[SET COMMENTS]
- Great resistances to Ice, Dragon and Dark let him set up Toxic Spikes and Spikes easily
- Payback hurts Giratina-O and Deoxys formes
- Toxic Spikes useful in stopping Kyogre, Groudon, Darkrai, Palkia, Mewtwo, Garchomp, and Wobbuffet. Darkrai and Wobbuffet problems for stall; Toxic Spikes helps stopping them
- Rapid Spin allows more free switching

[Additional Comments]
- 4 Atk EVs ensure 3HKO on 86 HP Giratina after SR
- Gyro Ball can be used over Payback with a Sassy nature and 0 Speed IVs, so Forretress acn combat Darkrai, Tyranitar and Rayquaza. However, it's not recommended as Wobbuffet can encore your Rapid Spin or Gyro Ball instead of Spikes or Toxic Spikes, which are harmful for offensive teams. It also misses out on the 3HKO on Giratina-O.
- Can be used in the lead spot
- Teammates: Groudon. Groudon sets up sun to weak Water-type moves and reduce Thunders accuracy to 50. Kyogre. Kyogre halves Forretress Fire-type weakness. Blissey. Blissey takes strong special attacks while Forretress takes physical hits Blissey can't take. Giratina. Blocks Rapid Spin to avoid Toxic Spikes and Spikes being spun away.
- Counters: anything with a Fire-Type move. This doesn't work when it's raining though. Giratina-O: blocks Rapid Spin and KO's with Hidden Power Fire. Ho-oH: KO's with Sacred Fire. Fire Arceus: KO's with Judgement.

[Team Options]
- Groudon sets up sun to let Forretress take Water-type moves and Thunder better and sets up SR
- Kyogre halves Forretress Fire-type weakness
- Blissey takes strong special hits and can use Wish to restore Forretress' health
- Giratina blocks Rapid Spin to avoid entry hazards being spun away

[Other Options]
- Physically Defensive - can't set up much and Uber metagame is Specially based
- Shed Shell - Wobbuffet is Spikes setup fodder while Magnezone is uncommon
- Stealth Rock - Toxic Spikes and Spikes are better; other teammates better off using it
- Explosion - can take out a Pokemon, but Giratina-O is common and when the opponent sets up entry hazards again or spins, you don't have Forretress left

[Counters]
- Anything with a Fire-Type attack
- Giratina-O blocks Rapid Spin and KO's with Hidden Power Fire
- Ho-oH KO's with Sacred Fire
- Fire Arceus uses Forretress as set up fodder or KO's with Judgement
 
Theorymon has already reserved this. I know he's sick at the moment, but you should really talk to one of the Uber mods first (Jibaku, Fireburn, Great Sage)

That aside, Explosion and Stealth Rock needs to be slashed in with one of the Spikes (Doesn't really matter Toxic or normal). Explosion ensures Forretress isn't *insert setup sweeper here* set up bait, you can at least switch into something like Rayquaza using Outrage and blow up on it as an emergency stop. Stealth Rock is pretty much self-explanatory.
