In fact, I could see this being the new 3rd gen, with just one knew mechanic (abilities) and other than that, just a bunch of new pokes and moves. And there will be something like 200 mode, with only so many pokes, then they have a third game with a few more and new tutors, a wii game that gets us everything except most of the hoenn pokemon and some sinnoh, then shiningruby and sparklingsaphire comes out and we can just squeeze out all 600 something pokemon, then another wii game makes it a little esier to get them all.

We could just send then from one ds with 4th gen game to another ds with 5th gen game.
 
They'll probably make something like the time machine from GSC. The only reason they made RSE incapatable with GSC is because they completely changed the stat mechanics.

Actually, it was just the stat mechanics. Believe me, there are still a whole host of Missingno.s to this day and it's never been different. It's just a great deal harder to get hold of Missingno.s now since the games became better-programmed.
 
Dragon/Grass is not a whole lot worse than Dragon/Flying of which we have way too many representatives already.
How many Dragon/Flying even bother with their Flying STAB on offensive sets?
Defensively, it buys is a useful Ground immunity and Fighting resist for Electric neutrality, Rock weakness and 4x Ice.

If they have to stick with the quad weak theme, I'd take a Dragon/Grass next time instead of yet another Dragon/Flying.
Another 600 BST Dragon/Ground will blow all frail minds once more because it will have at least as much attack as Garchomp and be either faster, more capable of going mixed or bulkier.

I could have sworn that a GB can connect to a GBA, are you sure?

I'd prefer a levitating Dragon/Steel to a flash fire Bug/Steel. :P
 
You know, with a new generation of pokemon coming out, I'm wondering what they're going to change in the game mechanics this time. It was two new types in G/S, physical and special split in D/P, and now...

Who's ready for triple types? :'3
 
There is a bug typed legendary. It's called Heracross.

Anyways, I doubt the mechanics will changes. Maybe new move tutors again. Flygon is glad it isn't bug dragon.
 
grass/dragon would give it the most number of 4x resists of any poke that exists so far(water, grass, electric). water and electric are fairly common attack types at least. grass is such a shitty attack type though something like dragon/electric with levitate would be much stronger.

To be fair, none of the dragon/flyings have usable flying STAB. If salamence got Brave Bird, it'd probably be used since it can roost off recoil and fire off a 120BP STAB move w/o being locked into it for 2-3 turns. If Dragon/Grassmon got Wood Hammer it'd probably use it, if only to beat down Suicune and Swampert.

The compatibility is mainly on the cable. GBC games have to use GBC cables, whether the consoles are GBC, GBA, or one of each. GBA games have to use GBA cables. It's thus not possible to link a GBC game with a GBA game.
 
Guys, just so you all know, GBC's can link with GBA's.They use different link cables, but there are special ones which are built for the purpose of linking them; it has four ends, two for GBA and two for GBC. I know this because I happen to have one.

Heatran double resists Ice, Grass, Bug and Steel, which is four. Even Crobat has 4x resistance to Bug, Grass and Fighting, which is the same amount, and also has a natural immunty for what it's worth.
 
I think people are getting confused with a GBA and a GBA game :P There's cables to connect the GBC to a GBA, just not with a GBA game (obviously haha)

Haha this got me for a few minutes
