Well, we've heard about a new PSP being revealed. A "PSP 2" in a sense (PSP-1000, PSP-2000, PSP-3000, whatever number you've heard) of a new system. Well, we've got a leak on it, and a bit more to it.

Meet the PSP Go!

Looks like the original PSP, only smaller, doesn't it? Oh wait

It's a text keyboard! Just kidding, that's the controls. With a setup more similar to say a Dual Shock minus an analog stick. That's how I see it at least.

Here are some of the things that we know about the PSP Go.
  • 3.8" screen.
  • 43% lighter than previous version.
  • 16 Gig memory.
  • Bluetooth support.
  • No UMD.
  • Downloads games and movies.
  • Integration with PS3.

It says that there will be a Jak & Daxter, a LittleBigPlanet, and an MGS game. I think that's what was said. So, there are things to look for with the PSP Go, but we shouldn't rely on the current things we've seen now. Even though they've come from different reliable sources and hasn't been killed by GAF yet.

So, what are your thoughts and opinions on PSP Go?

Sources from NeoGAF, Eurogamer, Kotaku references to areas to look at, etc.

P.S.: PSP Go! Got that out of my system.

My first thought is that it looks incredibly awkward to hold.

That said, it'll be interesting to see how the "No disk" idea will be received by the public, and the measures Sony put out to make piracy harder; if removing UMD disks from the equation does one thing, it seems to make piracy instantly easier

So no UMD, they are pretty much saying "screw it, we can't fight pirates"? because they will find a way to create homebrew for it... again.

This post makes no sense at all. Why does no UMD mean "screw it, we can't fight pirates"? Steam is a digital distribution network that is insanely profitable. So is Xbox Live Arcade, WiiWare, Virtual Console, PlayStation Network...

According to the video posted above, they're following the same deal. They're still doing a PSP-3000 or something, blah-blah-blah. If that's what I heard correctly.

Yeah, maybe i just jumped to that conclusion too quickly.
