The New TEAM OU [RMT and Fix]

Hello there, I'm just getting back into competitive play and thought I'd get some advice on this team I'm building here. I understand that my team will probably have major flaws but hopefully you can fix them up?

Overview:

For the most part, I did just use Smogon movesets but that's because I haven't battled in quite some time so I don't really know what's good and what isn't. Bear with me because I'm at NOOB status once again. I chose this team because I feel that there isn't a big weakness but they're also a great group of Pokemon that I happen to like a lot.

Each Individual Pokemon:

The Lead

Azelf @ Focus Sash
4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
~ Stealth Rock
~ Psychic
~ Explosion
~ Taunt / Fire Blast

I'm using the predictable LeadAzelf. Stealth Rock and then Explode. Psychic is it's wonderful STAB move and I haven't decided between Taunt and Explosion. Fire Blast handles Metagross but Taunt handles other leads that want to set up. Hmm..

The Special Sweeper

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
~ Fire Blast
~ Earth Power
~ Explosion
~ Hidden Power Ice

This is the common ScarfTran, it's here to resist dragons. So I'm thinking I may use HP Ice on it so I can counter those Dragons, however Latias might have that covered so I may use Grass to hit those Swamperts that are ever so popular nowadays. So I'm unsure about that one.

The Physical Sweeper

Lucario @ Life Orb
252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
~ Swords Dance
~ Close Combat
~ ExtremeSpeed
~ Stone Edge

After setting up a Sword Dance, this guy is a beast of a Physical Sweeper. Having the most powerful priority move in the game + amazing attack stats makes this guy happy to finish my opponent's Pokemon off. I can't decide between Stone Edge and Crunch since they both supply me with coverage I could use.

The Special Wall

snorlax.png

Snorlax @ Leftovers
168 HP / 120 Def / 220 SpD
Careful Nature
~ Curse
~ Body Slam
~ Rest
~ Fire Punch

I suppose everyone is going to say use Blissey instead but I say forget it, I don't want to use Blissey. I <3 <3 <3 Snorlax, and I am going to use it regardless, got it? This guy has been used since last generation, with it's amazing Special Defense, and good attack stats by using Curses, you'll give great defenses on both ends and a wonderful attack stat, making it capable of sweeping. I'm not entirely sure on what moves I'd like to give it though.

The Physical Wall

zapdos.png

Zapdos @ Leftovers
248 HP / 228 Def / 32 Spe
Bold Nature
~ Thunderbolt
~ Roost
~ Heat Wave
~ Hidden Power Grass

What would I do without my High School Mascot? The Thunderbird, this defensive Pokemon gets the job done by killing off Swampert and Steel types, not to mention it can Roost in those dirty situations where it gets low on health or switchs into an SR.

Scarf (2)

Latias @ Choice Scarf
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest/Timid Nature
~ Draco Meteor
~ Surf
~ Thunderbolt
~ Trick

This is here to fix my Dragon, Infernape and Gyarados issue. It should be able to take a hit from most of those and with the Scarf hopefully outspeed them. Meteor the Dragons, T-Bolt the Gyara and Surf the Infernape. Also Trick my Scarf onto some pokes when I feel like it.

Interesting team you got here.

I do see this team having some trouble with Dragon Dancers such as Salamence, Tyranitar, and Gyarados. Your main and only true weapon against this threats is Gengar, who can be easily Pursuited or the foe may just switch out, assuming you are holding a Choice Scarf. Focus Blast may also miss, or a Yache Berry prevent Gengar from getting that crucial kill.

This seems a little too risky, especially considering how frail Gengar is. Your team may also have some trouble with Infernape, who can must be revenge killed by Gengar, Zapdos, or Lucario, as even Zapdos cannot take 2 Life Orb Fire Blasts. For this reason, I suggest replacing Gengar with a Scarf Flygon.

Flygon @ Choice Scarf
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Speed
Nature: Jolly
~ Earthquake
~ Outrage
~ U-turn
~ Thunderpunch

Flygon is a great revenge killer. Unlike Gengar, it has U-turn to scout the foe which is very helpful. It also has a Fire resist, making it a decent 1 time counter to Infernape. The reason for the Jolly nature is to outspeed ScarfJirachi and +1 DD Mence. Those with a boosting nature you still tie with.

The next Pokemon I would change is Zapdos. I find Zapdos with Substitute / Toxic / Thunderbolt / Roost much more effective in the current metagame. Zapdos still counters its usual Pokemon, but can now deal with Tyranitar much better, who would normally set up on you, as well as Blissey, while also having a way to avoid Explosion. You may also want an EV spread to outspeed Adamant Lucario, which would be 76 Speed EVs with a Timid nature.

On Lucario, I'd use a Jolly nature alongside Stone Edge to outspeed said Zapdos, as well as most Salamence. And use Adamant along with Crunch.

Since you are using both physical and special attacks on Kingdra, a Lonely or Naughty nature is much better to not deter your SpA stat.

Good luck.

If I got rid of Gengar, I'd have no Special Sweeper of any kind...let alone a special move of any kind on this team.

That's an interesting yet weird set for Zapdos, but are you sure it's better in this meta-game?

How am I suppose to use Jolly with Stone Edge and Adamant with Crunch?

I suppose I can change Kingdra's nature.

Team has been hugely renovated. What do you think?

I had a battle today and I have a slight problem with Blissey, once Lucario is gone...I'm kinda desperate for answers.

So maybe a Physical Sweeper? Anyone have any ideas as to what I can add and what it could replace, while keeping all the other threats in check?
