Is fairy (pink here) really going to be the only new type, did anyone report anything?
fairy-type-tcg.jpg

I don't understand why Dark has become light blue, and I don't understand the icon neither.
So, I have a feeling that dark COULD BE sharing the icon with another type, and it COULD BE a new type.

*Wishful thinking here* I really hope psychic gets to share the icon with fairy and leave the ghosts and poisons behind. But I guess it won't happen.

I read the about Mega Evolutions on Serebii. You need a Mega stone. And then you need to go into battle. Once in battle you will see a DNA sign and on the bottom it says"MEGA EVOLUTION" And they is a attack on top of that. Once you click it you will Mega Evolution Linked with a attack.....THIS IS GOING TO BE CRAZY! What if you put up three spikes up and S-Rocks up and then Mega evo Lucario Linked with Close comba... EVERYPOKEMON IS DEAD!

Having to use a button makes the MEvos less powerfull in most cases. You will have difficulties switching Mawile in on special attackers since its SDef is low, Mega Absol won't be able to prevent hazards when switching in, and Ampharos won't resist Fire/Water/Gras due to being only electric type when switching in.

I'm really excited for the prospect of speed-baiting using Mega Evolve. Because certain Mega Evolutions are going to get increased base speed when the mega-evolve, meaning you could, for example, switch an Absol in against a Gengar. Gengar knows it will eat pursuit if it switches, so attempts to KO with focus blast. but then NOPE, Absol mega-evolves and is suddenly faster than Gengar. Destroys Gengar with beefed-up Mega Pursuit.

...that is assuming that Gengar doesn't Megavolve on the same turn, dohoho.

Pokemonamie stat...thingies!
What is that pokemon in between froakie and helioptile?Maybe spritzee evo?(Same color but looks different).
I'm thinking that now we know that fennekin learns psywave and psychic, its going to be Fire/Psychic and glow punch might be a fairy or psychic type move.
Fire resists fairy has been confirmed.I believed the rumors right from the beginning and it came true.

OT: Pokemon The Origins Japanese Trailer

Short Demo Video

So, Mewtwo's HP doesn't change. And at least we don't have to translate that page now. Then again, we don't if Dragonite has Multiscale or not. That's a huge drawback in damage calculation.

origins looks alot sicker than the normal anime ash is so retarted i end up facepalming before going through 10 mins and not to mention james sounds diffrent and he was the best charchter

Mega evos being activated through a button press has it's downsides, mostly related to having a harder time switching in. On the plus side this would mean that Megas that have Intimidate/Trace/etc. in their base form get to activate it, which is pretty huge.

Also, now that Fairy being resisted by Fire has apparently been confirmed I'm just going to assume the type chart we have is accurate.

Fuck YES. Food to power up alternative stats! That might mean contests would return! I don't even care if it's the shitty gen 4 contests either. SO hype. Whatever the case those stats could be for some sort of minigame like contests or pokelethon. Really looking forward to that.

quote from Pokebeach

  • To Mega Evolve, you hit a "Mega Evolution" button on the battle screen. You can still attack in the same turn.
This is gonna be SO GOOD...I can think of MULTIPLE situations were if you in a a jam and you need you mon to evolve you just one press away AND THEN CAN ATTACK RIGHT AFTER. You could probably switch too, just to psych out your opponent.

Okay, might just be my brain blacking out on something here, but I can't recognise the creature standing with the back to the camera. It looks like Lucario at first glance, but the colours are wrong and the tail doesn't match (doesn't match Mega Lucario either). Is it a new Pokémon? A creature from another series, crossing over with Pokémon? A Trainer in a furry costume? An old Pokémon I can't seem to remember?

"Finally, at the end of a sizzle reel, a picture of a battle with graphics different to X & Y was showcased." - SMZ

Is this just promotional art or hint for a new game or something? I'm kinda confused to what it is.
I'm not sure Wii U is even capable of graphics like this, so I'm going with art.

It's Lucario. The tail is only slightly off, and the colors do match; it's the lighting and art style throwing you off.

This looks like Pokemon Type Wild in 3D where you can duke it out street fighter style between popular anime characters such as Lucario and Blaziken. It was fan-made by a guy who was an artist for the anime. This probably would never happen, but what if he rejoined GameFreak and they made something like that?

You must not have seen the game "X" by Monolith Soft
I have. It's way overhyped.

This might be an arcade game, though. That would work.

I'm not certain what you mean by that, these graphics aren't ver demanding, and they look about in line with Mk8 and W101.And yes, X too, so this could easily be actual gameplay footage, given all the details

On another note, the throwing animation looks pretty nice.
