5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

Can anyone tell me step-by-step how to RNG Thundurus/Tornadus for IVs and nature (no shininess)? I've done stationary legendaries but I haven't done the roamers yet because I have no idea how the PID with the rain works.

Just save inside the ladys house with your chatter pokemon, right next to the door before you go back outside.

hit your seed, and pray when you catch it, it has the nature you want., if it doesnt, do it all again, but mix the chatters up a bit.

enjoy

Lol, don't make any chatters if you're not going for a shiny one. Just hit the right Timer0 and go outside. That'll be a lot faster then if you are going to calibrate first, and the do some chatters and then find out you missed it.

okay im not new to RNG, i've RNGed quite a few things before without trouble, but im getting really frustrated here...
i've done about 50 tries of this RNG and each time i'm just not hitting my seed :| i'm using the same one second delay i've always used for non c-gear, but its just not coming up with what i want
is there anything that can have changed? eg. the delay between the time you reset the game and the time of the seed, or the timer0 or something...

The timer0 can fluctuate, but 50 times in a row probably means something else is up. Can you be more specific on what you're trying to do + give any and all information/pictures

ok i finally hit the seed, im trying to do a rufflet on route 10 where apparently there are no NPCs that affect the PIDRNG, the starting frame is 48 and the rufflet i want is on frame 55, so i chattered 7 times, but ive ended up with a herdier which is not anywhere near frame 55 with ability 0 and encounter slot 0, the next frame that has that criteria is frame 73 :S

A chatter advances the PID frame 1 correct? I just plan on using the Master Ball on this thing because I don't feel like having it run away and finally catch it and figure out I didn't hit my seed.

Also for your question above, when I have a keypress A I just hit A to start the game up and then leave it pressed. I don't even lift my finger from the button and it works for me.

I'm in the middle of a battle so I can't check it for myself, but i know there are NPCs there. If an npc is a trainer, but turns unpredictably, i believe that counts as a wandering npc, so it'll mess up the starting frame. IF that's the case, then your shifted starting frame is actually 66. Try no chatters and sweet scent immediately and see if the pokemon caught has the right IVs (hit your seed) and it matches frame 66. Regardless, check what your starting frame is.

i looked on the list a few pages back of places where there is nothing to affect to PIDRNG frame, and route 10 was listed... :S
but i will do that and see if frame 66 comes up

Thank you for your response. What I mean is: I'm getting the right nature series (Adamant > Quirky > Adamant > Bashful) but the IVs corresponding to the nature are *not* the ones that they should be according to RNG reporter, and the gender is wrong. One of them might be x/Fe/Fe/x/Fe/x on a seed that's supposed to be 2/3/5/31/31/31, for instance, but its only 31 IV will be in Speed, whereas it should be (as I'm using a perfect Ditto as female): 2/31/31/31/31/31. Is that how it's supposed to work, or am I not correctly reading the guide?

EDIT: Maybe I'm not understanding this right, but the blank spaces in between "Ma" and "Fe" are supposed to be the ones occupied by the seed, right? So I'm aiming for a Fe/Fe/Fe/x/x/x frame ("x" being a blank square) on a 16/25/25/31/31/31 seed, and I should be getting a 31/31/31/31/31/31 egg, as I understand it.

EDIT: Also, BW International is for when the cart-language of two Pokemon being bred together is DIFFERENT, *not* only when both Pokemon are of a different nationality than the cart, right? So that, if I were using a Pokemon from my English cart and breeding it with a JP Ditto, I would be using the "BW International" tab to find the right frame. Is that correct? Cause that's the only other thing I can think of being a problem.

I posted this elsewhere but I don't know if it was the appropriate place to ask. If it isn't clear: I'm breeding, but while I keep getting the right natures every time I add a new chatter (1 chatter, 2, 3, 4), the corresponding IVs and gender are wrong.

agree'd. i thought it was clear of frame advancing npcs also.. but no. but regardless, it isnt too hard to find the actual starting frame

Okay, quick question; I've Found my seed, Starting frame and target frame, advanced to it with Chatot (It's bold; I can live with this) Does Synchronise still have a 50% chance to turn it to the nature i wish? Thanks in advance =)

You need to post more info if you want help. There's nothing obvious that you're doing wrong. Post seed and the IVs of both parents. Post the nature, ability, IVs and characteristic of your hatched Pokemon. That should be enough for someone to help you.

hey im kinda new to RNGing. so how do i determine what my timer0, Vcount, and min to max pid frames will be?
How to calibrate

Follow the video to find your parameters. You just turn on your game at a certain time, catch a Pokemon and input it's IVs into the parameter finder along with your MAC address. Fill in all the other relevant info and search for your parameters.

using RNG finder (someone can link it) click on 'set DS parameters' (or Time finder)
Turn on your game without any held buttons, and note the time you turned it on (to the second) and write that down in the box on the left side.
Note down your MAC adress (Found under wifi settings-> Options)
Sweet scent a pokemon immediately; Do nothing else.
Take this pokemon's stats to an IV calculator (I use Serebii) and find the range of IVs
Put these into the box for IVs
Click 'Generate'
This gives you an estimate of your parameters (Note, this is Standard (Non C-gear) abuse using a retail cart (make sure you put that into the paramaters search too

Sorry if this is jumbled; It's early, Being distracted by CoD and Icecream, and Trying to be as helpful as I can =)

right click your seed in time finder, click 'copy full seed to clipboard' and paste it into the main screen of rng reporter. Selected method 5 PIDRNG, and calculate initial PID frame, and it will come up with a list of frames with different natures and abilities etc on. Set the synchronizer tab to the nature of your synchronizer, and then press generate again, it will show the natures for each frame that the synchronizer has changed, so you can see if your target frame has been affected by synchronize :)

If I've already released Tornadus into Unova before I started RNGing, am I stuck with the set IVs. Or will beating the E4 after defeating Tornauds give me a new spread when he re-spawns? I hope a didn't make a mistake with this. I can't really restart my game...

sweet, thanks... Now to do 254 chatots, instead of... 16... >.<

Okay, I'll try and post it step by step to see if there are any obvious things I missed:

-I search for a seed using these specifics: June 2011, Frame 8 only, None/None/None/31/31/31 IVs, Method 5 Standard Seed, Gift Pokemon.
-I choose the seed E09A227DC47EF92B, which is 16/25/25/31/31/31, on 6/02/2011 at 09:21:31 in Time Finder. In RNG Reporter, I put Breeding (BW, International) and Adamant Synchronizer in.
-I put a Japanese Ditto with 31/31/31/31/31/31 IVs in the Daycare with a Male English Adamant Meditite with 31/x/x/x/x/x IVs (I don't know the rest because I didn't think they were important like in Gen IV. I can't take it out now to find them out because I might lose my egg moves) wearing an Everstone.
-Run around till an egg appears, save in front of Daycare man. Party is Volcarona, Victreebel (Sweet Scent), and 2 Chatot.
-Set time on DS Lite, hit the right time, go on, do advances and get egg really fast.
-Immediately fly to Victory Road, take a few steps up and inside the cave, Sweet Scent, run into wild Pokemon.
-Wild Pokemon has the right IVs (Frame 14, to be specific).
-Fly to Castlelia City, get on Skyarrow Bridge, ride back and forth until egg hatches.
-Egg has the right nature according to how many chatters I did (1=Adamant, 2=Quirky, 3=Adamant, 4=Bashful) and those four natures are all in a row starting at frame 48. Nothing else is right: Gender is the opposite of what it's supposed to be, and none of the IVs have been inherited according to what's listed in the same bar. For instance, I'm aiming for Fe/Fe/Fe/x/x/x frame, on a 16/25/25/31/31/31 seed; my understanding is that the offspring should be 31/31/31/31/31/31, but it isn't.

I don't see anything really obvious I'm doing wrong. Can anyone with more RNG breeding experience tell me if I'm doing something incorrectly?
