XY OU Mega-Medicham the MVP !

Yo Smogon. My name is Azuko and this is my first RMT on Smogon bear with me. Also I apologize for the mistakes that I could do but English is not my native language.

Trait: Pure Power
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
-
High Jump Kick
- Zen Headbutt
- Thunder Punch

Mega Medicham is the star of the Team. Medicham is one of the best pure stall-breakers in the game, able to 2HKO almost every relevant defensive threat.
Medicham's Mega form has 100 base speed, outspeeding the Powerfull max speed Kyurem-B and OHKOing with High Jump Kick.
I use Thunder Punch for touch Slowbro because he is one of the few cons of M-Medicham.

Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 SDef
Adamant Nature
-
Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Knock Off

Best Kyurem-White counter available. Cant be 2HKOd by anything Kyurem throws at it. Ridiculous special bulk while maintaining really strong offensive presence with great STABs.
With the Assault Vest it's really easy to bluff a Choice Item.
Knock Off is a great utility move that will catch a lot of common Azumarill switch-ins offguard, like Skarmory and Rotom-Wash.

Threats: Miniat_6_x_003M.png /227.png /630.png /598.png

IVs: 0 Atk
Timid Nature
-
Will-O-Wisp
- Hex
- Taunt
- Substitute
With Taunt, this set easily shuts down Pokemon often seen on a stall team. This is because I can sub to avoid status moves, then Taunt to shut down the Pokemon, potentially followed by a Will-O-Wisp to deal constant residual damage.
The 28 HP / 80 SDef spread allows you to keep my Sub up against a non-invested Mega Venusaur, as well as Foul Play Amoongus after a burn.

Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
-
Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Thunder Wave
- Power Whip

I really need to explain its role ? Amazing Defense, Set up Rock, Thunder Wave if I predicted a Mega pokemon, Power Whip fot the STAB and for the Ground-types that think they can take a Thunder Wave.
There is not really anything else to say about him. In 90% of cases this pokemon is useful.

Trait: Gale Wings
EVs: 4 HP / 166 Atk / 252 SpA / 88 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Brave Bird
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power Ground
- Roost
This set is specially to handle one of Talonflame's biggest counters, Heatran, having a chance 2HKO a fully special defensive variant after Stealth Rocks with Hidden Power Ground.
Fire Blast over Flare Blitz means less recoil damage, no rocky helmet damage, and a guaranteed 2HKO against standard defensive Landorus-Therian and Mega Aggron, OHKO on Steelix, and no massive recoil from fainting Ferrothorn.
Because Talonflame isn't locked into a single move, I can easily Roost any accumulating Brave Bird and Life Orb Recoil damage.
88 Speed EVs to be able to outspeed max-speed base 91 Pokemon, such as Landorus-T.

Threats: 479-wash.png /464.png /248.png /195.png

Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature

- Dragon Pulse
- Defog
- Psyshock
- Hidden Power Fighting

Latias is a bulkier and cheaper alternative to Latios.
Latias is on my opinion one of the best users of Defog with Zapdos.
Max speed allow you to be faster than Pokemon like Keldeo and Terrakion.
Hidden Power Fighting to predict Bisharp.

Hi,
Nice team you got here, I would suggest giving 4 HP EVs to Talon for odd HP EVs which will let you switch into rocks twice and change Dragon pulse to Draco Meteor, dragon pulse is too easy for OU to absorb.

did you ladder with this team? If so then how far did you go? And also do you have some good replays of this team in action?

Hey man thanks for the rate !
For Draco Meteor i think dragon pulse is a better choice because Latias can stay longer in the field and do more damage. Draco meteor forced him to switch and I don't like that.

I did not start lad because I want the team to be better to go as far as possible. To test, the team rotates between about 1500 and 1600.
(sorry for my english :/)

why are you worrying about kyurem white in ou? it's banned to ubers. and btw if you are talking about kyurem-b, azumarill takes a hell lot of damage from fusion bolt.
252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-B Fusion Bolt vs. 240 HP / 0 Def Azumarill: 322-380 (80.2 - 94.7%) -- 50% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

What?

4 HP EVs give any 'mon an even HP. Do NOT run 4 HP EVs on stuff like Talonflame, as it doesn't allow you to come in a second time on Rocks. Just put the extra 4 into Atk.

I do somewhat agree with the Dragon Pulse -> Draco Meteor change, though. It may force you to switch out, but you can net a lot of kills easier than with Dragon Pulse. Dragon Pulse isn't terrible, though, so really I'd say personal choice there.

And I see what you're doing with Gengar and Hex, but Shadow Ball is a far more reliable move. Soon as they use Heal Bell/Aromatheraphy(or even a Prankster Taunt), you're stuck with a 65 BP move.

Thanks for the reply; And I know Kyurem-W is Uber it's just for show how powerfull Azumarill is ^^

Thanks for the reply man i appreciate it. yes for talonflame it seemed odd since I usually do not put those 4 EVs in HP.
After testing, draco meteor does seem the best option for Latias.
Yes you are right for gengar I will test with shadow ball Thanks !

HP Ground and Fire Blast on Talonflame is cool tech. Would have paid so see that guys face when a Talonflame's Fire Blast was about to 2HKO his Lando-T. Thumbs up there :] I do suggest running Shadow Ball instead of Hex on Stallbreaker Gengar as Hex relies on you burning the opposing poke. Shadow Ball has that 20% chance to drop SDef which can be useful against bulkier pokes you commonly see on Stall teams like Heatran. Good team man! Good luck on the ladder!

Hey man, this team is very cool like the presentation. Good job with colours.

Before all, are you sure to use hex on Gengar? You can't damage hard fire pokemon that you can't burn, and in case of heal bell you play with a move weaker than Shadow Ball.

I too suggest you Draco meteor over dragon pulse.. ok, the drop isn't good but like this you have more firepower stab, with dragon pulse you miss much damage:

Draco Meteor: 252 SpA Life Orb Latias Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Manectric: 296-348 (105.3 - 123.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Life Orb Latias Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Landorus: 329-387 (103.1 - 121.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Dragon Pulse: 252 SpA Life Orb Latias Dragon Pulse vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Landorus: 216-255 (67.7 - 79.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO.. and you lost life orb and much health because of Knock off.

252 SpA Life Orb Latias Dragon Pulse vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Manectric: 195-230 (69.3 - 81.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO.. and Manectric can hit you with two times.

Then Latias is a defogger, the opponent will engage to kill her, latias can't stay long on the field anyway.

Now, I noticed you have problems with Flyng Spam, Pinsir and Talonflame, who saw a great rise in usage after Aegislash's and Mawile's ban, they destroy your team with Return and Brave Bird respectively; you have not a safe switch, the most resistant at this is ferrothorn and he is ohkoed by flare blitz, 2hkoed by Close combat (earthquake does not exist after mawile's ban), and anyway pinsir is played with Magnezone, usually.

Thundurus with knock off is also a problem. Latias is 2hkoed and Gengar is ohko by that move, while the rest of the team cannot take thunderbolt or focus blast, and no one in your team outspeed and hit hard Thundurus.

I would suggest you Assault Vest Raikou over Gengar. Now you have a good answer for Pinsir, Talonflame and Thundurus. He hit hard with a thunderbolt and you earn a fast pokemon. If you see Mega venusaur like a problem without Gengar, well, Raikou has Extrasensory in his movepool. 224 evs speed allow you to outspeed Thundurus for one point.

I hope I helped you. ;)

Raikou @ Assault Vest
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 32 Def / 252 SpA / 224 Spe
Timid Nature

- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Extrasensory

Hey man Thanks for the reply. Yes I like this talonflame set it is so cool <3 and this is so funny to see talonflame 2 OHKO Landorus-T (unless i miss or the lando-t is scarf).
After reflection it is true that shadow ball is a better option.
Thanks man !

Hi man thank you for the reply I really appreciate ! and thank you for the compliments it's nice !
For Gengar your right i I will definitely use shadow ball, this is much better than hex.
Same for Draco meteor i will definitely use it over dragon pulse !
For Raikou it really seems like a good option I'll clear test it and probably integrate it in my team! I really like your reartition with the assault Vest!
Thank you very much man
