there is going to be a remake, i always thought so, since i saw there is the "johto" region as a capture zone in pokesav.

I would like to see such remake, i will choose the male hero again if that happens haha.
 
This would be great if there was a G/S/C remake as this pokemon series was my most favorite. Involving new move tutors and giving the old g/s/c pokemon d/p/pt moves would make it even better than any other pokemon series out there.
 
Even though I loved the original G/S/C games, and seeing the Johto starters making an appearance I gave up hope on a remake. If they were going to remake the games, Why would they delay it? If Nintendo is really remaking the G/S/C games, just make them and quit getting peoples hopes up.
 
Game Freak has a way of always having something to look forward to in Japan. Right now, it's the 12th movie (for japan, anyway) and the release of arceus, and if G/S gets remade it'll likely be announced on a trailer at the end of the movie, if not sooner.

They also have a knack for releasing games in the fourth quarter (September-December) in Japan, so the timing matches up if they were to remake it.


But saying that there are no hints is just absurd; there's plenty of hints, down to the really small ones. Just the johto starters and pichu being in movie 12 ought to be enough, but the various npc remarks about Professor Elm and Jasmine being in sunnyshore combined with the data being in d/p should be plenty of reason to suspect a remake, unless nintendo just likes screwing with us.
 
If there is a remake, I doubt the Kanto region will be accessible, because FR/LG were too recent for that to be likely. There will probably be some new islands/small region released as well.

Fire Red was released like over four years ago. I think the discrepancy between first and second gen is actually less than that.
