Right, so I was having a ladder match with someone earlier, and during it, a situation came up in which my opponent killed a pokemon with a scizor and said something to the effect of "hooray choice Band" (I didnt keep the exact log, this is just me running off my memory). Anyway, a bit later in the match, and now armed with this knowledge, I send in my ScarfZone to revenge kill it with HP Fire when it had just used Bullet Punch. Easy KO, amrite? Wrong, because Scizor turned out to be holding an Shed Shell of all things instead (weird I know, but this guy didnt seem too bright anyway, so maybe i should have seen that coming), which means heatran got to say gg >.>
Anyway, the purpose of that little story above was to explain what got me thinking about this. Is lying about your pokemon considered acceptable? On one hand, its clearly misleading your opponent, which can give you an unfair advantage, not to mention what would happen if you get caught. On the other hand, its the opponents decision whether or not to believe what you say. So, I'd like to know what the forum thinks.
*indication to discuss*
