5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

Didn't you said you advanced by three using chatots? I am not good at entralink but if you were able to advance it that way before would'nt you be able to do the same when in the forest?
PID abuse in Entralink is time-based.

I tried 173 seconds just to see what I'd get, and I got Bold, Often dozes off. I can't find a Timid, Somewhat vain and a Bold, Often dozes off combination in that seed. :/ Just to be certain, this is what I'm doing:

I search for a C-Gear seed, then right-click to generate more times and to generate Entralink nature seeds. I change the seed in Entralink Seed Search from 2D57DFC8 to 2C57DFC8 (since I've discovered I'm actually one second behind), select Adamant as the nature, set min/max advances to 100/200, then I click Search. I find a standard seed, copy it, then paste it into the main window and set it up as described in my above post. I then locate the frame, round it to the nearest second, then use that as the time for the Gen III tab of EonTimer. I then go back to Seed To Times and locate the C-Gear seed time that I found in the Entralink Seed Search (the seconds shown in the Seed Search was 11, but I use 12 as my seconds value in Seed To Times since I'm one second behind) using 2D57DFC8 and not 2C57DFC8. I then set up EonTimer's Gen V tab as required. What am I doing wrong? :/

Are we able to reliably rng for IVs on in game traded pokemon? If so, what is the starting frame for trades (I'm doing the rotom tade on route 15 if it is a special case)?

You seem to be doing everything correctly. I do notice that in your Entralink Seed Search window, your MAC address isn't completely entered. Could that be it (My DS MAC address also has 0s, and sometimes entralink seed search just gets rid of the 0s, but I've always just played it safe and entered the 0s anyways)?

I'm not sure if that's the problem though, since you said you're confirming your standard seed with Chatot. I can't think of anything else that could be it. :x

I put in the extra zeros at the start just to see if that made a difference (I completely doubted it would, but I'm kind of desperate), and it didn't.

Yeah, I'm using Chatot to verify. I even did a trial run in which I checked up to about frame 20, and I'm definitely hitting my standard seed. I think I'll try a different standard seed.

The only thing I can think of is that that specific standard seed doesn't correlate to the C-Gear seed I'm actually hitting (does that make sense?). Does changing the C-Gear seed slightly in the Entralink Seed Search really have no affect at all?

No, that's not the cause. Standard seed and C-Gear seed have no relationship technically, they're don't correlate in any way, so changing the C-Gear seed in the entralink seed search window wouldn't change anything, except that it would give you standard seeds that will work with your calibration.

Oh, well now I'm stumped. I'm walking to advance the IVRNG frame; does that affect the Entralink standard seed PID frame?

I can't seem to be able to ever hit my nature correctly while doing Entralink abuse now that I have a good seed.

CGear Seed: 13CC6A17 07/28/12 15:42:37
Standard Seed: 86ADA39FC4F6D127
I know I'm hitting the correct standard seed because of Chatots and I know I'm hitting the correct CGear seed because IVs are correct.
The problem is I can't manage to ever get the correct nature. I've toyed with going in front of Arceus and using Chatots to figure out what frame I'm on but it's not going so well for me.
The natures I'm commonly seeing when I attempt to advance the PIDRNG as little as possible (only one Chatot to verify seed, start CGear 10 seconds before timer is ready, run to Arceus and start instantly) are Quirky, Naughty, Jolly, and Docile. This makes me think I'm hitting in the 159-165 range. Now I tried to switch to a different seed with Adamant frames in the 190s range and do ~30 advances with my Chatot while I'm waiting to start up. This again is yielding natures which aren't Adamant.

Is there an easier way to do this?

EDIT: Forgot to add that yes I did offset for the change in starting frame when I tried the new seed.

Route 9. There aren't any WNPCs there, are there?

No there aren't. I was just making sure you weren't taking the steps in the area where your Pokemon is. Your steps shouldn't make a difference in the PID you hit, and if they do it should be a small difference.

I'm honestly stumped as to why you and Slashmolder aren't getting the right natures. You're doing everything correctly :/

What's the average frame you've been getting for Entralink PIDRNG abuse? My best guess is that I'm actually not in the 150 range at all. Starting frame = 41 + 1 Chatot + 10 seconds of CGear before Entralink + ~20 seconds from the starting of the Entralink to talking to Arceus = 70-80 which makes me think I should be in that range instead. Which of course means I should do about 50 advances for Arceus, which is what I originally tried and still have never seen Adamant.

Wait, why are you trying to use Chatot to advance the frame? You're supposed to just wait and let the C-Gear advance. Did you read Zari's guide, about opening 2 windows of Eon Timer and using the second one as your nature timer?

Didn't even know there was a guide for this. Thanks hopefully using that will make things better.

EDIT: Got it on my first try. Thanks.

Not really, but its use is pretty straight forward. Zari and Princess Emily are working on a guide for Entralink PID abuse and I've posted some information on it in past pages that might help.

I'm emuRNging and I need to know if the standard seed will or will nor be affected by me just re-seeding the entralink by pausing the emulator and un-pausing it when the time is right after entering the entralink.

no
learn how to use .dsm movie formats to actually use RNG rather than bruteforce datechanging

So I as long as I re-seed it right I can pretend the standard seed given by Entralink Seed Search was my actual initial Seed?

Recomend any guides/ manuals?

pretty sure nobody besides me and hazey know how to do it. i'll send you a PM.

For some reason my IVRNG frame won't advance. Yet again, I'm Entralink RNGing (still no success), and when I walk 128 steps on Route 9, then catch a Pokémon in Entree Forest, I still end up on frame 21. :/
